Huawei MediaPad X2 32Gb Reviews

Yandex.Market data

Rating: 5 out of 5

Advantages: 1. A unique combination of linear dimensions (thin "telephone" frames around the "tablet" screen), aspect ratio (very rare for 16:10 phones) and screen diagonal (7 inches): the device is really capable of replacing both a phone and a tablet . 2. Very good design of both the case and the official case, high-quality materials (metal case). 3. Good autonomy - the light day survives with a margin when used both in the tail and in the mane. 4. For its price, powerful hardware (own-designed eight-core) and a solid amount of RAM (3 GB, never encountered a lack of memory during operation) 5. The functionality of the official case with a window includes auto-lock, time, weather, call answer, photo. 6. It is possible to upgrade to android 5.1.1 and 6.0 7. The official Russian version at the beginning of sales had a very attractive price. 8. A small but active and friendly community of owners on w3bsit3-dns.com 9. 4G can be enabled on any of the two SIM cards 10. The phone fits comfortably in a jacket pocket. 11. A bracelet (mi band) and a wireless headset remove all the inconvenience of using the device for voice calls. 12. All domestic 4G bands are supported - in many places other 4G devices do not catch

Disadvantages: 1. Support for the Russian (European version) is disgusting - not a single update, despite the fact that there are only about a dozen large jambs in the original version. The problem is solved through the firmware of the Asian version according to the manuals from the w3bsit3-dns.com website 2. The "Voice Notifications" program does not work (goes dumb) with the Asian firmware 3. To combine two SIM cards and a memory card, you need to pretty and painstakingly work with the handles 4. The camera is noticeably lower level compared to competitors in price - unfortunately, the manufacturer left some atavisms of "tablet" origin 5. No NFC - in Moscow, its presence allows you to replenish the Troika card, as well as record any subscription on it, simply by attaching it to the phone. Other methods require getting to the cashier or terminal. 6. The processor is unpopular with game manufacturers, the video accelerator is rather weak compared to price competitors, performance in some games may sag. It's really not critical for me, I don't play.

Comment: An excellent device that single-handedly forms a unique niche in the class of all-in-one mobile devices. This phone has nothing to do in the pockets of trousers. I wish the manufacturer further development of the X (X1, X2) line and more attention to Russian customers.

Advantages: - Screen (bright, saturated colors, sensitive sensor) - Battery. Immediately after the purchase, I went on vacation, the device worked with a disabled GSM connection, used WiFi, a camera and an e-book, an average of 3-4 hours a day. The battery lasted 9 days!!! In everyday life I use it not as a tablet, but as a main smartphone, on average it can withstand 40-50 hours - The amount of built-in and RAM. Everything works smartly, even gluttonous applications, I personally have an SD card even smaller than the built-in memory ... now I don’t know how to score it :) - Camera (especially HDR mode), the pictures are extremely successful, juicy, the focus works great (depending on where the focus is set, the picture changes dramatically). The camera performed well both on a sunny day and in a poorly lit room. - Sound. If the volume of the external speaker is set to maximum, then the incoming call is heard not only in the whole apartment, but it seems to me that the neighbors can hear :) (so this is the first device on which I have the volume at an average value). The sound quality in the headphones, in my opinion, is excellent, but I'm not such a connoisseur of music ... - Software stuffing. Many built-in features that allow you to manage applications (which ones can run in the background, which ones can’t, who can be given access to the mobile Internet, and who can only access WiFi, etc.). Built-in cache cleaner, a trifle, but nice... - Ability to make voice calls. For me, this plus was decisive, since I bought it to replace my smartphone. - Since I bought it on pre-order, it came with a cover. In my opinion, this is an extremely useful thing, but there is a drawback (about it below) - Nothing superfluous (no fingerprint sensors, curved screens, etc.). This is good value for money, in my opinion.

Cons: I can't say that there are serious flaws. There are features that you need to get used to. - Size, but it depends for what purpose it was purchased and on the size of the hands. I bought it to replace a smartphone, and not just as a tablet, so I had to get used to the fact that it doesn’t fit in every pocket, as a result I carry it in my bag and often use the font ... (in general, I knew what I was doing when I ordered ) - Colour. It is a pity that this equipment is only gold, but the cover eliminates this drawback. - If you open the cover completely (fold the cover back), it closes the camera, so you have to take pictures only in expanded form ... This drawback manifested itself when a sharp gust of wind almost pulled it out of my hands :)

Comment: I have been using it for 1 month (and I have been waiting for the appearance in Russia since March). Didn't lose at all, happy "like an elephant"! The device is great for those who need a tablet, and those who need a large smartphone.

Advantages: 1. Speed. All the programs I need work quickly, without annoying delays. 2. Perfectly "catches" the signal. Where the HTC One M7 didn't go online at all, this device allows you to surf comfortably. 3. Optimal dimensions (for me, I repeat). The device sometimes fits well not only in a jacket pocket, but also in the breast pockets of some shirts. 4. The ability to use the device not only as a tablet, but also as a phone. 5. Really good screen. High-quality color reproduction, wide viewing angles, no non-switchable dynamic brightness / backlight adjustment (that is, I don’t notice brightness jumps depending on the displayed content), optimal resolution. There are no highlights that would be visible in the dark. 6. Dual SIM, in which both SIM cards work simultaneously (one can, for example, be configured for the Internet, and the second for calls). This is convenient, because in different areas of the city, different operators can have very different signal quality. 7. Energy consumption. The device really works for a long time. From early morning until night, the device can be actively used. This device looks especially advantageous in comparison with the HTC One M7, for which everything became very sad after switching to Lollipop - sometimes HTC did not even “survive” until 15.00 (and this is taking into account the fact that the brightness on HTC was lower than on Huawei). 8. Good assembly. High-quality metal case, in which everything fits as it should. There is no feeling of any cheapness.

Disadvantages: 1. The main significant disadvantage! When the device “falls asleep”, push notifications do not come, that is, notifications from Viber-a and Mail.ru. This, of course, is annoying - after all, we are talking about a device from which you expect instant notification of incoming messages. Naturally, I set all the permissions for notifications in the settings. HTC One M7 does not have this problem. If someone knows how to solve this problem, then I will be very glad of the information. 2. The device did not connect via bluetooth with the Sony SRS-X7 speaker. More precisely, he did not see this column at all.

Comment: I described my first impressions of the X2 (of course, this is just my personal assessment and other people's assessment may differ). In some points, I compared it with the HTC One M7 that I have. I'm talking about the Huawei X2 GEM-701L ("Russian" version, bought in the official shop.huawei.ru store. Pre-order (for 19,990 with a case) was done in early August). Firmware - B002.

Advantages: Works smartly, does not heat up, with active use lasts for 2 days, quickly charges, fully in 2.5 - 3 hours. The sound is excellent, both in quality in music and when talking with an interlocutor. The speakerphone is really loud. Heavy games pull perfectly, watching movies and working online is a pleasure.

Cons: Now for the bad. 1. In games and some programs, the backlight is constantly decreasing by itself, both with auto and without auto-backlight. You have to swipe from top to bottom, add. A minute later, the same. And the backlight itself is not regulated in proportion to the scale - the middle does not regulate anything at all, all adjustment takes place closer to the edges of the scale - either it decreases in the leftmost position, or it adds it in the rightmost position. 2. Notifications do not work until you wake up the device from sleep in all messengers such as Viber and e-mail programs, I do not use the built-in one. All app permissions are enabled in settings. 3. A glitch was noticed in the notes when selecting text for copying - the right handles constantly move to the left when moving, close to the left ones. 4. In phone mode, the dialing screen knocks out when you press the second digit. You have to call through the contact list. 5. Third-party players do not display control buttons on the locked screen during playback, even if this is specified in the application permissions. Huawei seems to be mocking consumers of these products! Updates are constantly coming out on the GEM-703L, and on the MediaPad X2 GEM-701L it seems that they have been hammered and forgotten. No doubt, the device is excellent, but I have never seen such a disregard for software updates from any company. They promised people from w3bsit3-dns.com that it would be released in the spring, but it's already summer! Iron year without updates and bug fixes. 6. There are no bumper covers, I had to order on Ali.

Introduction

Not so long ago, X2 and M2 tablets began to be sold in Russia. As the name implies, they continue the X and M lines. In theory, the X-series are premium compact gadgets in metal, and the M-series is relatively budget. However, it so happened that the X2 and M2 ended up in approximately the same price category: both are in metal, both are equipped with a flagship chipset of their own production, and both have the same screen resolution.

It seemed to me that a potential buyer will choose between a small tablet with good sound from Harman / Kardon, an American company specializing in the production of consumer HI-END radio electronics, and a 7-inch phablet (it is not entirely clear how to accurately name devices with screens larger than 6 inches and speech speaker) with two sim cards. Therefore, I decided to combine the reviews and make a small comparison.

The Huawei MediaPad M2 tablet costs from 22,000 rubles, and the X2 – from 23,000 rubles.

Design, dimensions, controls

Both devices have a common body design style: rectangular shape, visual absence of screen frames, a lot of metal, golden color. In general, the gadgets look nice, it is felt that this time no one began to copy the "used" design of Apple.

Dimensions X2 (183x104x7.18 mm) make it relatively comfortable to use even with one hand. The phablet lies well in the hand (or hands) due to the fact that the back side is flat and the corners are sloping. Easily fits in the pockets of a warm jacket or in the back pockets of jeans. The phablet weighs 250 grams.

M2 is similarly executed. It has 7 grooves along the side faces. Such a number of lines covering the perimeter of the gadget, and such a design is not accidental. M2 is positioned as a musical gadget: 7 grooves indicate the number of horizontal lines of the stave, in addition, as mentioned in the introduction, Harman / Kardon had a hand in the development of two stereo speakers.

This device can no longer fit in the back pockets of jeans, and there will be little space in the M2 jacket.

Along the perimeter of the front sides there are frames that extend slightly above the case. In both cases, it is metal. The X2 has two plastic inserts on the back, top and bottom (they even differ in color from the body), while the M2 has almost all metal on the back. The manufacturer tells us that the M2 case is made of 99.5% aluminum. Apparently, a thin strip on the reverse side and a slot cover on the right side of the case are still plastic. The tablet weighs 330 grams.

The front panel is protected by glass. It doesn't say which one, but not Corning. In any case, for a month of use, not a single scratch appeared on the glass. There is an oleophobic coating, but fingerprints are still noticeable, but they are erased quickly and easily (usually at this point in the reviews you just want to sing “it’s more fun with Mr. Proper - it’s clean twice as fast in the house” :-)). The finger glides over the surface easily.

The assembly of the phablet and tablet does not raise questions, there is a complete feeling of all-metal “shells”.

The M2 tablet and X2 phablet are available in two colors - silver and gold. However, for X2, only the gold color is available on the official website.

On top of the front of the MediaPad X2 there is a speech speaker, a light and proximity sensor, an indicator of missed events, and a selfie camera. Below is a microUSB and a microphone, on top is a second microphone and an audio output, on the left there are no elements, and on the right is a volume rocker and a power button, as well as metal trays for microSIM and a combined nanoSIM + microSD. On the back of the device are the camera, flash and speaker at the bottom.

The front panel of the MediaPad M2 has a small missed events indicator and a camera. Bottom and top are two stereo speakers (the lower one is symmetrically in the center, and the upper one is slightly shifted to the left - perfectionists will not like it). The microphone is at the bottom, microUSB and 3.5 mm are at the top. On the top right is the volume rocker and the power button, which rises slightly above the side face. A little lower there is a stub, under which the microSD slot and the microSIM slot are hidden. Behind are the camera module and flash, which is not quite typical of tablets.

Displays

The M2 tablet uses a screen with a diagonal of 8 inches (in X2 - 7 inches), and the resolution of the IPS OGS matrix is \u200b\u200b1920x1200 pixels (the same for X2), 283 ppi (for X2 - 323 ppi). To the eye, the graininess of the picture is about the same. The touch layers work out up to 10 simultaneous touches, the sensitivity is excellent.

There is an effective anti-reflective coating, I liked it more on the X2.

Screen bezels M2 top and bottom - 21 mm each, right and left - 8 mm each. Frames X2 top and bottom - 16 mm each, right and left - approximately 4 mm each.

Huawei X2 Screen Matrix Test

  • Maximum brightness of white color - 413 cd / m2 (official data - 450)
  • Contrast - 960:1

The brightness graph is uniform. The gamma is around 2.2 (excellent), the RGB level graph indicates that there will be slightly less red than green and blue. The temperature is about 7000 K. Judging by the CIE diagram, the obtained data corresponds to the sRGB triangle.

Huawei M2 Screen Matrix Test

  • Maximum brightness of white color - 374 cd / m2 (official data - 400)
  • Contrast - 1067:1

The brightness graph is uniform. The gamma is around 2.3 (excellent), the RGB levels graph indicates that there will be slightly less red than green and blue. The temperature is about 7200 K. Judging by the CIE diagram, the received data does not quite correspond to the sRGB triangle: it is shifted to the left, red, pink and blue colors will be a little faded.

Viewing angles are equally wide, the quality of the matrix is slightly higher on the X2, since the colors are practically not distorted when tilted, while on the M2 screen, when tilted, the colors fade into a purple hue.

Viewing Angles (X2 - Left)

In the settings of the MediaPad M2 device there is an option to protect eyesight (turns on only during reading - the amount of blue color decreases, that is, the picture becomes warmer shades). Both X2 and M2 have color temperature control.

Batteries

The Huawei MediaPad M2 uses a 4800 mAh battery, while the MediaPad X2 uses a 5000 mAh battery.

In my case, M2 worked from about 9:00 to 17:00. X2 functioned from 9:00 to 20:00. When playing FullHD video at maximum brightness, the battery died after 7 hours (M2), the same video landed the X2 battery in about 10 hours. With games, the story is: M2 is about 3 hours, and X2 is about 4.5 hours.

Communication options

The devices work not only in 2G/3G networks, but also in 4G CAT 6 (LTE-FDD Band 1/3/7/8/20;LTE-TDD Band 38/40).

M2 has one SIM card, X2 has two (microSIM and nanoSIM).

There is no NFC chip, the rest is standard for any Android smartphone: GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n dual band (for X2) and ac support for M2, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 with OTG.

Memory and memory card

Both gadgets can be equipped with two (Standart edition) or three gigabytes (Premium edition) of RAM. The built-in Flash memory can be either 16 GB or 32 GB. The maximum capacity of the memory card is 128 GB.

cameras

Traditionally, there are two camera modules:

MediaPad M2

  • Primary 8 MP
  • Frontal 2 MP

MediaPad X2

  • Primary 13 MP
  • Frontal 5 MP

Interestingly, the X2 camera shoots, as it seemed to me, even a little worse than the M2 camera. Once again it is confirmed that the matter is not in the resolution. Pictures with M2 have a more accurate white balance, better detail, less "soap" was at the edges of the frames, a cleaner picture (a little noise). Both cameras accurately and quickly focus on objects.

Photo comparison (X2 - left)

Front cameras differ not only in camera modules, but also in optics. The X2 uses a wide-angle lens, while the M2 uses a regular lens. Despite the simplest 2 MP in the M2, the device does a decent selfie.

Video gadgets shoot in FullHD resolution at 30 frames per second, regardless of the lighting level. The X2 tries to increase the ISO at night, so the image is bright but noisy. In M2, the image is dark, but there is much less noise. During the day, the videos come out of about the same quality.

Video from the front cameras are obtained in HD resolution at 30 frames per second.

The settings are the same, the only difference is the presence of the "Light" effects in X2.

Performance and system

The MediaPad M2 tablet and MediaPad X2 phablet are equipped with the powerful HiSilicon Kirin 930 chipset, which was announced in the first quarter of 2015. This chip is in Huawei P8, Mate 8 and Honor 7 Plus. Brief information: the Kirin 930 is made using 28 nm technology (some sources say 16 nm), there is a big.LITTLE architecture, 4 Cortex-A53 cores operate at a frequency of 2 GHz, the other 4 Cortex-A53 cores operate at a frequency of 1.5 GHz. In addition, there is a coprocessor called i3, which is responsible for the operation of the sensors.

Depending on the load, the clusters operate at different frequencies. For example, in idle time, the first cluster sets the frequency to 400 MHz, the second - to 1000 MHz. When watching a video, the load increases: the first cluster is 400-500 MHz, the second can reach 2000 MHz. In toys, both clusters show maximum frequencies - 1.5 GHz / 2 GHz.

If we are talking about the speed of the interface, then Huawei has never had problems with this even on “dead” chipsets, since the shell is perfectly optimized. With games, things are a little worse: the first - the game is not installed from Google Play (Dead Trigger 2, NFS No Limit), the second - the game is installed and runs with slight brakes (Unkilled), the third - the game runs without problems (Real Racing 3).

Usually you want to write about the product somehow in more detail, but this is not the case. HUAWEI has created a truly MIRACLE device in the best sense of the word, both as a tablet and as a smartphone. MediaPad X2 - it's just PERFECT

Gorgeous phone. Yes, it's the phone. I use this technique more as a communicator than a simple dialer. And this size is just right. I observe the dynamics of the attitude of manufacturers to screen sizes. And I can confidently say that this phone is a year ahead of other models. If now the most fashionable screen size is 5.5 inches and more and more people look at 6 inches, then after a while the most popular size will be 6 - 6.4 inches. And the size of 7 inches will be the height of sophistication and advancement. And we are already here. The screen is simply amazing in its quality. The performance is on top, although I do not play toys. But for work, I think this is a great option. I'm going to use it not only to call and watch the Internet, but also to work. After all, I am a computer scientist and use technology to

An almost perfect model. First of all, in terms of work time: if Samsung tablets hardly survived until the end of the day, then with Huawei 40-50% of the remaining charge by 12 at night is the norm. Everything is optimal: resolution, large amount of RAM ...

I like almost everything about it. This is my second device in this form factor. Before that, I used Huawei Media PadX1. This is my opinion, but this is the ideal form factor for a smartphone tablet and it is 7 inches.

I like the size, speed, the new android is pleasant and smooth. The camera focuses quickly, pictures are quickly processed and stored in memory. In general, the camera application pleased. The battery is used sparingly by the new android. Normally lives 3 days, you can also 4, if you turn on the screen less often. VERY good gsm reception. I work indoors behind thick walls and armored glass, I know what I'm talking about.

Basically, all the problems are in the raw firmware, which is not in a hurry to update. There is also no technical support, they never advise anything sensible. Also, the combined nanoSim / microsd connector adds discomfort. I want everything, not sacrificing something for something. Too smart with the settings. In general, the firmware is still sawing and sawing

There are minor little things from enhanced security, they are talked about on the forums and continue to admire the creation!

The race of mobile device manufacturers to increase the screens of their gadgets played out in earnest. And if a couple of years ago a 7-inch screen was considered large even for a tablet, today smartphones have almost reached this size. The line between these devices is gradually disappearing. As an example, we can cite a new product from Huawei, which has released another hybrid of a smartphone and tablet - Huawei MediaPad X2. The model is a descendant of Huawei MediaPad X1 () and is equipped with a powerful processor, high-quality screen, capacious battery and compact dimensions. We bring to your attention a detailed review of Huawei MediaPad X2.

Tablet Huawei MediaPad X2 is sold with a charger, manual and warranty card. Please note that the charging cable can also be used to connect to a computer via USB.

Design

The design of Huawei MediaPad X2 is typical for Huawei devices. The model looks amazing and eye-catching: aluminum alloy body, thin bezels around the screen, nice colors. The aspect ratio is 16:10, thanks to this it was possible to achieve its small width, so it is convenient to hold the tablet even with one hand. It is so narrow that it is easily comparable to devices that have a smaller display diagonal.

Most of the front panel of the device is occupied by a high-quality display. The side frames around it are only 3 mm. There are no buttons, all soft keys are touch-sensitive. In the upper part is the front camera, next to it is the earpiece, light and proximity sensors. On the right side of Huawei MediaPad X2 are two buttons - power and volume control. In addition, there are also two slots: at the bottom - for micro-SIM, and at the top - for nano-SIM and microSD. By the way, you have to choose one thing, because at the same time all this will not be able to work. The remaining connectors are located as follows: at the top - for connecting headphones and a noise reduction microphone, and at the bottom - micro-USB for charging or data transfer and the main microphone.

The back panel of the Huawei MediaPad X2 tablet is mostly made of metal and has plastic inserts at the top and bottom. In the most prominent place, the Huawei logo flaunts, just below it is a sticker with a serial number and certificates. The camera with flash is located in the upper corner, and the main speaker is placed in the lower corner.

The assembly is traditionally performed at the highest level, all components of the device fit perfectly, nothing wobbles or bends. The materials used are very high quality, and therefore scratches practically do not remain.

Screen

And this is another strong point of the Huawei MediaPad X2 tablet. For 7 inches, Full HD resolution of 1920 × 1200 pixels at a pixel density of 323 is an excellent indicator. The picture looks very nice, the colors are accurate and very natural. It is possible to view the image without distortion at an angle of up to 178 degrees. The IPS-matrix is made using the latest LTPS technology, which, in addition to improving picture quality, saves the device's energy consumption by about a third. Graininess is almost completely invisible to the naked eye, the colors do not fade in the sun.

The maximum brightness of Huawei MediaPad X2 is 440 cd/m2, which is more than enough even outdoors in clear sunny weather. An anti-reflective filter contributes to a clear image. Auto brightness adjustment works correctly, however, slightly overestimating the level in the dark.

The top screen of the device is covered with protective glass Corning Gorilla Glass 3, protecting it from scratches and damage. It has an anti-fat layer on it. Now stains remain noticeably less frequent and are much easier to remove (you can get by with a regular paper napkin).

Sensor Huawei MediaPad X2 recognizes 10 touches, responds to them instantly. You can also activate the glove mode. There is also a branded accessory "Smart film" available, which, after gluing, adds several working areas.

Performance

The Huawei MediaPad X2 tablet is equipped with a 64-bit 8-core HiSilicon Kirin 930 processor, which is a direct competitor to the top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. It is produced using single-chip technology and has two clusters of 4 cores each: in one, the maximum frequency is 2 GHz, and in the other - 1.5. They are switched on alternately, depending on the required load and tasks performed. The numbers are quite outstanding, but, nevertheless, the processor falls short of the flagship performance. Performance tests show results above average and in principle the tablet can compete with top-end devices.

The device works very smoothly and smartly. This is additionally facilitated by 2 or 3 gigabytes of RAM, depending on the configuration. When performing normal daily tasks, you will never feel the lack of power. The Mali-T628 GPU excels in games. Most of them will start and go without any difficulty. True, some may be incompatible or not run. Most likely, the point is insufficient optimization for the processor used, as it is traditionally Huawei's own design.

The tablet behaves perfectly when making calls. No need to wait a few seconds until he deigns to respond. The Wi-Fi module receives a signal in two bands - 2.4 and 5 GHz. Now you can use the full power of your router in less. The device does not cut the speed, you will get the maximum speed of your tariff.

Both Huawei MediaPad X2 SIM cards are capable of operating in fourth-generation networks at speeds up to 150 Mbps, and third-generation networks up to 42 Mbps. Each of them supports data transfer, so you can use one card for cheap calls, and the second one for unlimited traffic. Unfortunately, you have to choose between two cards or one card and a flash drive. The fact is that the second slot cannot work simultaneously with a SIM card and a flash drive.

Despite the high power, the processor does not overheat and the device does not start to work worse from this. The maximum case temperature is about 38 degrees, which is absolutely acceptable.

Multimedia features

The sound in the speaker of the device is loud and clear, all frequencies are transmitted quite accurately. Although the default settings are a bit odd - they sound like the EQ is set to the "Large Audience" preset. This shortcoming is easily corrected in the equalizer. The headphones sound clear and spacious.

The standard audio player Huawei MediaPad X2 has a minimum of settings, but it easily picks up songs from any folder on the flash drive. The video player supports the most popular file extensions, but, as usual, it does not work correctly with some codecs. Install a third-party player - and the problem will be solved forever.

Battery and operating time

The battery capacity of the tablet is the same as on its predecessor - 5000 mAh. Logically, given the significantly increased power, the autonomy of the device should have suffered a little. This is true, but the deterioration is completely imperceptible. The tablet lasts about the same as the previous generation model. In particular, in reading mode, the tablet will last from 8 to 21 hours, while watching a video - from 7 to 15 hours, but the game will discharge the device in 3.5-5 hours. The results are not record-breaking, but very good, and depend on how the tablet will be used. It is quite possible to count on the whole day of work. You can also charge other devices via microUSB.

Camera

The tablet is equipped with two cameras - the main one with 13 megapixels and the front one with 5. This component is typical for a tablet in terms of quality. It seems to be a good matrix, but the optics are rather weak, which is why the picture turns out to be a little blurry and out of focus. This significantly spoils the overall impression of this model. Although they usually don’t expect much from the tablet’s camera.

Colors are reproduced quite realistically, white balance works correctly. The resolution of the matrix allows you to capture even the smallest details. On the front camera of the device, you can take quite tolerable selfies.

Operating system and programs

Tablet Huawei MediaPad X2 runs on Android 5.0 with Emotion UI 3.0.5 shell. If you have been using regular Android all the time, then you will have to get used to managing this tablet. Instead of a menu of applications, here they are placed on desktops, where they can be sorted into folders. Also, several interesting features have been added to the shell, for example, several power saving modes, a garbage cleanup utility, an accelerator and a call filter. If you have read at least one review of Huawei tablets on our website, you have probably noticed that Emotion UI is used on every device from this company.

Competitors

The nearest competitors of Huawei MediaPad X2 are ASUS Memo Pad 7 ME572CL and Nexus 7 LTE. The model from Huawei is the most compact, only it has an 8-core processor. By the way, each model runs on a different processor platform. Huawei also equipped its offspring with the most powerful camera and high-quality battery. This device is much more expensive. For other indicators, the tablets are almost equivalent.

Advantages and disadvantages

Concluding the review, we traditionally note the strengths and weaknesses of the Huawei MediaPad X2.

Pros:

  • Dual SIM cards, both support data transfer.
  • Quality case.
  • Excellent performance.
  • Improved front camera.

Minuses:

  • Incompatibility with some games.

Conclusion

Huawei MediaPad X2 can be recommended to those who want to get a two-in-one device - both a tablet and a smartphone. The compact size and availability make it easy to use the Huawei MediaPad X2 like a big phone. Although, again, this is an amateur.
