Poland mobile code. Mobile operators in Poland - tariffs, coverage, codes
There are 5 mobile operators in Poland:
The first 4 operators have approximately the same market shares: about 25%. Their price wars have resulted in some of the most low tariffs for data transfer to the EU. On the other hand, this negatively affected the quality of communication and the speed of the Internet.

7. Codes of mobile operators in Poland
An up-to-date list of codes for mobile operators in Poland can be found.
The technology for dialing Polish numbers from these countries is common. You need to dial the country code(in the case of RP this is "48"), then specific locality code or mobile operator and directly subscriber's phone.
The methods of calling from a landline (home) and mobile phones are slightly different - we will talk about this in more detail below.
In general, the set of numbers of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus looks the same, only with the corresponding country codes:
- Russia: +7 - [city / operator call] - [subscriber number];
- Belarus: +375 [same sequence].
Note, when calling from Poland from mobile phones, the number is dialed in a row, without additional manipulations(for example, to Russia: +7 123 123 12 12), but when using landlines, you first need to go to an international line - in RP it is “00”, for example, to make a call to Belarus from Poland you need to enter: 00 [international line] - 375 [Belarus] - 17 [Minsk; different for all cities] – [subscriber number].
From other countries to the Republic of Poland
When dialing from a mobile, the rules are general: +48 and beyond. There are slight differences when entering the interstate line from stationary devices. Most countries use "00", but there are some differences:
How to call Poland from Russia and Belarus?
Both from the Republic of Belarus and from Russian Federation ways of dialing Polish numbers are common. Methods differ depending on the type of outgoing device: stationary or mobile.
From mobile phone
In this case, the method asks for the maximum. Found:
48 [country code] – [city or mobile code] operator] – [subscriber number]
Pressed " call' and the connection is made. No additional operations are required.
It is important to remember that many providers within the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus allow dialing "8" instead of "+" at the beginning. This is relevant only in the territories of the states of operators - for calls abroad, you must dial only "+".
When calling to RP from a landline (home) phone before the country code, you must make an exit to the intercity, and then the international line. Ways to call Poland from Minsk (Belarus) and Russia also coincide:
8 [intercity line] - 10 [international line] - 48 [RP] - [city or mobile operator] - [subscriber number]
After "8", "10" and "48", in cases of free lines, a continuous beep should be heard. Only in this case the operation can be continued.
Some regional companies providing IP telephony services may change the international access code.
These cases are not widespread, and the correct method needs to be clarified in technical support.
How to save?
Programs, applications
You can use programs and applications that use an Internet connection to communicate with Poland. The most popular of them: Viber, WhatsApp and Skype. Calls between users of the same program via the Internet are free, however, the spent traffic will be paid in accordance with the selected tariff. As practice shows, these are extremely small amounts.
Do not forget about the possibility of these programs to make calls to mobile and landline phones., but in these cases, the services of operators are paid.
Call at the expense of the subscriber
This opportunity applies only to Belarus! There is no information about the availability of such functionality in Russia at the time of writing.
To make a call at the expense of a subscriber from Belarus to Poland, you need contact the relevant operator and dictate to him the number required for communication. After that, a call will be made to the subscriber, and if the latter confirms his willingness to pay for the call, a connection will occur.
Switch phones: 8 800 481, 810 800 481.
Make a call from Russia or Belarus abroad, incl. In RP, it's not hard at all. One has only to carefully remember the dialing rules, how to call from Poland to mobile Russia and Belarus, because in case of an error in at least one character (number), the connection may occur incorrectly, which will lead to unnecessary costs in the absence of the required result.
It is also worth remembering that such calls are charged in accordance with the conditions of specific operators, and the same dialing rules do not at all mean the same connection cost.
In this article, we will briefly review all available call options to Poland.
In general, there are 3 main ways:
1. Calls from a mobile number;
2. Calls from a landline phone;
3. Calls via the Internet (free of charge).
Whichever option you choose, you should always stick to the main component of the number:
where:

Those. Polish landline number consists of the area code, as well as a unique 7-digit number.
Actually, in order not to torment you with theory, let's go directly to practice:
How to call Poland from a mobile
So, all you need to do is enter the international code of Poland (+48) and add the number (9 characters) where the call is directed.
For example, if we have a mobile number:
You need to enter the following numbers into the phone:
then press the call button.
If you have only 7 digits, this means that the number is landline, so you need to think about which city it belongs to, find the code from the list above and add it after the international one and before the unique one. For example, we know the number of Warsaw University: 5520000, we understand that it is located in Warsaw (code - 22), and enter the following numbers into the phone:
after that there is a call directly to the office 🙂
How to call Poland from a landline
It is not for nothing that this method is placed under a separate heading, although it is not much, it still differs from calls from mobile phone. If you are calling from a landline, first you need to go to an international line, and then directly dial a Polish number. For different countries access to the international line is implemented in different ways:
As you can see, this method has no difficulties, the main thing is to be careful and wait for the beep indicating access to the international channel.
Free Internet calls to Poland
We have dealt with traditional calls to Poland, now let's move on to Internet calls. There are countless ways here, every year there are more and more new applications for Internet telephony, and their quality is getting better.
The market is quite saturated, you can choose from anything: Viber, Skype, WhatsApp, Bip and many others. In this article, we will focus on the most popular (at least for Poland and the CIS countries) Viber, but the algorithm of actions for other applications is not much different. Therefore, if you are determined to deal with another application, do not rush to close the article 🙂
Using Viber is incredibly easy! All you need is to download free version from the app store (available for all popular operating systems), register (enter your phone number, then wait for the SMS code) and ... call 🙂
In order to call another number (be it in Poland, in the USA or even in Nicaragua, the main thing is Internet access), you need to follow the following algorithm:
If you do not have this number in your contact list
1. Go to the "Calls" tab, click on the blue circle at the bottom right and enter the Polish number in international format
2. Press the green button, then "Free call"
The number is in the contact list
Well, then everything is simple. The program itself reads the contacts of the phone (if not prohibited in the settings), and in the "Contacts" tab, select the one you need, and then click on "free call".
It is worth noting that the connection is directly proportional to the speed of the Internet for both the caller and the receiver, but in our time it is almost a sin to complain about poor Internet in cities, and if we talk about Poland, then it is generally completely (according to my subjective) covered by high-speed . Not a single time in all my travels did I lose connection or switch the Internet from 3G to 2G.
In conclusion, I would like to add that this is not all possible options to call Poland, but certainly the most convenient and popular. That's all for me. Don't lose your loved ones. Good luck! 🙂
Every country in the world has its own dialing code. This code must be dialed before the subscriber's number. We will tell you what the phone code of Poland is, how to call this country from outside its borders (from a landline and mobile phone), as well as the codes of some Polish cities, the codes of Polish mobile operators and the cost of calls.
How to call Poland
To call from one Polish city to another, you first need to dial 8. You will hear a beep, after which you need to dial the code of the city where the call is made and the number of the called subscriber.
Call from a landline
Now consider how to call this country from abroad. If this is done from a landline phone, first dial the international connection combination (8-10). After the beep, you must dial the country code (for Poland - 48). After that, there will be a beep again. Then you should dial the area code, then the number of the called subscriber. If you want to call Poland on a cell phone, you do not need to dial the area code. Instead, dial the code of the mobile operator, then the subscriber's number.
Call from cell phone
To call from a cell phone, you do not need to dial the combination 8-10. Press "+", then dial +48 ( mobile code Poland), area code you are calling or operator cellular communication and subscriber number. Dialing scheme: +48- (city / operator code - subscriber number).
Codes of some Polish cities
To dial, the subscriber needs to dial the code of the city in which this subscriber is located. Here are the figures for some cities in Poland:
- Warsaw - 22;
- Bialystok - 85;
- Belchatow - 44;
- Bielsko-Biala - 33;
- Bydgoszcz - 52;

- Krakow - 12;
- Lodz - 42;
- Lublin - 81;
- Poznan - 61;
- Przemysl - 16;
- Sopot - 58;
- Suwalki - 87;
- Helm - 82;
- Chorzów - 32;
- Czestochowa - 34;
- Szczecin - 91;

Mobile operators in Poland
The main mobile operators in Poland:
- T Mobile;
- Orange Polska;
- Lykamobile;
- play;
- Plus.
T-Mobile is still represented in Poland under the name Heyah. All codes of these operators can be found on Wikipedia.
Important! Since 2003, Polish subscribers have had the opportunity to switch from one operator to another. The number is saved. Therefore, it is impossible to determine belonging to an operator by number. To do this, you can use online services, for example, www.jakasiec.pl .
Call cost
The cost of calls to Poland from a landline depends on which country you are calling from. For example, a minute of conversation when calling from Russia costs from 9.9 rubles per minute (for Rostelecom subscribers). Calls from Ukraine cost $0.5 per minute (for landlines) and $0.66 (for mobile calls). For calls from Belarusian landline phones, the time of day matters. So, if you call from 6:00 to 23:00, the cost of a minute of conversation will cost 0.235 Belarusian rubles, from 23:00 to 6:00 - 0.1645 rubles.
Cost of calls from cell phones depends on the operator. All information on this subject can be found on the websites of these operators.
