What is the best cellular network. What is the best connection in Russia? Connection quality

Font A A

Mobile communication services are included in the mandatory expenses of every family. The cheapest rates cellular communication will be of interest to anyone who does not want to overpay. We have compiled a rating of the top 5 operators in Russia based on market research and customer reviews.

Which tariff is more profitable: with a monthly fee or without

Favorable tariff plans are a relative concept, because each consumer has his own requests and wishes. All people use cellular communication with different intensity. But some of the nuances in choosing the best package are the same for everyone.

First of all, the mobile operator is important, it is desirable that he be alone with family and friends, with those people who need to call regularly and most often. In addition, everyone would like to receive an unlimited rate for calls and SMS, preferably the Internet. Generally, the best plans are those with a flat fee. But it doesn't always work out better. What are the nuances to consider:

  1. The quality of mobile communications. No one will be happy low fee or its absence with "floating" sound and constant connection failures.
  2. Internet quality. If access to the network is important for work, study, then it makes sense to pay more for traffic of decent quality.
  3. Coating. It is important for those who lead an active lifestyle and are constantly on trips.
  4. Price. Since almost every operator today offers interesting packages with favorable rates for every taste, the decisive factor in choosing is often the cost of the package.

Below are the most inexpensive and affordable offers from various operators with a fixed monthly fee, without it, and unlimited.

You should pay attention to possible discounts when buying 2 packages at once or when switching to new tariff from another operator.

The cheapest tariffs without a monthly fee

These are suitable for retirees who are not interested social media, movies, music and the Internet in general. If the priority is only phone calls within Moscow or Russia, then you should pay attention to the following offers:

operator, package Price Service Features
MTS "Super" There is no fixed fee, how much the card is topped up - that's how much you can talk The first 20 minutes to landline phones and MTS numbers in Moscow and the region are free, then the tariff is 1.5 rubles. to MTS numbers and 2.5 rubles. to other operators
Beeline "Zero Doubt" Calls to all numbers in Moscow and the region - 2 rubles per minute, SMS - 2.5 rubles. to any operator
Megaphone "Everything is simple!" 1.8 rubles per minute for local calls, for calls to any operator, all SMS for 2 rubles.
Tele 2 "Classic" All calls for 1.95 rubles. per minute, the same is worth SMS, you can connect additional Internet - 1 Mb for 19.50 rubles.

Useful advice! If you need a special card not for a smartphone, but for another mobile gadget, it is recommended to pay attention to the operator's offers telephone connection Yota. There are different options for each device. It remains only to choose the right option for the right fee.

The cheapest tariffs with a monthly fee

About 50% of users prefer to pay a tariff once a month and not worry about anything else. Here it is important to look at the list of options offered and choose optimal package with a fixed fee.

Good to know! In terms of cost, Tele2 is the leader in Russia. In the line of various packages, you can find quite interesting offers with additional options for 300-350 rubles. per month.

The cheapest unlimited plan

Unlimited - the ability to unlimitedly use calls, messages, social networks, etc. This option is needed for those who use mobile communications to the fullest. What do the most popular mobile operators in Russia offer at the beginning of 2019:

On a note! When choosing a package, no matter what, unlimited, with subscription fee or not, you always need to consider locality. In Moscow, the starter package is always more expensive, in the regions you can find the same offers for 100-250 rubles. cheaper.

It should be understood that the cheapest does not always mean the most convenient and best. If you want to determine for yourself a profitable and inexpensive package once and for all, it makes sense to also study offers from various operators in the middle price segment.

The most favorable rates for travel

Important for the traveler good coverage, switching to roaming, the ability to connect additional options. MegaFon is the leader in terms of coverage quality in Russia – 32.2%. Second place goes to MTS with 30.9%, Beeline is in third place with 28.8%.

Do not forget that now almost all self-respecting operators have refused to increase the tariff for national roaming if the user travels outside the home region. That is, you can continue to call the numbers of your operator while traveling in Russia at the same rates as in home region. But when crossing the border, the situation, of course, changes.

Cellular communications in Russia can be very affordable and not seriously burdensome family budget. Without emptying your wallet, you can connect to any of the operators and get high-quality communication for a moderate fee. But in order not to overpay more, you need to carefully study the current offers, compare and choose the best. You also need to keep track of changes. tariff plans- sometimes it makes sense to switch to another tariff, and not cling to the old one out of habit.

What is the easiest and most affordable way to choose high-quality and inexpensive mobile Internet at home, at the dacha, at work? An important indicator is not only the pricing policy, which differs slightly in conditions of high competition, but also the speed. If you don't want to wait for hours to download required video, then this criterion should be taken into account in the first place.

Attention! With a download speed of less than 1Mg, be prepared for the fact that you will not be able to watch movies online. For high-quality video communication via Skype, you need at least 500 Kb per second. for receiving and transmitting. For online games from 256 to 512 KB per second.

The speed of the Internet at each specific point depends on the equipment and technical support one or the other operator.

The most important indicator when choosing is speed mobile internet

Speed testing and finding the most suitable operator

  1. Familiarize yourself with the basic tariffs on the official websites of the main telecom operators.
  2. Find a suitable tariff that meets your needs in terms of cost and speed and write out several options.
  3. Try to find a map base stations operators in your region (the map is not available everywhere). This is necessary in order to decide which Internet will work best.
  4. The most difficult and lengthy stage: network testing. To do this, you need a smartphone with 3G support on Android or any 3G modem. Or you can immediately buy a modem, so that it is not tied to any specific operator, otherwise it will not work to test the networks. If you do not want to buy, then you can look for renting a 3G modem or borrow it from friends for a while.
  5. For testing, you need to get SIM cards of the three main operators, the tariffs of which you have written out. Connect to them the cheapest Internet and enter the network.
  6. You can check the Internet speed from your phone or modem at http://www.speedtest.net/. It is advisable to check several times during the day. This will help identify problem periods for each operator.
  7. If you are satisfied with the measurement result, connect the optimal tariff and use it. If you don't like the speed, try other providers' networks.

Overview of tariffs of the main operators

Let's say you have found several operators that are quite satisfied in terms of data transfer speed. The choice of one of them will now depend on the most favorable conditions. As a rule, the services of the "big three" are approximately on the same level, but each has its own nuances and highlights that will tip the scales when choosing. In addition, Tele2 operates in some regions, which is a good competitor to the main operators.

Advice. If you have an uncertain signal reception (this can be determined by the "sticks"), the speed can be increased by purchasing a 3G antenna. Advanced technicians will be able to do it themselves.

Almost every provider has a set of special packages that include mobile Internet. But there are also unlimited tariffs, however, since 2015, they also began to take into account the consumed traffic.

The optimal mobile Internet speed is from 512 Kb per second

Offer from Megaphone

For those in need of life more internet, the operator offers a number of interesting options. They are differentiated by the average volume of monthly traffic and may well be connected at any tariff. It happens that the SIM card is used only on the modem. So, Megafon-online is better suited for her with no monthly fee, plus an Internet package.

One of the most economical packages - from 70 Mb per day with daily payment. The largest package costs about 1300 rubles. Theoretically, it should be unlimited, but in fact only night traffic is not limited. For all 30 days, you have to divide the monthly rate. 3 GB will cost the user 350 rubles, and 36 GB for a modem or router - 890 rubles.

Beeline operator and mobile Internet

The "yellow-black" operator, as subscribers lovingly call it, offers a package of services called "Highway". In many respects it is similar to the previous operator, but the most voluminous set of Internet options is a bit more expensive.

Advice. Typically, a phone number that has not yet been called or sent SMS is canceled after 90 days. If you connect “Internet forever” with free traffic to it, then the number will not be blocked.

20 GB with the condition of unlimited traffic at night costs 1200 rubles. per month.
The basic tariff that satisfies the average needs for downloading video and audio files is called "Internet Forever". It differs by the absence of a subscription fee and a monthly gift in the form of 200 MB.

The advantage of this provider is that modems work in all corners of Russia.

Internet services of the MTS network

MTS pleases its users with a line of Internet packages that are a bit similar to competitors' offers. Modems from MTS operate throughout Russia, but a separate fee is provided for this service.

Experts have calculated that the traffic fee at the most voluminous tariff is slightly higher than that of Megafon, and slightly lower than Beeline. Base rate for modems is "MTS Connect". 30 GB of traffic with a nightly unlimited will cost the user 1200 rubles, and the minimum tariff is 3 GB for 350 rubles.

Interestingly, after the unexpected exhaustion of the limit, it can be purchased in addition. By the way, the operator has an interesting opportunity - "Turbonights", when you can connect an additional night unlimited for only 200 rubles.

Mobile Internet from Tele2

At the end of 2015, the long-awaited operator Tele2 came to Moscow. He is famous for his low prices communication and mobile internet. He lived up to expectations - the Internet can be used at several rates:

  • 15 GB of traffic for 599 rubles per month;
  • 7 GB of traffic for 299 rubles;
  • 30 GB of traffic for 899 rubles.

At the same time, you can connect, for example, to the “Very Black” tariff and get 1000 minutes of calls to phones throughout Russia, 1000 SMS and 10 GB of traffic for 599 rubles.

If the limit is exceeded, the speed decreases, but you can continue to use the Internet.

There is one thing - the phone from which the Internet is supposed to be used must support 3G or 4G.

Additional offers

The decision to choose a mobile operator for unlimited Internet primarily depends on the conditions provided by the provider. They may change over time, so check the relevance on the websites of the operators or in the support service. It is also important to take into account additional features and the speed of information transfer in your area.

Mobile Internet of which operator to choose - video

But doing what the Buddha advises is not enough; for complete happiness in our time, you still need inexpensive and high-quality mobile Internet. Therefore, my review of mobile tariffs will make you even happier.

I have two SIM cards - Moscow and St. Petersburg. I recently monitored which operator is more profitable in these cities, considered MTS, Beeline, Megafon, Tele2 and Tinkoff Mobile. In the end, I found the most profitable mobile tariffs in Moscow and St. Petersburg. I think that my article will help you choose the most favorable tariff and save time while doing so.

I compared all operators by the two most important parameters: Number of minutes included and how many gigabytes of internet. And considered two options:

  1. The cheapest tariff plans cost about 300-400 rubles.
  2. Tariff plans cost about 600 rubles.

From this article you will find out how much mobile Internet and minutes for calls you can get for 350 and 600 rubles in St. Petersburg and Moscow.

What mobile operators do I use myself and why?

I have a Moscow sim card. In Moscow, I have been using Megafon for 10 years. For some reason, in Moscow, Megafon always has favorable rates and good quality connections.

I live in two cities and in St. Petersburg I have always had a Beeline SIM card. They almost always have the best rates here and good call quality. But unlike Megafon, Beeline does not have Internet between metro stations. If you need Internet in the metro, then Megafon is better in St. Petersburg.

Recently, I switched to Tinkoff Mobile. They work on the basis of TELE2 towers, they have interesting tariffs and a lot of all sorts of chips. For example, I like that you can change the phone number on a SIM card right in your account, as well as link another number for 49 rubles per month. I also like that interest is charged on the balance (6% per annum) if you have more than 1000 rubles in your account. See the table below for a comparison of their rates with other operators.

Mobile tariffs in St. Petersburg

On average, in St. Petersburg mobile connection cheaper than in Moscow.

The cheapest mobile data plans for 350 rubles

All tariff plans for 350 rubles offer a small package of local calls and mobile Internet.

As you can see from the table below, the most profitable mobile operator for cheap mobile tariffs is Tele2. For 350 rubles, you will get 400 minutes of calls to any local numbers and as much as 40 GB of Internet. Compared to other operators, this is a very generous offer!

The next interesting choice is Tinkoff Mobile. Not only does Tinkoff have the cheapest tariff (see the table below), but you can also call throughout Russia, and not just to local numbers like others. In fact, Tinkoff Mobile does not have tariff plans, but there is a tariff constructor with which you can create any tariff plan that suits you.

And if you order a Tinkoff Mobile SIM card using this link Tinkoff Mobile, then you will not only receive a month of service for free, you will also double the selected packages of minutes and gigabytes.

Mobile tariff plans for 600 rubles in St. Petersburg

This is where the tastiest things are. Here are the best and most interesting rates. In these tariffs, you get a package of minutes for calls throughout Russia and even unlimited mobile Internet at high speed.

The most favorable tariff with unlimited mobile Internet is offered by MTS. Megafon's unlimited tariff costs 50 rubles more, but they offer 100 minutes more than all calls throughout Russia. Beeline also has a tariff with unlimited internet, I even bought it today ("All in One 2"), but they have not yet posted information about it on their website.

Tinkoff Mobile looks weak compared to other operators in this line of tariff plans, but ... Its forte in that with the help of its constructor you can design any tariff plan that is beneficial for you. And if you order a Tinkoff Mobile SIM card using this link, then you will not only receive a month of service for free, you will also double the selected packages of minutes and gigabytes.

Mobile tariffs in Moscow

In Moscow, of course, mobile communications are more expensive than in other cities. There are no tariff plans for 350 rubles. The same tariffs as in St. Petersburg start from 400 rubles. Muscovites can afford it. And mobile operators do not seem to like low-income Muscovites, because some of them offer tariffs from the line of the cheapest in Moscow, not only more expensive than in St. Petersburg, but also many times worse. Compare with St. Petersburg tariffs ...

The cheapest mobile tariffs in Moscow

In Moscow, the most favorable tariff for 400 rubles is offered by Tele2. In second place is Tinkoff Mobile, but ... Using its tariff designer, you can create a tariff plan that is convenient for you, and by ordering a SIM card using this link, you will receive a free month of service and double the selected package of minutes and gigabytes.

The tariffs of all other operators are equally unfavorable.

Mobile tariffs for 650 rubles in Moscow

In Moscow, Megafon offers the most profitable tariff plan. For 650 rubles you will get unlimited mobile Internet and 700 minutes of calls to any numbers in Russia. This is very beneficial. It is even more profitable than the tariffs in St. Petersburg.

Summing up

Inexpensive mobile tariffs up to 350 rubles are not very profitable either in Moscow or St. Petersburg. Only Tele2 in St. Petersburg distinguished itself, which offers 400 minutes and 40 GB of Internet, which is quite profitable. Tele2 loves Peter) ...

But it is most profitable to take expensive mobile tariffs from 550 to 650 rubles, both in Moscow and in St. Petersburg. For this money you will receive unlimited mobile Internet and a package of calls to any numbers in Russia from 500 to 700 minutes.

There is almost always an opportunity to reduce the cost of mobile communications if you choose the right tariff. Considering that in our country it has long been possible to switch from one operator to another with the possibility of maintaining the same number, even the transition from operator to operator is not a problem. Not to mention the purchase of a new SIM card. The main thing is to carefully review the tariffs of operators and choose the most suitable one for yourself. The most favorable mobile tariff in Moscow in the summer of 2018, how to choose best rate.

What is the best cell phone plan

This is the main problem. It is not easy to give universal advice, since each subscriber requires something different.

Today, mobile operators in our country usually offer tariffs as packages that include a certain amount of services:

  • mobile communications (telephone calls),
  • sms messages,
  • internet traffic.

By paying a subscription fee, you pay in advance for the volume of services included in the tariff. If you require large quantity services, they are provided for a fee, which should also be taken into account.

Usually main question, which you must decide for yourself when choosing the most favorable mobile communication tariff - a matter of priority between the number of minutes for calls and Internet traffic. It happens that both services are equally needed.

It is also important to study the conditions for the provision of mobile communication services. Let's say you need to know how much an extra minute of calls will cost after using a monthly service package. Maybe a tariff with a lower monthly fee will be more expensive for you than a tariff with a higher one, if, according to the conditions, additional minutes are more expensive on a cheap tariff.

The most favorable cellular tariffs in Moscow for calls

If you constantly talk on the phone every day - with clients, partners, relatives - then you need to choose the best tariff for calls.

Naturally, first of all, you will need to estimate how many minutes per month you need. There are tariffs that offer 100-200 minutes per month, and there are those that offer the opportunity to pay for a monthly package of 5,000 minutes.

Well, if we select a tariff for calls and we need a package of up to 500 minutes per month inclusive (about 17 minutes of calls every day), then the rating of the most favorable mobile communication tariffs in Moscow in the summer of 2018 will look like this:

With the condition that if you have enough 200-500 minutes included in the presented tariffs, these tariffs will be the most favorable in Moscow for conversations in moderation.

If you need a package for 500-1000 minutes (approximately 33 minutes of calls every day), then the rating will be as follows:

If you need from 1000 minutes or more monthly, we recommend the following tariffs:

The most favorable tariffs of mobile operators in Moscow for the Internet

If you choose a SIM card for using mobile Internet, first of all, you should carefully review the conditions of all operators. Mobile operators do not like it if you use the mobile Internet in a way that they did not expect.

For example, if the tariff is designed for a smartphone, and you put a SIM card in a tablet, or wifi router, then the connection speed can be made impossibly slow for you.

Operators also do not like torrents, p2p networks, etc. When downloading / sharing files in torrent networks, you can also be disconnected from the mobile Internet or your connection speed can be drastically reduced.

All information about such restrictions is necessarily present in the terms of tariffs, including the websites of operators.

A number of telecom operators in Moscow present tariffs with an unlimited tariff, the offers of other operators contain packages of up to 20-30 GB per month. We have selected for the most advantageous offers from each operator:

Photo: pixabay.com

The most favorable universal mobile tariffs in Moscow in the summer of 2018

Finally, if the number of minutes of calls and gigabytes of Internet are equally important to you, we recommend these tariffs:

To choose the best and most favorable rate mobile operator, more often, you don't need to change your phone number. It is enough to familiarize yourself with the tariff parameters of your telecom operator and simply switch to a new one ... or stay on what you have. However, it doesn’t hurt to “refresh” the prices of your current TP either, because while you were busy with more important things for yourself, your operator could “correct” them a long time ago, and you were unlikely to receive SMS about deplorable changes. First you must remember or find out "what is my rate":

How to find out your rate:

  • MTS: *111*59# [call]
  • Beeline: *110*05# [call]
  • Megaphone:
    *105*2*0# [call] (Central Branch)
*225# [call] (Ural branch, section "Your tariff")
    *160# [call] (Volga branch)
    *105*1*3# [call] (Siberian branch)
    *105*1*1# [call] (Caucasian branch)

Or call the subscriber service of your telecom operator.

Analysis of current expenses

So, we will assume that you have already gone over the prices of the tariff plans of your own operator and the offers of competitors, and also did not forget to carefully read the small hard-to-read footnotes under them. How to be further? Next, you should familiarize yourself with your current expenses for at least the last three months. To do this, I recommend ordering monthly invoices and itemizing expenses for a specified period of time to your e-mail. This is done with the help of "personal accounts" available from each mobile operator:

  • MTS: Internet Assistant (also available through the "Personal Account")
  • Beeline: Service Management System
  • MegaFon: Service Guide
  • Sky Link: Skypoint
  • Matrix: MATRIX open

Having received the password to personal account» of our operator and having ordered the necessary documents, we carefully and scrupulously study them. Perhaps this will already be enough for you to understand the reason for the extra spending. For example, in the details, you can find some paid SMS subscriptions imposed on you or mysterious outgoing calls to short numbers(example). If so, knock everyone accessible ways in contact center of your operator, demand to disable subscriptions (for MTS subscribers, subscriptions are disabled independently through the My Subscriptions service) and return all the money to you. Sometimes it helps. If you have no problems with this, and your current tariff is really outdated and needs to be replaced, go to the next step.

Calculation of the average cost of a minute of conversation

This key moment our article. Many (if not most) subscribers simply do not know how to choose their own tariff, guided by data from unfair advertising or information on the packaging of the tariff itself.

Remember! It is important to know and analyze not the cost of a single call, but the average cost of a minute based on all calls, at least one, but preferably three months.

We take a monthly account and summarize the number of all outgoing minutes in it. Then we look at your spending figure and subtract from it the cost of all non-voice services, with the exception of services that reduce the cost of calls. If your subscription fee also includes packages of non-voice services (SMS, Internet), approximately (by eye) we deduct their cost from it, focusing on the average market price of such packages. Next, we divide the remaining costs for calls of a specific period by the number of outgoing minutes negotiated and get cost per minute.

Example:

Your bill for the month amounted to 200 rubles. Of these, 100 rubles. spent on calls, 30 rubles. - subscription fee for "favorite number" and 70 rubles. you spent on internet and messages. At the same time, 100 outgoing minutes were spoken. Total, 200 - 70 rubles. = 130 rubles. / 100 minutes = 1.3 rubles / minute.

Thus, we get a rough picture of the cost per minute based on one or more months. And it doesn’t matter that a single call on such and such a date cost you 30-40 rubles, but you could save on a dozen others, and in general your tariff is very profitable. The main thing is what this cost price of a minute is and how much it suits you. According to the current realities, I advise you to definitely look for a replacement tariff plan, if the cost of one minute at a relatively active communication it turns out over 1.5 rubles. It is expensive.

If, after such calculations, you realized that your tariff is too wasteful, and the waste has exceeded reasonable limits for several months, you should figure out which of the tariffs available for the transition is closest to your communication profile and then arm yourself with Excel. How this is done, I will tell you using the example of my own MTS tariff "Long Conversations" and try to calculate whether I should change it to TP "Red Energy".

Example:

So, I have doubts about the profitability of my TP "Long conversations", and I want to understand whether the "Red Energy" tariff will be cheaper for me. Based on the granularity analysis, I know that on average (mostly) I make local outgoing calls for 7 minutes, mostly to mobile phones. At the same time, I have an option enabled that reduces the cost of calls “Together is better”, which makes it possible to communicate within the MTS group at 7 kopecks per minute for a subscription fee of 45 rubles. per month. When switching to Red Energy this option persist, so I don't take it into account. I compare only the cost of all other local calls to mobile numbers on two tariffs with the average duration of calls that I have most often. In the table below, I calculated total cost conversation with calls lasting 5, 10 and 15 minutes to cellular networks and compared it with our two tariffs. Note that I deliberately did not compare the price of a 1-minute conversation, because according to statistics, such calls happen quite rarely and it is logical that occasionally overpaying the difference of 1.8 rubles. will be much less expensive than often overpaying much more significant amounts in long conversations. Screenshot of calculations in Excel:

So, from the table we clearly see that the price of any of the three calls on "Long Conversations" will be more profitable for me than on "Red Energy", moreover, even after MTS "Long Conversations" has spoiled it well. In this case, Red Energy will not be saved by per-second billing from the 2nd minute of a conversation against a minute on Long Conversations. The resulting cost of calls in the table above is highlighted in red. It is easy to understand that cost per minute on "Long Conversations" will be for me lower than at Red Energy. For example, with 5 minutes of communication, it will be 1.66 rubles, and with a 10-minute conversation - only 88 kopecks. And together with “Together is better”, I will get the cost of a minute even lower. Plus, sometimes you can connect for 10 rubles. per day " Unlimited Calls» within the network. Therefore, the rather high price of the first minute of conversation is 3.7 rubles. In this case, I shouldn't be put off.

Output: We do not change the tariff and remain on the “Long Conversations” for the time being.

Moral of the fable

This is my model for calculating the profitability of tariff offers. Its key is the cost of the average minute of your communication. It is worth relying on. Of course, there are many and different tariffs now, there are also a lot of communication profiles, and you should not forget about additional services. But, understanding the essence, I think you can calculate (of course, approximately) the profitability of almost any offer by comparing it with others.

If you are actively using additional services, such as SMS, mobile Internet or intercity, and in your monthly bill / detailing the costs for them exceed reasonable limits, I advise you to take a closer look at various tariffs with packages of the options you need already included in the monthly fee or a mandatory monthly payment and pre-calculate future costs for them according to similar scheme, comparing with the current ones.

Operators also have many packages, unlimited options and bonus programs, which will significantly reduce your total monthly bill, albeit for an additional subscription fee. Do not be afraid of the subscriber, sometimes it will only benefit you!

FROM unlimited tariffs(or pseudo-unlimited with limits of 2-3 thousand minutes per month) is even simpler. If you communicate a lot, it is enough to compare, whether the subscription fee for such a tariff will be lower than your current expenses or not. Plus, don't forget the extras. And everything will fall into place.

Remember, no one will pick up a good, profitable, cheap cellular communication rate better than you. And it's your money!
