Vertical mice for PC and laptop. Ergonomic mouse: description, characteristics, photo Ergonomic mouse

Many companies have long been trying to create a real ergonomic mouse. Many of these gadgets are already on sale, but as we understand, miracles do not happen. Ergonomics is a personal thing. After an hour of traveling through the expanses of the Internet, someone’s hand already hurts. And someone plays for hours every day and nothing, everything is in order. And there is no need to talk about the therapeutic effect of manipulators.

Company CSN also did not stay away from these trends and released a number of ergonomic mice. The most unusual DNS PRESTIGE 040GD ERGO Gray USB 1600 dpi and came to me for review.

If you see it for the first time on the counter, you won’t understand that it is a computer mouse, I was immediately asked: “What kind of snail is this?”. Indeed, the designers went the other way, instead of changing the shape of the mouse to fit the brush, they rotated the user's brush 90 degrees, thus obtaining the so-called "vertical mouse". At the same time, getting a more natural position of the hand on the manipulator: like on a joystick, or on the levers of equipment.

I will stop a little on the question: why is the usual form of a mouse so dangerous? When working with such a mouse for a long time, we risk getting wrist or tunnel syndrome. If the hand is parallel to the table, then our wrist bones turn out in an unnatural way, causing prolonged strain on the ligaments of the hand and elbow, which leads to pain, numbness and weakness.

According to the manufacturer, a vertical mouse will help to avoid this ailment and even cure if it already exists.

Thank God, I managed to avoid this over many years of practice, but this is most likely due to regular visits to the gym.

When buying, of course, an unusual shape can scare you away, especially since the price for it is high enough to just buy a try. Therefore, in my review I will try to describe in detail the sensations of working with this device.

Before writing, I, of course, went over the Internet and found this model, but manufactured under the Delux M618 brand. In Russia, these mice were not sold, enthusiasts purchased them via the Internet, and now they are available to everyone, just go to the DNS store.

Package

The device comes in an orange bright box with a large blister. You can try on the mouse in your hand without taking it out of the box.

In addition to the mouse itself, the box contained only a miniature user manual and two AAA batteries.

At first, not finding a USB receiver, I panicked a little, as it turned out in vain, it was inserted into the bottom of the mouse in a special recess.

The box has all the necessary information about the technical characteristics.

Appearance

Due to its peculiarity, the mouse is only suitable for the right hand. It is shaped like a cone. This cone is very comfortable in the hand, this is facilitated by rubberized inserts with ribs that prevent slipping of the hand.

The fingers rest on the desired buttons, there are only six of them, including the scroll wheel. Under the thumb are two buttons: in the browser, they provide a transition to the page back or forward.

On the top there is a button for switching between the resolution of the optical sensor, there are three of them: 800, 1200, 1600 dpi. There is no indication, the next resolution is simply sequentially switched on, which is not very informative.

There are pads on the bottom to improve sliding, not very slippery, so on a fabric rug they clung to the surface. The previously mentioned storage compartment for the USB receiver, the battery compartment and the power on/off button are also located here.

Well, separately it is worth mentioning such an unusual detail as a wrist rest. This stand makes the mouse orthopedic. You will have to move the mouse not with the usual movement of the brush from side to side, but by moving the entire brush, while the movement comes from the elbow, so it is desirable that it lies comfortably on the table. It is because of this that the accuracy of guidance suffers.

Of course, I tried to use the device without a stand, here the positioning accuracy undoubtedly increases, and we come to the ergonomics of a conventional mouse, only with a tilt, but the orthopedic effect practically disappears. But as an option, this method is suitable for games or work, for example, in graphic editors.

A more accurate idea of the shape of the mouse is given by photographs, rather than a written description.

In action.

There are no drivers or software for the mouse. I connected the receiver to the USB port and everything works.

Of course, the unusual shape requires a long habituation and relearning, on the fourth day I adapted to the new design. The hand lies quite comfortably, the hand does not strain, the operation of the buttons is convenient.

The problem with the difficulty of positioning is solved by detaching the wrist rest. Without it, I managed to play shooters quite comfortably and work in Photoshop. The only inconvenience - in the separation of the mouse from the surface of the table: it just slips out of your hands. If you try to grab harder, all the buttons are pressed.

Having worked with this mouse, I can conclude that this device is most suitable for those who spend a lot of time working at the computer. Be it office workers or Internet travelers. Here, the convenience in work is undeniable, no discomfort.

But for those who like to play, or work in graphic editors, it may not be suitable. But again, everything is individual, it is possible that it will be convenient for a gamer to play with such a mouse, I quite liked this process without a stand. And for working with graphics, I also have a graphics tablet.

As for the therapeutic effect, this obviously does not happen in a couple of days. I'm lending a mouse to a colleague who suffers from carpal tunnel syndrome but has to use a computer a lot for work. Then we will look at its capabilities, and then I will draw the appropriate conclusions.

For example, I give drawings made using this mouse, a regular mouse and using a graphics tablet. You can view and compare the accuracy of positioning and line of motion.

conclusions

It is not often possible to find a vertically oriented mouse on the Russian market. I'm glad that this model appeared in stores CSN. To a greater extent, it can please people suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome and those who work a lot at the computer.

And the unusual design can attract enthusiasts. It is the design that determines the high price of this model.

Advantages:

Comfortable hand position
Permission change
Laser sensor
No wires
Design
Quick installation

Flaws:

Material quality
Not accurate positioning
High price
Uncomfortable to carry over the table
No dpi switch indicator

Many users believe that it is not worth thinking about the choice of such “little things” as a computer mouse and keyboard: what you have is what you bought. The choice of these "little things" should be taken very seriously, since it is they who create a feeling of comfort or discomfort during prolonged work with a computer.

What is ergonomics?

What is "ergonomics"? It seems that the word is familiar to everyone, but it’s hard to remember exactly what it means right away. Let's try to figure it out and at the same time understand how to wisely approach the choice of modern input devices, such as a keyboard and mouse.

The very concept of "ergonomics" appeared at the beginning of the 20th century, when scientists began to think about the fact that everything that surrounds us should be not only aesthetic, high-quality, but also comfortable.

Many disciplines from anatomy to psychology formed the basis of this scientific direction. The main task of ergonomics to this day is to create such working conditions for a person that would contribute to maintaining health, increasing labor efficiency, reducing fatigue and maintaining a good mood throughout the working day.

After all, it's not a secret for anyone that a modern person can spend most of the working day at the computer. If we imagine that all this time a person experiences a feeling of discomfort when working, for example, with a computer mouse, then in the future this can lead to serious consequences for the user's health.

Traumatologists have been talking about "mouse problems" since the late 90s of the last century, but still not all PC users know that using an incorrectly selected mouse can cause malaise and poor health. Hands, wrists, forearms, shoulders - these are the main risk areas. The most well-known disease associated with the use of a mouse and keyboard is carpal tunnel syndrome, or it is also called carpal tunnel syndrome.

The main symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome are loss of sensation in the hand and the appearance of pain in the wrists and fingers. All this is a consequence of the constant static load on the same muscles, more monotonous movements when working with the mouse, excessive bending in the wrist.

So how to choose the right computer mouse so that it doesn’t “excruciatingly hurt” later?

Such different mice

Experts in the field of input device ergonomics research distinguish several main types of computer mouse cases: classic type, ergonomic and asymmetric. Each case type has both advantages and disadvantages, which we will dwell on in more detail.

Classic hull type

The classic type of hull, the most common today, has a rounded shape, symmetrical in the longitudinal direction and cross sections. The lateral edges may be rounded inward or be almost even.

Pros: with a static grip, the brush on the mouse is quite confident. In the process of work, the palm is fixed steadily, since the softly rounded body does not “push” the brush to the sides. The area of comfortable mouse movements practically does not change when the cursor is controlled. Neuromuscular tension is generally adequate to the work performed. A slight “creeping out” of the manipulator is noted only with almost complete relaxation of the hand.

Cons: after a fairly long time (several hours), discomfort may be felt at the base of the thumb. This is predictable and quite understandable - the case of a classic mouse, almost symmetrical on the left and right sides, does not take into account the structural features of the hands of both right-handers and left-handers.

Conclusion: "classic" allows you to relax the brush in the process of prolonged work. Practically not subject to "creeping out" of the mouse from the palm. It does not require adjusting the position of the manipulator under the palm and well preserves the area of comfortable movements of the “mouse”.

Ergonomic body type

Ergonomic type has a more complex design. Quite high and somewhat sloping to the base of the palm, sometimes somewhat asymmetrical in diameter. The sides are usually pointed at the base and somewhat rolled outward. With its shape, an ergonomic mouse accurately repeats the inner surface of the palm of the hand. This type of case is most often longitudinally symmetrical so that it can be used by both right-handed and left-handed people.

Pros: with a static grip, the hand is very comfortable. The hand seems to find its position on the manipulator by itself.

Cons: when moving the mouse on the working surface, additional efforts may be required to hold the manipulator in the palm of your hand: as soon as the hand relaxes a little, the mouse begins to “creep out” of the hand - a consequence of the shape of the body beveled to the base of the palm. With a change in the position of the mouse inside the palm, the area of comfortable movements of the manipulator begins to decrease.

Conclusion: a more interesting and outwardly more ergonomic shape of the mouse body, unfortunately, often turns out to be more inconvenient for long-term work with the mouse. However, if the hand constantly moves from the keyboard to the mouse and vice versa during operation, the ergonomic type of design is more advantageous.

The main difference between asymmetric cases is the presence of a protruding part on the side of the thumb. Otherwise, their appearance can combine the features of the classic and ergonomic types.

Pros: confident position of the hand with a static grip. Sufficiently wide zone of comfortable movements when working with the manipulator.

Cons: asymmetric models are not found in all manufacturers and, as a rule, are designed for right-handers.

Conclusion: cases that take into account the anatomical asymmetry of the hands are more convenient than symmetrical ones. Provide comfort during prolonged use of the mouse.

So, in order to choose a really comfortable computer mouse, you need to take into account three main parameters: the shape of the mouse, its size and the behavior of the manipulator during operation. But no matter how great the chosen mouse would be, if its size does not match the size of the brush, the user will not be able to work with it!

Size matters!

Modern manufacturers every year complicate the line of computer input devices: they release "rodents" with a higher resolution of the touch sensor, but in pursuit of further improvement in the technical characteristics of the product, they often forget about elementary convenience!

In order for the hand to sit comfortably on the mouse and the fingers to calmly and naturally reach the function buttons (regardless of whether they are 2 or 10), it is necessary to take into account the length of these fingers. Surely, even in your family, the largest palm can be two times different from the smallest. And they probably wear different gloves? Same story with mice.

Instead of a conclusion

Maxim Nikolaev, traumatologist, specialist in ergonomics of input devices

Many users believe that it is not worth thinking about the choice of such “little things” as a computer mouse and keyboard: what you have is what you bought. How often, when choosing a computer, we first of all pay attention to the frequency of the processor and the amount of RAM, forgetting that we will work, first of all, with a keyboard and mouse. The choice of these "little things" should be taken very seriously, since it is they who create a feeling of comfort or discomfort during prolonged work with a computer.

In addition to the above, here are the words of a specialist in the field of input device research, a traumatologist, Maxim Nikolaev:

“The overall dimensions of computer mice are of fundamental importance. No matter how great the chosen mouse is, if its size does not match the size of the brush, you will not be comfortable working with it. A small hand must work with a small mouse. And for a large hand, choose a model of a large size. In a word, the hand should be comfortable!

Kira

An excellent mouse, but you will have to relearn a little, especially on accurate hits, because other muscles are already working on positioning. Thank you for the fast and free shipping guys!

Wireless vertical mouse VerticalMouse4
Before use, the joint on the index finger was very sore due to the large number of clicks on a regular mouse. After getting used to this mouse (about 1 working day), the pain decreased and eventually stopped. A very comfortable mouse. For horizontal positioning, wrist movement is enough - the cursor moves in a straight line, not in an arc - you do not need to move your whole hand.

Vertical ergonomic mouse EM01 (wired)
I work a lot on the computer. I began to notice that the hand crunches in the fold and whines. After reading a lot of articles on the Internet, I realized that there is a solution - a vertical mouse. We have not seen such a curiosity in our stores. I found this copy on the Internet. The first 3 days I could not get used to it and did everything very slowly, I was already thinking of quitting this activity, but every day I managed more and more dexterously, in a week I would not exchange it for any other mouse. I'll tell you right away. the mouse is not suitable for fans of action-style computer games and for those who draw with the mouse. For everything else, it's perfect. The pain is gone, works on any surface. I recommend it to those who work a lot at the computer!

Valeria

I have been working in the office for a long time and began to notice that my hand is already getting tired of a regular computer mouse. I complained to the boss, and he, my dear, recommended vertical mice. I didn’t understand what it was at all, but I decided to look it up on the Internet. That's how I came across this website. I also want to note the courtesy of the staff, who explained everything to me and showed me. So I bought this mouse and have been using it for a week now. The comfort is great! The only negative is that it took 2 days to get used to it. But now I noticed that the hand has become much, much easier. Recomend for everybody!!!))

EZmouse Left-Handed Ergonomic Vertical Mouse (Wireless)
I myself am left-handed and it is quite difficult for me to find good computer mice. I've been to different stores and looked at different products - all to no avail. This store attracted my attention with a huge assortment and uniqueness of offers. Honestly, I immediately wanted to buy this mouse. I got used to it for about a week. It happened because I was not quite constantly at the computer. But now I just don't know how I managed without it before. Thanks to ergotronics for helping ordinary people achieve comfort!

For left-handers, it is very difficult to find a comfortable mouse. This model fit perfectly. Promotes natural hand position. I got used to it in just a couple of hours. And what is most interesting, my hand stopped hurting. I've been using this mouse for 3 months and it never let me down. Special thanks for the samples provided in the showroom

This Monday I will talk about a mouse that helps to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome. Go!

Under the cut - a medical educational program about the causes of carpal tunnel syndrome, how to avoid it, and of course, an overview of the vertical mouse.

About Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

As we know, carpal tunnel syndrome - it is also called CTS, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome (although those who translate this should be killed, this is even worse than alkaline. Carpal is just a brush), carpal tunnel syndrome, radiocarpal syndrome, in a common name RSI, Repetitive Strain Injury (chronic hand disease) is a lesion of nerve tissues (neuropathy) due to some unfavorable conditions. Strictly speaking, calling it a carpal tunnel syndrome is not entirely correct - carpal tunnel syndrome can manifest itself not only in the hand, while carpal tunnel syndrome, by definition, only in the wrist :)
Unfavorable conditions can be very different - usually it is the monotonous work of the brush or a long stay in unnatural positions. Accordingly, the risk group includes those people whose work or pastime involves prolonged wrist strain and / or prolonged work with a brush - forever alone, cyclists and bikers, assemblers, packers, musicians, artists, and of course, people working with a mouse and keyboard.

To make it clearer, look at the picture above. We are interested in the median and ulnar nerves - a bundle of nerves, the branches of which innervate most of the hand (shown in purple in the figure):

They are located next to a formation called the carpal tunnel:

This is a structure that holds the flexor tendons of the fingers relative to each other and the wrist - a tendon bag (in the figure - the blue part). It is located between several bones and ligaments - in the tunnel of the wrist joint.
What happens with a long bending of the joint, an uncomfortable position of the hands and a lot of monotonous movements?
Prolonged tension of the muscles of the hand leads to a deterioration in their blood supply, in violation of which destructive processes begin in the tendons and muscles. By themselves, they do not carry harm yet, the body knows what to do - the blood flow through the damaged area increases, which ensures normal nutrition and timely removal of decay products. When the harmful effects stop, the unpleasant sensations will pass by themselves.
But if we continue to work with the brush in the same way (there are not very many painful endings, and it is problematic to notice the onset of the disease), continuing to strain the muscles, and at the same time reducing the lumen of the tunnel by bending the brush, then we get swelling of the muscles and tendons - the fluid is not excreted properly way.
The developing edema presses on the median and ulnar nerves and adjacent vessels, causing hypoxia (lack of oxygen) and swelling of tissues and nerves. The nerve in this state cannot fully perform its functions, because of this, such unpleasant effects (paresthesias) arise as: decreased sensitivity, soreness, tingling in the fingers, weakness of the palm. The muscles of the hand and fingers, which are controlled by the nerve, gradually “relax” - the signals from the brain do not reach them completely, and they begin to atrophy. All this against the backdrop of pain that intensifies at night, and does not allow sleep.

Fearfully? Only with the help special, a vertical mouse, you can heal your hand... Just kidding, sorry. No, even the most expensive mouse will help you - the disease arises from several factors, which must be removed in a complex manner. In 90%, the simplest gymnastics performed regularly 10 minutes a day will remove all symptoms. You didn't miss a word regularly, truth? If the only thing you do for symptoms is to buy a mouse, that won't save you, unless it delays their aggravation.

The main idea of gymnastics is rest from harmful factors, but not from movement. Get up, walk around, wave your hands. Unclench-squeeze your hands, shake your brushes. Many problems come from monotonous movements - that's what you need to get rid of them by regularly making movements that are different from the usual ones. Everything is well described here.
I will tell you about getting rid of only one factor - the wrong position of the brush lying on the mouse.

Right or wrong?

Stand up, relax your arms, lower them down. What position did they take? The palms are turned inward, "toward yourself." Now, put your hand on the table without changing its position anywhere except the elbow. How does she lie? Elbow and edge of the brush on the table.
Now put it on the mouse. What happened? The hand turned relative to the elbow by almost 90 degrees. This position of the hand fits perfectly with the established paradigm of using a computer - left mouse button, right mouse button, middle mouse button, etc.

But it is not physiological - the muscles that provide inward rotation (pronators), arms and hands are constantly tense, and the arch supports (muscles that rotate "out"), on the contrary, are stretched. What constant muscle tension leads to, I already wrote - swelling, and then on the rise.

For example, a square pronator - a muscle that rotates the forearm inward, is most tense when the hand is in the wrong position. And it is located at the very carpal tunnel, respectively - its edema will first of all put pressure on the nerves and blood vessels, which will cause discomfort.

In the case of using a vertical mouse, the hand retains its “normal” position, in which there is no additional load on the supinators and pronators.

True, there are problems with the monotonous movements of the fingers - when pressing the keys and turning the wheel. Only a radical change in the principle of input will help you cope with this - a touchpad, a trackball (dlinyj is called to the thread, who will talk about his experience with trackballs), jerky hotkeys or a graphics tablet.

As usual, I wanted to write briefly about the syndrome, but it turned out that the details make up most of the text. Wrote, showed to a friend, he asked about something, I had to add. Showed the doctor - he corrected a couple of inaccuracies, said a lot of smart words, which had to be explained ... Okay. About the mouse.

About the mouse.

Package:

Extremely strange packaging, getting the mouse out of it is quite problematic. We will have to deal with Velcro, adhesive tape, a cunning mouse and wire attachment system, understand the mental anguish of a Chinese box developer, torn between convenience and beauty. In the fight against these problems, I completely forgot to show you the back of the box, here it is:

Finally, we got the mouse.

What catches your eye is a thin but long wire, even with a filter at the end:

Very soft, bends well, and does not interfere with the movements of the mouse. Nothing more remarkable. Let's get back to the mouse:

The key on the end is a DPI switch (from 800 to 2400), which allows you to adjust the speed of the mouse movement to your needs.

On the right side, there are two buttons (“left” and “right”, heh), and a standard wheel. It does not swing to the sides, however, this function is performed by two buttons on the reverse side:

They are located next to the notch for the thumb, and to be honest, a couple of times I unintentionally touched them. Apparently, it is not necessary to hang functions with an intractable action on them - deleting files, for example. I have them switching tabs in the browser.
The surface on which most of the palm rests is made of a rubber-like material, which is almost impossible to clean from dust particles and fabric fibers - they adhere remarkably to it even immediately after wiping. In fairness, I note that the rest of the pollution is washed off and erased from this surface quite normally. The rest is ordinary plastic, which has neither serious advantages nor critical disadvantages.

There is only a sensor on the bottom of the mouse:

Sliding legs are present in large quantities (6 pieces), and perform their function quite tolerably.

As the most attentive readers probably guessed, the “sole”, designed to take over the support of the brush, is detached. I am very comfortable with her, but suddenly.

Results of use

The first week was very unusual. So unusual that I have several times thought about switching back to classic mice. Although I was able to fully work in a couple of days, for a few more days, every time I took it in my hand, I had to make an effort in order to remember which button was which. But a week later I used it quite calmly, and after two - the classic mice seemed strange and very uncomfortable, to the point that I didn’t want to take them in my hand.
Here's what the mouse looks like in your hand:

I especially liked, oddly enough, playing various shooter toys with such a mouse - almost like a joystick.
Another feature that I noticed is that you have to move the mouse not with your hand, but with your whole hand, due to the fact that the wrist is less flexible with such a grip. I understand that this is more useful for the brush, but still, a little unusual.
The DPI button was very useful - after getting used to it, DPI can be increased, the brush will have to be moved less.
The good news is that my arm doesn't hurt. But she never got sick before.

Price

The mouse is ordered from BuySKU for $26.
Nearby in the catalog there is the same, but wireless, although its maximum DPI is lower - 1600. It costs a little more - $47. I doubted its convenience, so I bought a version with a wire, which I now regret - it would be somehow more convenient without wires.

A computer mouse is a necessary element of any computer. Nothing better and more versatile for management has not yet been invented. Now there are a lot of varieties of this manipulator. And, since the computer is an integral part of the work of many people, it is important to choose the right mouse for it. Because you will have to spend all your working time with her - more than six hours a day. Therefore, it must be convenient, functional and suitable for the user. But how to choose?

First, let's talk about technology. There are two types of mice on the market today:

  1. Optical or LED. More simple and cheaper, but not as functional. Wireless models last longer. Rarely has more than 1600 dpi.
  2. Laser. It does not have a backlight and consumes energy more actively. It holds the signal better and can have up to 12000 dpi, which provides greater accuracy in moving the cursor around the screen.

Both types of mice in most cases are unable to correctly recognize glossy, polished and glass surfaces. Therefore, they need a rug.

In working conditions, the technology of the mouse is important, but not the leading place. The main thing is that the manipulator should execute commands without fail, be convenient and comfortable during prolonged use. It is important that the mouse is efficient and has the appropriate features.

The best wired mice for the job

The simplest, cheapest and most affordable are office mice with a wire. They serve for a long time, break infrequently. The only problem is that sometimes the “tail” interferes with work and takes up the necessary space. Most controllers are released exactly wired and without additional bells and whistles. But there are some really unique ones too. We present the best models of wired computer mice for work.

5 Genius XScroll Optical Black USB

A popular classic for the office
Country: China
Average price: 359 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.2

Opens our top, perhaps the most common office mouse - XScroll Optical Black. This simple black left or right-handed model has a minimum sensor resolution of 400 units. In their reviews, buyers note high reliability and a pleasant shape, thanks to which the user forgets what he has in his hands.

4 CROWN CMXG-1100 BLAZE Black USB

Stylish solution, passive ventilation
Country: China
Average price: 470 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.4

Another office model that tries to appear playful. Teflon legs and a 2400 dpi sensor are more than enough for office work. The side buttons are a pleasure to work with while searching for information on the Internet and switch between tabs with their help.

The side surfaces are made of matte plastic, and the top is made of glossy, which gives rise to the problem of glare and reflection on the case. The lower part is made in a lattice style, like the side. This technology helps the mouse not to slip on the surface, it is comfortable to hold in the hand and additionally ventilate the space between the palm and the case, preventing the formation of moisture.

3Genius NetScroll 100

Best strength
Country: China
Average price: 350 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.5

Extremely simple and reliable budget mouse for work at home and in the office. Its shape is universal and it is equally well suited for both right-handers and left-handers. Its main advantage is considered to be high impact resistance and it is recommended to use it in places with high traffic - computer classes, stands, etc. The weight is only 95 grams, and the number of buttons is 3, all of which are non-programmable.

Supplied in plain packaging. Connects via standard USB 2.0. Supports all operating systems on Windows and Mac OS. All drivers are installed automatically. The sensor resolution is only 800 dpi, and the rodent itself is painted in a simple black and gray color scheme.

2 GAMDIAS HADES Extension

changeable form
Country: China
Average price: 1390 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.7

The manufacturer positions this device as a gaming device, but it can be used with equal success in professional activities. The sensor resolution is extremely high for its price range and is 8200 dpi. Of the 8 buttons, 7 are programmable, on which macros can be bound. The side panels are replaceable, which allows you to adjust the mouse to the shape of your hand, which is considered the main advantage of the model.

For any type of work, sensor resolution calibration is available - you can set from 400 to 8200 dpi. To program the buttons, you need to download a proprietary application called Hera. According to the standard, 6 profiles are available for various types of programs. Among the shortcomings, an extremely sensitive mouse wheel is noted, which causes fast scrolling of many pages.

1 A4Tech X-710MK Black

The best mouse for all tasks
Country: China
Average price: 1069 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.8

A truly legendary wired mouse deservedly takes first place in this section of our top. This optical LED model for the right hand has become a favorite of gamers and just office workers for its unpretentiousness, rich functionality and low price. Some models last 7 years or more. Of the main controls on the case, there are 2 additional keys, a double click and a button for switching operating modes. Of all 7 buttons, 6 pieces are programmable.

If we talk about the appearance, then it is minimalistic. The black color is diluted with the orange color of the double click, and there is an X7 sticker on the case itself. However, the X-710MK is sold by many stores to this day and has an endless number of colors, including themed ones. Thus, the buyer can find a model for his aesthetic tastes and enjoy driving for a long period of time.

The best wireless mice for the job

Not everyone likes long "mouse tails" lying around the table and taking up space. That's why battery powered wireless mice were invented. It is convenient and economical. The only drawback is that the controller will periodically have to be charged. What are the best wireless mice for office work and beyond?

5 Oklick 485MW Black-Red USB

Inexpensive manipulator
Country: China
Average price: 308 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.5

Inexpensive optical LED manipulator without frills. With only three buttons, the design of the mouse is extremely simplified, while making it comfortable. For games, it is not suitable - the functionality is small, but for routine work in the office or surfing at home on the Internet, that's it.

The symmetrical design is equally well suited for right-handers and left-handers. The declared working radius is up to 10 meters. In fact, 2-3 meters and the cursor stops being read normally, and the charge is consumed in 1-2 weeks. Frequent problems with operation.

4 Logitech M185

The most affordable model
Country: Switzerland
Average price: 1020 rubles
Rating (2019): 4.6

Inexpensive and reliable "rodent" for undemanding buyers. Stability and convenience come by default with the product. The signal does not lose, in the hand lies well in the hands of right-handers and left-handers. It has an average resolution of 1000 dpi for its segment. You won't be able to draw or work with graphics with it, but otherwise it does its job.

The autonomy is also pleasing - a year without changing the battery is not a joke, which greatly reduces the cost of purchasing power modules. Unstable on paper and glass.

3Xiaomi Mi Wireless Mouse

Best Budget Work Mouse
Country: China
Average price: 953 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.7

Pleasant appearance, stylish minimalism and stable operation - this is a short list of the advantages of a computer mouse from an eminent Chinese manufacturer. The work is done from a finger battery for about two to three weeks with intensive work. There are no slides or slips of the cursor during operation. On the back side there is a switch with a color indicator for convenience.

The lid is easy to remove and clean, while easily picking up fingerprints, dust and dirt. The USB module is installed inside the case, and before turning it on for the first time, it must be very carefully pulled out and inserted into the computer so as not to damage the signal module. On the side there is one additional key.

2 DELL WM514

Lightweight wireless mouse
The country: USA (made in China)
Average price: 1930 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.8

Laser six-button mouse with an unusual design. It lies comfortably in the hand, practically it is not felt in it due to the convenient shape and minimum weight (only 68 grams). A resolution of 1000 dpi allows you to work in most programs comfortably even on large monitors.

Advantages and disadvantages:

  • Low noise level. You can't call this mouse 100% silent, but its click is not as loud as other conventional models.
  • Successful body. The mouse not only looks stylish. It fits perfectly in almost any hand. From below, instead of standard legs, there is a frame, which makes the model even more stable on any surface.
  • Batteries are often included in the package.
  • The disadvantage is the unusual arrangement of additional buttons - one on each side of the mouse. Using the key under the little finger may not be very convenient.

1 Logitech M720 Triathlon

The best mouse for multiple PCs. Suitable for smartphones and tablets
Country: Switzerland
Average price: 4164 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.9

This LED mouse is the best to work with if the user has more than one computer. It is able to connect to three PCs or laptops via Bluetooth at once. The kit comes with a standard USB-receiver for radio connection. A nice addition is a comfortable shape for the right hand, which will reduce the load on the wrist.

The resolution is small for a mouse of this class - 1000 dpi. But it is enough for everything that you may need for work. The model has 8 buttons. Of these, one is responsible for switching computers (only three options), another one is for turning on the ultra-fast scrolling mode of the wheel.

Advantages and disadvantages:

  • Functional wheel. It has two additional modes of operation in addition to the standard "step by step" scrolling - horizontal and ultra-fast vertical scrolling.
  • Able to connect to anything that has Bluetooth. Only iOS devices are not supported, and everything else works flawlessly.
  • Most buttons can be programmed for any action. To do this, you need a special application Logitech Options.
  • The disadvantage (and for some, dignity) is too active power saving mode. Can turn off the mouse after a couple of tens of seconds of inactivity. To get started, you will have to click the button or move the mouse a little. The bonus of this behavior is saving batteries.

The best ergonomic mice for work

Hands get tired of ordinary mice very quickly. The standard controller forces the palm to be in an anatomically incorrect position for a long time. The result is carpal tunnel syndrome, pain, fatigue. And the solution to the problem will be special ergonomic mice. They allow the hands to maintain a more natural position. Unfortunately, the popularity of such unusual but useful "rodents" is low. We will show the two best models that are comfortable in long-term work.

5 COUGAR Surpassion Black USB

High resolution sensor
Country: China
Average price: 2185 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.4

Wired computer mouse from Cougar is liked by gamers and ordinary buyers primarily because of its technical characteristics. The sensor resolution of 7200 dpi is simply fantastic, and all this is complemented by an ascetic design, which is complemented by a backlight that can be customized to your taste.

Designed specifically for right-handed people and has the appropriate forms. 6 keys, additional buttons are used to increase and decrease the resolution. The mouse can be programmed independently, using special software.

4 Razer Atheris Black USB

Expensive branded mouse for all connoisseurs
The country: USA (made in China)
Average price: 5330 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.5

Expensive and proprietary mouse for work and play from Razer. It can rightfully be considered the best mouse for work, but the price bites a lot. Otherwise, it's a great device that fits comfortably in the hand with a weight of 66 grams. It can be connected both via Bluetooth channel and via dongle via USB.

Of the 6 buttons, 5 are programmable and they are all configurable. The driver is installed automatically after connection, disks and other media are not needed. The downside is the "heavy" software with a volume of 210 megabytes for calibrating the device. You will also have to break your head when installing batteries. There is no backlight, and the clicks themselves are too loud even for Razer.

3 Gembird MUSW-315 Black USB

The smallest weight at 66 grams
Country: China
Average price: 305 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.6

Lightness, lightness and more lightness. Weighing just 66 grams, this mouse is one of the lightest on the market. This can be considered a plus and a minus, since the buyer simultaneously receives ease of control and an instant fall from the table if accidentally touched.

Batteries will last for 3-4 months with 9-10 hours of daily use. Sensor resolution of 1000 dpi is average. There are only 3 buttons, but you don't need more. The package includes AA batteries for the first months of use.

2 Logitech M570

Excellent ergonomics. trackball
Country: Switzerland
Average price: 6190 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.7

This mouse is one of the most unusually shaped controllers in the world and more closely resembles the trackball that it essentially is. This did not affect the ergonomics in any way, and it feels great in the human wrist. All the main load at the same time falls on the joints. Management is carried out by a ball-manipulator. There are 2 angles for hand position and both are comfortable. In total, there are 8 keys on the case and all of them are programmable. There is a hardware mode for increasing sensitivity and response.

1 Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse

The best price in the category
Country: USA
Average price: 2969 rubles.
Rating (2019): 4.9

Wireless optical mouse ideal for Windows. The model can be called really ergonomic. She fits comfortably in the hand, forcing her to be not down with her palm to the table, but, as it were, diagonally. Thumb notch allows you to hold the mouse with maximum comfort. The standard resolution is 1000 dpi, which is quite enough for work. There are additional buttons - "Back" and "Start".

  • There is a horizontal scroll bar and an extra start button which is perfect for Windows users. If it is not needed, it can be reprogrammed through a utility like X-Mouse Button Control for any action.
  • The sensor is able to recognize almost any surface, except for glass. But the mouse works best on a mousepad.
  • The disadvantage is that it will take a long time to get used to this shape of the mouse. There is no pinky rest, so textured rugs can get rubbing blisters. But in the future, its use will unload the wrist and exclude its "computer" diseases.

The best silent mice for work

Constant clicking with the mouse can be very annoying. Therefore, for work it is worth choosing a mouse that does not make sounds at all. It will be convenient for both the user and the people around him. Silent mice can be anything. But such mice, like ergonomic ones, cannot be called popular. There are very few of them on the domestic market. Consider the five best models for "quiet" work.
