Excel allows users to make many separate sheets in a workbook, which is quite a handy feature, as it is possible to work with different documents in one file that can be linked together. This option allows you to decide various tasks, but when working with sheets, it may happen that they disappear or disappear from the status bar at the bottom. Consider options for how you can return them back.

You can go to one or another sheet by clicking on one of the labels with the names of the sheets above the status bar. What are your options for missing them?

First, let's look at the reasons for their loss:

1. Disabled panel with navigation shortcuts.
2. The horizontal scroll bar overlaps them.
3. Shortcuts are hidden by the user or by default.
4. Labels have been removed.

The first solution to the problem. Enable the shortcut bar

The display of navigation bar shortcuts can be disabled in the settings by the user. This option can only be active for the current Excel document, and if you open another document, the shortcut bar will be visible again. Let's consider how to enable the display of shortcuts if it was disabled in the program settings.

1) Click on the "File" tab

2) A list will appear, in it we click on "Options".

3) A new window will appear. In it you need to open the "Advanced" tab.

5) The result of these manipulations will be the display of labels with the name of the sheets.

The second solution to the problem. Scrollbar offset in document

Often the problem may be that the scrollbar is placed on top of the labels with the name of the sheets.

To fix this, the user needs to move the cursor to the left side of the scroll bar so that the cursor icon looks like an arrow with right-left directions. After that, you need to hold LMB and move to the right until all the elements of the panel are visible. After the action is done, we look carefully so that the scrollbar is of a normal size for comfortable work.

The result of these actions will be the display of labels with the name of the sheets.

The third solution to the problem. Enable showing sheets that are hidden

When working in Excel sheets, which are not needed for work, you can hide. But if the sheet is needed for work, its display can be turned on again.
To do this, you need to right-click on the sheet with which you do not need to work yet and click on "Hide". And then the sheet display will be turned off.

How to now display sheets that have been disabled:

First, right-click on any sheet, after which a menu will appear. And if this or that sheet was hidden, then the item "Show" will be in the list. You need to click on it.

After that, a window will appear and a list of sheets whose display can be turned on. Select the desired sheet and confirm the action.

The result will be a successful display of the sheet in the list of labels.

The fourth solution to the problem. Recovery of sheets that are hidden VBA macros(super hidden sheets)

If the above solutions did not help, this means that the user has hidden the display of sheets through the VBA editor.

To solve you need:

1) At the top, click on "File" and in the list click on "Options".

2) Next, a new window with settings will appear and open the ribbon settings in the list and look for the "Developer" item on the right side. Put a check mark next to it. Next, open the function on the left that allows you to go to the security management section Excel programs.

3) In a new window, open the parameters in order to make changes.

4) Open an item in the new menu that allows you to change the parameters of the program's macros. And in the options panel, click next to the enable ALL macros function. Also check the box next to the "Trust access" function and confirm all actions.

5) In the program parameters window, we also confirm the actions.

7) In a new window Visual Basic you can see the window with macros. We pay attention to the tabs Project, Properties. If they are not there, then activate them by successively pressing the Ctrl + R keys and the projects tab will appear, then press F4 and the properties tab will appear.

How to get the taskbar back? Most main tool Windows is the Taskbar. Without it, many functions of Windows will simply be impossible. Knowing the keyboard shortcuts, you can do without it, but not everyone is capable of this. If the Taskbar is not pinned, then you will not even notice how it can be at the top or side of the Desktop. One absolutely does not care where it is, while others are simply pissed off. If the monitor screen is large enough, then such a movement of the Taskbar is sometimes even convenient, and if it closes some necessary buttons or links, then it is better to return it to its place. This is what we will do now.

Initially, the Taskbar is located at the very bottom of the Desktop. It can be fixed or floating. It all depends on how you set it up. I like the floating bar better. It only appears when I move the mouse cursor to the very bottom of the screen, and the rest of the time it is not visible.

If you have the Taskbar at the top, right or left, then check if it is pinned to a new location. To do this, right-click on the free space on the Taskbar and the drop-down menu, uncheck the entry Pin the taskbar.

Now left-click on an empty space of this Panel, and without releasing the button, move the cursor to the very bottom of the desktop. Now you can release the mouse button, and your panel is back in its rightful place.

To prevent the Taskbar from disappearing and moving without your knowledge, again right-click on the free space and in the drop-down menu check the box Pin the taskbar.

I had a status bar in Word 2007. Comfortable. Located at the bottom of the screen. Shows the number of pages in the document, number current page document, document scale and more whole line document parameters (Fig. 1, click on the image to enlarge):

It, the status bar, can even be customized. To do this, in the free space of the status bar, you need to right-click and it will appear context menu(Fig. 2). We put or uncheck the box next to the parameter of interest and thus the status bar settings in Word 2007 are performed.

Rice. 2 Customizing the status bar in Word 2007

And suddenly - there is no status bar. Like a cow licked her tongue. What happened? What happened? Where and what did you click on? Unclear.

I'm trying to restore. I save the document with which I worked. I close Word. I start Word again, open the document. The status bar, alas, did not appear.

I'm going through all sorts of Word 2007 settings. For example, I'm looking in the top menu for "View", but there's nothing about the status bar. When she was in her place, I somehow did not notice her. And this useful line is gone...

Let's try to check the simplest option.

Word Status Bar Closed by Taskbar

If in Windows 7 or in Windows 8.1 the Word status bar peeps through the taskbar or does not even peep through, in any case, let's try a simple option first.

1) You need to unpin the Taskbar, more details. Then you should move the taskbar to the left or right on the screen. Then everything will be visible at the bottom of the screen, including, perhaps, the Word status bar will be visible. If you can't see it, then it really doesn't exist.

2) There are 3 buttons in the upper right corner of the Word window:

Rice. 3 Buttons in the upper right corner in the Word window

It is necessary to click on the “Minimize to Window” button (2 in Fig. 3) so that the Word window has a border.

3) Then you need to move the mouse cursor to the border of the Word window and raise the window up to reduce it from below.

4) Return the Taskbar down, pin it.

5) In the upper right corner of Word, click on button 2 in fig. 3 and expand the window to full screen. Verify visually that the Word status bar is now visible and in place.

If this option does not fit, move on to a more complex option.

Word distribution

A more serious option is a distribution kit ( installation program) Word 2007 as part of the MS Office 2007 distribution. I insert the disk with the MS Office 2007 distribution. I find the Word 2007 distribution on it. The first desire is to completely remove Word 2007 from the computer, and then reinstall it from the distribution.

But then I decide to try to install Word 2007 over the installed program without removing it from the list installed programs. Because if the installation on top of the working one fails software, then I can always delete old program and then reinstall it.

So I run the program Word installation 2007. Double-clicking with the left mouse button on the corresponding icon in the window on the disk and ... In less than 1 second, the Word 2007 installation window appears, in which I manage to read the inscription "Word 2007 settings are being configured." I didn't even have time to show it clearly. Then the window disappears and nothing else happens. Nothing happens at all.

Then I decide to start Word 2007 again. And I see the long-awaited status bar in the usual place. Here, as it turns out, everything is simple! The developers of Word 2007 have thought of everything. And even this unusual situation of the disappearance of the status bar.

But it's still not clear to me how, out of all the variety of Word 2007 settings, they decided that I needed to restore the status bar. At least a question was asked during the restoration of parameters, for example, what setting do you need. Probably, in this case, everything is done "". That is, the developers of Word 2007 themselves made a decision about what exactly the user needs, without asking him "unnecessary" questions. A trifle, but nice! Less than a second, and everything again works in the usual way.

In vain they scold Microsoft for allegedly poor quality software products and weak user orientation. Remarkable quality and the best consumer orientation - the user has not said anything yet, but they have already done everything and, most importantly, they have done exactly what the user needs.
