Hola is one of the best VPN servers, which allows you to access blocked sites. The application is installed in the browser as an add-on. Free anonymizer allows you to download video content from blocked sites. Users using Yandex browser will be satisfied.

ISPs block access to sites in a specific region. To avoid blocking, it is enough to change your real IP address using a proxy server. After that, access to the resource will be opened.

Key features

  • Speed up website loading;
  • Gaining access to sites blocked by the provider;
  • Safe surfing;
  • Anonymity in the network;
  • High speed proxy;
  • Data caching;
  • Ability to encrypt traffic;
  • Compatible with multiple browsers.

Advantages

Many users use Yandex browser to surf. That is why the developers have tried to install the Hola plugin on this Internet browser. The add-on has several benefits. The main advantage is the anonymity of the network. A similar Hola feature for Yandex browser allows users to hide their location. In addition, it becomes possible to visit Internet resources blocked by the provider.

Another significant advantage is fast loading pages. Many plugins, passing through the content, slow down the browser. As for Hola, the extension not only does not interfere with page loading, but, on the contrary, increases speed.

Many users note such dignity as a Russian-language addition. Thanks to the support of the Russian language, even for beginners it will be easy to figure out the plugin settings.

Flaws

The Hola extension installed on Yandex browser has several drawbacks, but they are all significant. First of all, it should be noted that the add-on has serious vulnerabilities. Attackers can take advantage of "holes" to get sensitive user data. Of course, only a professional can do this, but the possibility of hacking still exists.

The second disadvantage is that Hola is a "peer-to-peer" VPN network. At first glance, it might seem that there is nothing to worry about. In fact, everything is more serious. Users using the extension become part of one big network. If any user downloads prohibited files or videos, traces will remain on the computer, and it will be difficult to prove that someone else did it.

How to download

You can download the extension from the extension store. To do this, open the menu, and then select the "Add-ons" section.

When the page opens installed add-ons, you need to scroll the page to the very end. After that, you need to click on the hyperlink "Catalog of extensions for Yandex browser".

In a moment, the catalog of available extensions will load, you need to write “Hola” in the search bar.

After clicking on the search button, the page will display the result. You will need to click on the extension "Hola better internet".

When the page with the description opens, the user will only have to click on the graphic link "Add a browser to Yandex".

How the extension works

Installing the plugin takes about 2 minutes. When everything is installed, you need to click on the plugin icon. In the window that opens, select any country of interest. After a few seconds, the location and IP address will change. You can verify this by visiting any site that allows you to find out your address.

I myself live in Ukraine, therefore, many sites and services are not available to me. Therefore, I use VPN, which saves me every time. Initially, I was looking good app, but never found it. Once I got to Hola, an extension that I downloaded for the Chrome browser. In principle, a good site, but it takes a long time to load the work on the regular Internet. If the Wi-Fi is still good, then the Internet does not fly. The main advantage is that it is absolutely free and you can use it as much as your heart desires. So you can use it, I recommend.

Hola is a very specific vpn. Unlike classic services, where traffic is redirected through the servers of provider companies, devices of other users are used here. That is, all people who have installed the application (or browser extension) join the network and, in fact, exchange IP addresses and drive traffic through each other.
I didn’t notice any advantages over regular VPNs, but there is a minus - I can’t know exactly who and what will search the Internet from my data. Accordingly, if desired, they can then “press” me. So the use of Hola is a certain risk, although someone claims otherwise. But for now, though, it's all right.
From the pros:
1. VPN is free. In fact, I used this criterion when choosing. It works fine, it copes with all the tasks of the vpn service, and I don’t have to pay anything.
2. Practically does not use the computing resources of the device. That is, no matter what I'm sitting on - vpn from the phone or vpn from the browser - neither the operating system is loaded again, nor the Internet is overloaded. The speed, however, is slightly reduced, but this is normal.
3. Gives access to sites blocked in Russia. Here, no matter what content, I usually take access to the casino. Everything is working smoothly. Access from another country is simulated, where local providers have not blocked the resource, so the transition to the site is feasible. In principle, vpn works, despite the specificity, but I'm still on my guard.

I use Hola VPN for Chrome. The extension works adequately, there have never been any problems with it. Downloading and installing is easier and faster from the official Hola website, because I couldn’t find the service at all in the Chrome Web Store (with Google, the official website comes first when requested). The system, by the way, itself determines which browser is currently being used, and installs the extension specifically for it.
There are 2 options for the service - paid and free. The 1st cost at the time of download 5 dollars a month. The free option makes the user part of a network in which participants exchange traffic. The only drawback of this tariff is that the computer "becomes available" to another user, which creates certain threats. But no matter how much I used it, everything was OK.
In terms of usability, I really like Hola VPN. It is enough to click on the extension icon in the corner of the browser, and all the functionality is available in the pop-up window. Here, the TOP sites that users visit are immediately given (for example, my favorite lostfilm). There is also a search box in which we enter the site and select the country of access. By default, 2 options are offered: Russia and the USA (1st - as the user's country, 2nd - as the most frequently used). Nearby there is a button "More" - there is a choice of any other available country (Great Britain, Austria, Australia, etc.). You can switch between them freely and without restrictions.
The only thing is that some addresses may not work well, in which case there is nothing you can do except choose another one. But usually access from the US is good. Visited sites are added to a separate list, with its help you can then safely go to the right resource automatically via VPN without re-entering the address and manipulating the country selection. You can also delete a page from there at any time.

The vpn itself is normal, the extension works fine in the browser, but it’s impossible to use it through the phone, because. works with errors. For example, it constantly crashes, does not start again, so you have to restart your smartphone to make it work. Also, small shoals periodically pop up, for example, when the application is on, I can’t go to VK, because. writes that there is no connection to the Internet. Although in reality there is either wi-fi or mobile Internet. In short, it is better not to use the application from the phone. Moreover, it does not depend on the device itself, because yuzal 2 different smartphone(both on android, only different versions), there is one picture everywhere.
With the browser and the extension everything is ok. I put it on chrome, without jambs and malfunctions. It almost does not affect the speed - films for 1,080 rubles go without long downloads, as usual. In the list of countries, you can access from a bunch of countries in Europe and Asia. I myself usually sit through the states, where access to almost everything is not limited. Geo-blocked content opens quietly. In general, the program works perfectly through the computer, I'm waiting for the application to be finished.

With the help of this VPN service, I can easily bypass the blocking of Ukrainian providers. There is access to everything - social networks, Yandex and Mail.ru services. In the list of countries, you can select Russia, but I often sit from other European countries. There were no problems with installation and configuration. I have been using both the application and the addon for the browser for a year. Everything works just fine.
Cons from the fact that the p2p principle of operation was not noticed at all. This does not affect the speed in any way, even sometimes pages load faster. And at the same time, everything is completely free, and unlike other VPN services, there is no limit on traffic, some pages or time of use. I don’t see the point of buying Premium, and everything works fine.

Hola for Google Chrome- an extension installed in the Google Chrome web browser. Thanks to the plugin, users can visit blocked Internet resources without any problems. The add-on does not need to be run as a standalone application.

The Hola extension integrates into the browser control panel. The user just needs to click on the add-on icon, after which all that remains is to select a country. The developers have tried to do everything so that the plugin allows users to fully enjoy surfing the Internet.

Key features

  • Spoofing the real IP address;
  • The ability to visit even blocked websites;
  • Accelerating the loading of Internet resources;
  • Support for the Russian-language interface;
  • Quick settings;
  • Free.

Advantages

Any applications, utilities and extensions have some advantages over analogues. The same goes for Chrome extensions. First of all, it should be noted that the extension being installed allows you to visit even Internet resources blocked by the provider. In addition, the location of the user does not matter.

simple and user-friendly interface. The user only needs to click on the icon located next to the search bar, and then select a country from the list provided. If necessary, the extension can be disabled or removed.

Another important advantage is that the add-on is free. It is enough to download the plugin from the Google store, and then integrate it into the browser.

Flaws

In fact, the supplement has few shortcomings, but they are serious. The developers have overlooked some of the "holes" that affect the security of the browser and the system as a whole. If desired, attackers can use this to get hold of confidential data.

The fact that the VPN works on the P2P principle can also be attributed to a serious drawback. The Hola computer becomes a node on the same chain. Downloading files or visiting pages may leave traces on a third-party computer.

Installing an extension

To install Hola for Chrome browser, users need to visit the Google store. First, open the menu located in the upper right corner. When the submenu opens, you will need to select the “Settings” item.

When the settings page opens, go to the "Extensions" section. This will launch the page with the add-ons installed.

The next step is to go down to the footer of the page. Then you should click on the link "More extensions".

In a moment, the Google Store will open. The user only needs to enter the name of the plugin in the search bar, namely “Hola”.

After downloading the search results, you must select a VPN. The extension will be at the very top of the list. It remains only to click on the "Install" button.

Installation takes less than 1 minute. When the integration process is completed, you can start using the plugin.

After the user manages to download Hola for Chrome, an icon in the form of a smiling emoticon will appear next to the search bar. In the menu that opens, select a country.

After a few seconds, the settings will be applied and sites loaded through the browser will see the new IP address. You can verify this by visiting "https://2ip.ru/". If you wish, you can use another resource.

Conclusion

With the release of the copyright law, many interesting websites were blocked. Users cannot watch movies or download various files. To bypass the blocking, it is enough to use the Hola plugin, which is installed for Google Chrome.

In addition to changing the IP address, the extension allows websites to load significantly faster. In addition, you can quickly download any files. This is possible due to data compression. When the VPN is no longer needed, you can turn it off or remove it completely.

Video review of Hola for Google Chrome

Holla is a VPN plugin that works on all popular platforms without exception, even specific devices support it: Smart TV, game consoles, Apple TV. The Hola extension for Yandex browser is distinguished by free distribution, high page loading speed and stable operation, according to the specified parameters, the plugin surpasses other VPN services. In the free mode, the addon supports watching videos without network sagging in FullHD quality, and many users also stream on foreign services via Hola.

VPN technology allows you to hide your own IP address using an intermediary server. Before accessing the target site, the user's traffic is initially directed to the server provided by the extension. Thus, when using an anonymizer, we will be able to hide on the network, remaining incognito.

There are many reasons why to use Hola VPN for Yandex Explorer:

  • The ability to access any sites around the world, even if they are blocked by a corporate network or provider;
  • Increasing the speed of loading pages and all media files;
  • High level of security on the Internet;
  • Convenient surfing;
  • Full security of all data;
  • Maximum freedom of action and circumvention of censorship;
  • Hiding your own IP address;
  • The ability to stream or watch videos on foreign resources, even on closed sites.

Already today, Holla has won the trust of 154 million users in all countries of the world. The Hola plugin for Yandex browser is a unique VPN service, it is very different from other extensions in its functionality, a large selection of countries and the principle of operation. The application is installed in all popular browsers and platforms: Android, Windows, iOS, Mac OS.

Differences between Hall VPN for Yandex browser and analogues

Advantages

  • Distributed for free. Despite the presence of a premium version of the addon, free option sufficient for most users. There are no restrictions on the amount of traffic, time or speed;
  • Increased page loading speed. To speed up surfing, the developers have installed content compression on the server. As a result, the weight of the files is reduced, while there is no additional load on the user's computer. The second reason for the high speed is information caching, so the data is not loaded from the site server, but from the local machine of another user or Halla's server. Works only for popular sites;
  • Includes many servers around the world;
  • Maximum privacy. The plugin uses a data encryption method, even if packets are intercepted by an attacker, the information will be resistant to hacking;
  • The Hola VPN extension for Yandex browser does not use logging. All user actions cannot be reproduced from system logs, this increases the level of confidentiality;
  • Russian-language interface. You won’t have to make any special settings, but it’s still better to use the plugin in your native language;
  • The extension changes the country for each tab (as needed). This is convenient for people who use different foreign sites, for example, some from the CIS, others from Europe;
  • Works with all browsers and operating systems.

Flaws

  • "Peer-to-peer" network - this means that all computers that have installed extensions become members of a single network. Not so long ago, the Hola FMS network for Yandex browser was subjected to a major scandal in which developers were accused of selling traffic for DDOS attacks. Serious proceedings were avoided, but users still, to one degree or another, provide access to their network to other participants in the system. On practice similar system provides fast page loading, cheap plugin maintenance. To be clear, the network is similar to the way Torrent works. Certain risks exist, but they are minimal and forced;
  • Hackers claim that Holla has low hack resistance. Serious vulnerabilities are gradually being closed, but there have already been cases of hacking the network and gaining access to a huge number of computers. Without knowing it, we can become participants in a DDOS attack. This will negatively affect the quality of surfing: the speed will greatly decrease and you will constantly have to enter captchas from robots.

Realistically, the Hola app for Yandex browser is a very good VPN addon. The risk of hacking is inherent in all, even the most stable networks, and a "peer-to-peer" network brings more advantages than disadvantages.

Installing the Hall plugin in Yandex browser

The installation principle is no different from other extensions:

This completes the Hola plugin installation, you can start using it.

Using the Hola Plugin

When accessing the desired resources, the Hall proxy will independently determine the appropriate country to unlock the resource. A smart algorithm for gaining access is not only convenient, but also effective. Based on user statistics, the best server is selected to open the site. The program sometimes crashes, then the website does not load, you have to manually change the settings.

How to go to the site:

How to change server to public variant from another country:

There is no need to change the country each time to go to a specific site, setting the country for the site once, in the future it will be opened through the server of the previously selected country. All visited sites are stored in the "Recently visited sites" section.

How to get to the "Recently visited sites" section:

Performance Tests

In any case, a VPN slows down access to the site somewhat, the only question is how much the surfing speed is reduced. This is a key indicator of plugin performance and quality. Let's do a little test with the 3 most popular countries on the speedtest.net service.

My result without VPN looks like this: ping - 2ms, download speed - 52.87 Mbps, upload - 47.62 Mbps.

Now let's see the results with VPN Hola enabled in Yandex browser:

Based on test results best speed discovered in the UK. When choosing a country, we recommend using popular options with a nearby location. Good results in Great Britain, Germany, taking into account the distance to America, the United States also has good results. Less popular areas are somewhat neglected by developers.

The test is not a guarantee that by including Germany, Hall will issue top scores. In each case, the statistics may differ.

Additional information about the plugin

The extension is useful due to the presence of additional useful features, which distinguish it from other proxies and VPNs.

Also may be useful:

To disable the extension, just press the shutdown button.

An alternative option is to click on the flag of the country and select "Back to Russia" or another country in which we are.

If you want to remove the Hola plugin, this can be done in a simple way:

Surfing with the Free VPN Hola extension for Yandex browser helps to maintain anonymity, high data download speed and gain access to any services, regardless of the blocking.
