How to remove the inscription update the channel list. Tricolor TV module update

When you are just installing satellite equipment, all settings in the receiver are made by a specialist. However, after a while they may go astray, or you yourself will want to add a new one to the list of TV channels and reconnect to the service. You can easily cope with this task yourself.

To connect the receiver, press the red button on the control panel at the top. On the front panel (if you have not forgotten to turn on the set-top box), the channel number will be visible. In the case when the time is indicated on the panel, it means that the device is in standby mode. A blinking LED on the GS-8306 units indicates that the receiver is inactive. The indicator is lit at the top - the HDMI output is active, at the bottom - AV. To switch the output, click on "Input. signal". This will take up to 15 seconds.

To connect a TV, connect the TV to the turned off receiver via Tulip-AV, Scart-EXT or HDMI. Turn on the receiver. Now on the remote select the desired input, and then "Menu". If everything is done correctly, the settings will appear on the display. Select Exit. If you didn’t manage to exit the menu, look again to see if you connected everything correctly. In 90% of cases, the error lies in the wrong connection of the TV or receiver to another input.

Updating and sorting the channel list

How to independently update the list of Tricolor TV channels? You must press the "Menu" on the remote control and select "Search" in the pop-up window, and then OK. Now the device will prompt you to look for updates. Using the left arrow, press "yes" and then OK. The list of Tricolor TV channels will be generated automatically, you only need to save them. To do this, confirm the request with OK on the display.

To switch, use the up and down arrows on the remote control. Thus, the channels will go in the order fixed earlier. By pressing OK, you will see a complete list on the TV screen and you can select the desired program by moving through the list with the arrows.

To sort the channels, press OK, and then, when the list appears on the screen, press the green button. You will see the alphabet on the display. Select the desired letter in it and click OK. After that, the display will show a list of channels, the name of which begins with this letter. You can exit the list using the Exit button.

Empty list

It often happens that the subscriber turns on the television, and there ... the list of channels is empty. What to do in this case? First of all, don't panic. Then enter the receiver menu, select "Settings" and "Search". If you have a GS-8302 or higher device, you must also enter the menu, and then find "Channels" / "Update List". If after that the receiver does not search for channels, then the antenna / cable does not work. Work disruptions can cause:

  • melted snow;
  • icing;
  • Hurricane;
  • Antenna not securely mounted, such as on a wooden wall, etc.

In any case, contact the master.

Encoded image

If the Tricolor programs cannot be viewed due to coding, this means that satellite commands are expected to be received for decoding. With a working antenna and a paid receiver, the procedure will take no more than half an hour. Leave the TV on any channel that is not available for viewing and wait. This often happens after the set-top box has been turned off for a long time.

Since 2013, Tricolor TV satellite television, which is very popular throughout Russia, has broadcast new software.

To do this, the developers have released modern receiving equipment.

By improving the GS8304 model, the operation of the receiving equipment has improved and, of course, the quality of watching TV channels in HD format has improved. Thanks to the new developed and improved functions, the specialists managed to attract a huge audience of subscribers from different regions of Russia.

Now, residents of Russia can update TV channels using the installed module. Before proceeding with the process, the software version must first be recorded. To do this, you need to go to the menu section on the main page and select the following “Conditional Access”. Then, an image with the inscription "DRENKE" will appear on the screen. By selecting also "Information and "Module", you can start updating the software.

After completing the steps, the latest version 1.2.6 should be recorded on the receiver. Changes will also occur in the software module. That is, the number of the new version will look like this 02.00.11. An important point should be taken into account. In the process of launching a new version, it is not recommended to turn off the power of the receiver. This may cause a malfunction during receiver operation.

On September 20, 2016, we launched other software especially for the following models DRS 8300, GS 8300M, GS 8300. To carry out all kinds of procedures, you must first unplug the power cord from the outlet, then plug the device back into the network. In order to switch the channel, you must select 333. In some cases, channel 333 is disabled and you will need to select the “Search for channels. The software version will be updated.

The new software is equipped with a level of safety and security. This contributes to the stable operation of the new receiver. With the help of new features, you can watch various TV channels in high quality.

The developers have added new functionality in the interface. The software has additional features. By clicking on certain buttons, you can go to the menu section and select the corresponding channel. For example, the red button exists to bring up the description of the movie you have selected. The green button can sort TV channels as you like, while the yellow one displays the list of movies.

After updating new equipment, you can see the status that appears in the process of completing all actions. As you can see, the procedure does not take much time. Each person can, step by step, perform the steps indicated in the instructions. If you have any questions, we suggest contacting Tricolor TV support.

Installing new software is an important part of operating the equipment of the largest Russian satellite operator. Today's review is about how to properly update Tricolor TV receivers and modules and protect yourself from common mistakes.

Why do Tricolor TV receivers need new firmware?

The satellite signal is converted into an image on the TV screen thanks to a set-top box-receiver or a conditional access module. Their work is controlled by a complex of complex programs, which is also called "firmware".

The largest satellite operator has repeatedly stated that it is striving for new levels of TV viewing and is heading to improve the functionality of its equipment. To this end, the direct manufacturer of set-top boxes (General Satellite) regularly releases new versions of software for them. As stated, the new firmware is only for the benefit of subscribers:

  • their receivers are more stable;
  • the list of channels available for reception is expanding;
  • Apps have additional features.

Tricolor TV service recipients are invited to update their equipment on their own by any of the available methods. As a rule, if you follow the instructions with the installation of new software, there are no problems.

Where to start updating?

First of all, you need to make sure that the receiver or CI + module needs a software update. You can do this in two steps.

Find out the installed software version

Depending on the set-top box and remote control, a picture with the necessary information is called up on the TV screen like this:

  • press the ID or Status button on the remote control;
  • go to the menu, then - "Personal Account" or the "Status" section;
  • write down or remember the values of the lines where the software versions of the receiver and the module are written for subsequent comparison with the actual data.

If it is used to display satellite television, the software is checked using the menu of the television panel. You must select the section that displays information about the connected conditional access device (its name may differ in different models).

Check for new versions

Find out which Tricolor TV receivers can and should be updated, really on the company's resource. There, in the section " Receiving equipment", There is a complete list of set-top boxes and modules that can currently work to display satellite television from the operator. It remains to open the page of a specific model, expand the line "Recommended software version" and compare with those that were previously recorded. If the values do not match, a flashing is necessary.

Updating Tricolor TV receivers via satellite

This method is recognized as the most affordable and most popular among the operator's subscribers, since it does not require the presence of additional equipment. All you need to have at hand is a receiver connected to a satellite dish and a TV and a remote control from it.

Detailed step-by-step instructions on how to update the Tricolor TV set-top box are suitable for almost all models. Minor differences may be in the appearance of the banners that are displayed during the process and, of course, in the digital designations of the versions.

Important: the firmware of satellite receivers consists of two components - the software of the receiver itself and the software responsible for the operation of the built-in module. Updating such equipment, as a rule, also occurs in two stages.

Order of procedure

Start the process like this:

  • disconnect the receiver from the mains for a few minutes, then plug it back into the outlet;
  • use the remote control to find channel 333;
  • wait for a message to appear with a proposal to install a new version of the software and confirm (the "OK" window, a similar button on the remote control).

Important: after the update process has begun, in no case should you interrupt it - disconnect the receiver from the network, press the buttons on the remote control. This can lead to a cardinal breakdown of the electronic component of the device, which even an experienced master will not be able to fix.

During the download and installation of the firmware, notifications about the status of processes will be displayed on the TV screen. After about ten minutes, a banner will appear stating that the receiver update procedure is complete and that a reboot will follow.

The second stage (updating the module programs) is performed in a similar way - turn on the set-top box on the 333rd channel, wait for a message with an update offer and start the process (it will last about five minutes).

Important: after the receiver reboots for the second time, it is advisable to verify the positive results of the updates. To do this, you need to go back to the set-top box menu and see what data is displayed there (there must be a new version for both the receiver and the module).

Updating Tricolor TV receivers via the Internet

The method is similar to updating via satellite. The only difference is that the receiver is connected not to a satellite dish, but to the Internet using an Ethernet cable and the corresponding connector on the rear panel.

Then everything happens according to the scenario described above - there will be the same inscription with a proposal to download new software (if any), the subscriber's consent to start flashing the receiver in automatic mode. Direct participation will be required only at the second stage - when a message appears about the need to update the module programs (click "OK" again). After the last reboot of the receiver, the cable can be disconnected and the device can be used normally.

Updating the receiver from a flash drive

It happens that flashing Tricolor TV equipment via satellite is currently not possible. In this case, Tricolor TV offers to update the receiver manually via USB - using a flash drive.

You can download new software for set-top boxes on the equipment page on the official website of the operator. To do this, you need to find your receiver and click the box with the image. After going to the description of the model, under the image of the receiver (on the right) there will be a link to download files with the new software.

In a similar way, you can find updates and instructions for installing them on the resource of the set-top box manufacturer - GS Group. On the page of each device there is a section "Documentation and software". After clicking on this line, information about the current firmware and a special button for downloading it open.

Documents with updated software are downloaded as an archive. One of them has a detailed guide on how to update the Tricolor TV receiver via a USB flash drive - it must be carefully studied. Further, the files specified in the instructions are moved to the root directory of the drive and act according to the prescribed plan.

Important: before writing the update files to a USB flash drive, it must be formatted in the FAT32 file system.

Updating systems for viewing on two TVs

The procedure is a little more complicated if you use a set of set-top boxes for watching satellite TV on two screens. With this equipment option, the update is first installed on the client set-top box (GS C591 or C5911 models), and only then on the server-receiver (GS E501, E502 or U510 models). This sequence is observed regardless of whether Tricolor TV is updated via satellite, the Internet or a USB connection.

Important: The process is in the same order, with one exception: since the client receivers do not have a built-in module, their update consists of only one part. That is, it is not necessary to re-enable channel 333 or wait for a system message.

Conditional access modules update

If a conditional access module is used to decode the Tricolor TV signal, you can update its software only via satellite. To do this, on the TV connected to the dish, you need to switch to channel 333 (the Telemaster service application), and if it is not available, update the list.

Almost immediately, a notification will appear about the availability of updated programs for the module. Consent to download is easy to give - press the "OK" button on the remote control.

Important: In some LG TVs, the message about the need for flashing does not appear. In this case, in the module menu, select the “Software download” item, and in the window that opens, you will be able to start the process.

Further, participation in updating the module is minimized - monitor the status of the process (banners will appear) and make sure that no one disconnects the TV from the network. The system will notify you when the download is complete.

Tip: if the conditional access device does not reboot on its own, you can initiate the process by simply unplugging the TV from the network or briefly removing the module from the slot.

In order to optimize and improve the operation of its receiving equipment, it periodically provides updates to the receiver software, in particular the communication module included in it. These updates are available for a limited period of time in a given region and for specific receiver models. Stay tuned for announcements and if there is an update for your receiving equipment, follow the next steps.

Reboot the receiver. Just unplug it for 10-20 seconds and plug it back in. After that, switch to the Tricolor TV info channel - and after a few seconds you will see a message about the possibility of updating the receiver software. Click the “OK” button to start the automatic software update process. First, the system will load the necessary data. Then the actual firmware will begin. It is very important not to turn off the power to the receiver at this stage, as a failure during the update process carries the risk of completely losing the device's functionality. Upon completion of the process, a corresponding message appears on the screen and the receiver automatically reboots. If the reboot did not happen automatically, do it manually, as in P.1. When you turn on the receiver with updated software for the first time, you must re-define the remote control (we press the power button on it when the corresponding request appears on the screen). After that, the "Installation Wizard" of the receiver is automatically launched, where we alternately select the language, operator, set up the antenna to search for channels in the corresponding region. While searching for channels, the module software may be updated. This process will take a couple of minutes, at this stage it is also important not to turn off the power of the receiver.
