Engineering code for android volume increase. How to increase the sound volume on Android: app rating and manual tuning technique

There are two ways to carry out this procedure: using the engineering menu and through third party applications. The first option is more complex in execution, but does not require the installation of any additional software.

Before increasing the sensitivity of the conversational microphone of an Android device through engineering menu, it is recommended that you write down each step as well as the normal setting values on a piece of paper. If your manipulations have no effect, you can always return to the default settings.

The first stage is the call of the engineering menu itself. To do this, activate the dialing menu, and then enter the following combinations:

If your phone is not here, then just drive the model into the search and find out the unique code to enter.

After getting into the engineering menu, familiarize yourself with its interface and the settings that it provides. Exterior design may vary depending on different models phones, but general structure and the parameters to be changed are the same everywhere. Go to the "Audio" section.

All sorts of audio settings will open before you. Let's see what each of them is responsible for:

  • Normal Mode – active mode parameters (no audio devices are connected to the phone);
  • Headset Mode - parameters when turning on the headset or external speakers;
  • LoudSpeaker Mode - speakerphone settings. Activated when switching to the loudspeaker during a conversation;
  • Headset_LoudSpeaker Mode - a combination of a loudspeaker with connected headphones. Activated when turning on the speakerphone after connecting to any external audio device;
  • Speech Enhancement is active during a normal conversation on a smartphone (it is not connected to anything, and it is not in speaker mode);
  • Debug Info - data on restoring a backup;
  • Speech Logger - registration of conversation logs;
  • Audio Logger - built-in audio recording software with search support, quick start and conservation.

It is better not to go into the last three sections. Their purpose is not fully understood, and accidentally changing any settings can lead to system failure or disruption of the phone. Other modes offer a wide range of sound options that are not available in the regular menu. When you click on any of the sections, you will see the following characteristics:

These values are decoded as follows:

  • Sip - parameters of online calls;
  • Mic - change the settings of the conversational microphone;
  • Sph, Sph2 - settings for the main and additional earpieces;
  • Sid - changing these parameters can lead to distortion phone call. You will hear yourself instead of the person you dialed. Better not to touch;
  • Media - the volume of media files playback;
  • Ring – parameters of incoming calls;
  • FMR - radio playback level parameters.

If you go to one of these sections, the settings menu will open directly. The first item is to change the volume (or sensitivity) of the audio device (Level). A total of seven different levels of this parameter can be selected. Thus, Level 0 will be considered the lowest sound level, and Level 6 the maximum. Each of these indicators can be fine-tuned using the Value function. It reflects the sound level (or sensitivity) specifically for the selected Level value. The parameter ranges from 0 - 255. To change it, you need to remove the previous value, add your own and press the "Set" key.

At the very bottom is the Max Vol parameter. (0 - 172). This is the maximum level of operation of the audio device, it remains constant when changing the Level characteristic.

Having familiarized ourselves with the work of the engineering menu in theory, let's move on to practice. To increase the microphone sensitivity while talking on an Android device, use the following algorithm:

  1. Go to the engineering menu, and then select the "Audio" section.
  2. Go to the "Normal Mode" subsection, and in it - to "Mic".
  3. For best effect, give all Levels the same Value (for example, 235).
  4. Confirm your choice by pressing the "Set" key. This will save the entered settings in the phone's memory.

Many people may not be satisfied with the sensitivity of the microphone when recording sound with a voice recorder or recording video. To fix this, follow these steps in sequence:

  1. In the engineering menu, click on the "Audio" tab.
  2. Select "LoudSpeaker Mode", and in it - "Mic".
  3. Raise the Value at all sound levels. Adjust the sensitivity to achieve the desired audio capture volume.
  4. Save the settings by clicking on the "Set" button.

Don't forget to press the "Set" button to save otherwise your command will not be displayed in the phone's memory. Many devices also require a restart of the Android OS for the changes to take effect.

Changing the sensitivity using third-party programs

If you have problems entering the Android engineering menu or you have not found the desired combination of characters for your phone, then do not be upset. With the Mobileuncle Tools app, you can unlock this service on any device. To get into the engineering menu using the program, you need:

Using the Volume + program, you can increase the sensitivity of the headset microphone without entering the engineering menu. The application is absolutely free, and you do not need Root-rights to work with it. To increase the microphone sensitivity on your headset, follow these steps:

Many smartphone users have operating Android system often there is a problem with sound. Most models have a too quiet ring, which is difficult to distinguish on a noisy street or in transport, or music is hard to hear in headphones. Here all sorts of manipulations begin to amplify the sound on Android, first on their own, then with the help of friends and forums about modern gadgets.

But even after that, there are those who did not solve the problem and are still dissatisfied with the sound of their phone. This article is for you.

Helps to amplify the sound android program Volume+ is interesting program to increase the sound volume of your android phone. She is presented in Google Play. Fortunately, the app is free.

After downloading and installing Volume+, launch it. Here is the menu for you English language. You need to select the "Speaker Settings" item (speaker settings). This will take you to the menu. Here you need to check the boxes “Speaker Modifications” (speaker parameters) and “Virtual Room Effect” (virtual room effect).

Then alternately click on the items "Volume Level", "Bass Enhance", "Virtual Room", where all levels are increased by one. Do not install immediately +4. In this case, malfunctions, glitches are possible, from which you can then get rid of only by deleting the program and pulling out the battery. It is better to gradually adjust the optimal volume.

Is there also another option to increase the sound volume? This is where an equalizer comes in handy. To do this, go to the Google Play market and download your favorite equalizer. For example JetAudio.

In fact, JetAudio is a multifunctional program. There is also a player of various formats, and a ripper, and a converter. Among other things, there is a good equalizer.

To increase the volume of ringtones, games, videos and music, you need to run the program. Open Equalizer. The default mode is Normal. You need to open the "Custom" tab and increase the desired columns as you wish. Try playing any music. You will hear a noticeable difference.

Important: do not touch the 60 Hz speaker!

It is also necessary to remember that as the sound volume increases, the sound quality will deteriorate. Possible wheezing. If set too high, you can even burn the speaker, so be careful! The video also tells how you can do without programs and do it through the engineering menu.

Probably, many smartphone owners have faced the volume problem. For example, two things did not suit me. First - quiet sound dynamics for an incoming call, and the second one is very loud noise in headphones when receiving a call.

A little about how Android controls volume

If no headset is connected to your gadget (headphones, hands-free, etc.), then the volume settings will be the same, and as soon as you connect the headset, the settings will become different. For a general understanding, I will give a few examples.

Example 1 You listen to music on your phone, turn on the loud speaker at full volume, and when you connect a headset to it and turn on the loud speaker again, the volume may differ (it may be louder or lower, depending on which phone model or firmware version).

Example 2 You are watching a movie in headphones, the volume (meaning the volume of multimedia) is set to 40% and then after a while you have an incoming call, then the volume in the headphones will change to the general volume, in which case you can get a powerful sonic shock to the ears. Believe me, I have been blown up from the couch more than once in such cases, the fact is that the programmers have poorly adjusted the volume modes.

Example 3 You are on a phone call and need to switch to speakerphone mode, and you notice that the speaker is not as loud (or vice versa) as when listening to music; or the partner began to hear you badly, this is because in different modes The microphone may have different sensitivity. Also, when you connect a headset in the same situation and turn on the speakerphone mode, the settings are different again. This is how Android manages volume.

We learn the theory of the engineering menu

So let's look at what and how can be done if you play a little trick on the "Engineering Menu".

Before making any changes, we recommend that you read the article in full, and comprehend, and then experiment. Also take a piece of paper and write down all the default values in case something goes wrong. You can launch the engineering menu using telephone dialing numbers: we write the following combinations on it (Fig. 1):

picture 1

*#*#54298#*#* or *#*#3646633#*#* or *#*#83781#*#* - smartphones based on the MTK processor

*#*#8255#*#* or *#*#4636#*#* – Samsung smartphones

*#*#3424#*#* or *#*#4636#*#* or *#*#8255#*#* – HTC smartphones

*#*#7378423#*#* - Sony smartphones

*#*#3646633#*#* – smart phones, Alcatel, Philips

*#*#2846579#*#* – Huawei smartphones

Congratulations, you have entered the engineering menu (Fig. 2). Please note that the menu is different phones may differ slightly in structure. We find the section "Audio" and go into it. After entering, we see a bunch of unknown lines (modes) (Fig. 3). Here's what these modes mean in Android:

figure 2 figure 3

normal mode(settings section in normal or normal mode) – this mode is active when nothing is connected to the smartphone;

Headset mode(headset mode) - this mode is activated after connecting headphones or external speakers;

Loud Speaker Mode(loudspeaker mode) - it is activated when nothing is connected to the smart, and you turn on speakerphone while talking on the phone;

Headset_LoudSpeaker Mode(loudspeaker mode when a headset is connected) - this mode is activated when headphones or external speakers are connected to the smart phone, and you turn on the speakerphone while talking on the phone;

Speech enhancement(Talking mode) - this mode is activated in the normal talking mode on the phone, and nothing is connected to it (headset, external speakers) and the speakerphone is not turned on.

It’s better not to poke your nose into the last three sections:

debug info- it is not clear why - info on the backup of information or its debugging;

Speech logger- I didn’t fully understand, most likely, keeping a log during negotiations or recording chatter. If you check the box next to "Enable speech log", then after the end of the phone call, the corresponding files are created in the root directory of the memory card. Their name and structure takes the following form: Wed_Jun_2014__07_02_23.vm (Wednesday_July_2014__time07_02_23.vm).

What these files serve for and how they can be useful to us is not clear. The directory /sdcard/VOIP_DebugInfo (which is the storage location for files with backup information) is not automatically created, if you create it manually, then after the conversation it will remain empty.

audio logger- good sound recording software that supports quick search, playback and saving.

If you approach these modes wisely, you can adjust the volume of Android smartphones or tablets the way you want. When entering any of the modes, various volume settings (Type) will become available to your gaze. Here is a list of the main settings you need to know (Fig. 4):

figure 4

Sip– settings for Internet calls;

Mic– microphone sensitivity settings;

Sph- settings for the conversational speaker (the one that is applied to the ears);

Sph2- settings for the second conversational speaker (I don’t have it);

sid- we skip, when you change these parameters during negotiations on your smartphone or tablet, you can hear yourself instead of the interlocutor;

Media– setting the multimedia volume level;

ring- adjusting the volume level incoming call;

FMR– FM radio volume settings.

Further, under the item for selecting settings, we have a list of volume levels (Level) (Fig. 5). For a better understanding, there are 7 such levels, from level 0 to level 6. Each level corresponds to one “click” on the volume rocker of a smartphone or tablet. Accordingly, level 0 is the quietest level, and level 6 is the loudest signal level. Each level can be assigned its own values, which are in the Value is 0~255 cell, and should not go beyond the range from 0 to 255 (the lower the value, the lower the sound). To do this, you need to erase the old value in the cell, then enter the new (desired) value and press the “Set” button (the one next to the cell) to assign (Fig. 6). Be careful when using the maximum values, as the speakers may produce uncharacteristically unpleasant sounds in the form of rattling and other unpleasant effects.

Warning! Before making changes, overwrite all factory values (in case something goes wrong).

You must know!

Editing modes in the engineering menu

Example 1 How to increase the volume of an incoming call?

To do this, you need to go to the engineering menu, print the "Audio" section, go to the "LoudSpeaker Mode" mode and select "Ring" in the volume settings - the volume settings for the incoming call. Then sequentially change (increase) the values of all signal levels (level 0 - level 6). Also, for greater effect, you can increase the value of the Max Vol section. 0 ~ 160, if it is not the maximum (I set mine to 155, with a larger value, the speaker starts to “wheeze”).

Example 2 How to increase the volume when talking on the phone? (Increasing the volume level of a small speaker, the one that is applied to the ear).

Again we go into the engineering menu already known to us, print the “Audio” section, go to the special “Normal Mode”, select Sph in it - this parameter is responsible for changing the value of all signal levels in the range from level 0 to level 6. Set the one you need for us level. In the Max Vol. 0~160, can also be changed to a higher volume power setting.

Example 3 Increasing the volume and sensitivity of the smartphone's conversational microphone

To adjust and set the required volume level and also the sensitivity of the conversational microphone, you need to go to the “Engineering menu”> “Audio”> “Normal Mode”> select Mic - microphone sensitivity settings, and for all levels (level 0 - level 6) we assign one and the same value, for example 240. Now the interlocutor should hear you better.

Example 4 How to increase the sound recording volume while recording a video?

Suppose there is a need to increase the sound recording volume level during video shooting, then in the engineering menu for our loudspeaker (LoudSpeaker Mode) change the microphone sensitivity settings (mic), increase all values at all levels (level 0 - level 6), for example set to 240 at every level. I remind you of pressing the button (set) - we reboot our favorite gadget and rejoice.

By the way, do not forget to press the “Set” button after each editing of a certain parameter. This action should commit and accept your command for execution. Otherwise, the user-set parameters are not activated. In addition, a certain number of mobile devices require a reboot for the changes to take effect (turn off and on the device).

Good luck with your experiments, if something is not clear - write in the comments. We are waiting for your answers.

A huge plus of all devices based on operating system Android, is the ability to customize them. The user can change literally everything from appearance shells and ending with the addition of some new functions and capabilities to the OS, like in absolutely all applications and browsers. Google at one time added to its corporate software many hidden settings, one of which allows you to significantly increase the volume above the maximum.

All Android smartphones have hidden setting, thanks to which you can increase the volume by 20-30%, thanks to which the phone will become much louder. This can be useful in a variety of situations, such as listening to music at home or elsewhere, as it will then be loud enough for a mini disco. In addition, it will not be superfluous to increase the sound during incoming calls, since in this case the likelihood of accidentally missing them when the phone is in the next room is reduced.

You can increase the volume through the engineering menu available in the Android operating system. Immediately, we note that this procedure does not require root-rights of the superuser, so the volume can be increased without any difficulties. It is also worth noting that some manufacturers intentionally block access to the engineering menu in order to protect users from unauthorized intervention in the operation of the OS.

To increase the volume of an Android smartphone, you need to type the command *#*#3646633#*#* (it may be different for some individual phone models - use Google). In the engineering menu that opens, you need to scroll through the top menu, and then go to the section hardware testing, and then to Audio. If everything is done correctly, then two sections will be displayed on the screen normal mode and Headset mode. The first is responsible for the volume of the speaker, and the last - for that in the headphones.

Having opened the first section, in the top menu, click on type and choose Media. As a value Level must be left Level 0. To increase the volume, you need to Value is 0~255 and Max Vol. 0~160 set new indicators, higher than the original ones. If the default was 32 and 128, then you can safely change them to 45 and 160, but after each new action, you should press the button set.

Similar manipulations must be done with all other Level values, proportionally changing their value upwards. The editors of the site have prepared a list of optimal indicators that allows you to increase the volume above the maximum on most smartphones based on the Android operating system

  • Level 0 - 45 / 160
  • Level 1 - 60 / 160
  • Level 2 - 75 / 160
  • Level 3 - 90 / 160
  • Level 4 - 105 / 160
  • Level 5 - 120 / 160
  • Level 6 - 135 / 160
  • Level 7 - 150 / 160
  • Level 8 - 165 / 160
  • Level 9 - 180 / 160
  • Level 10 - 195 / 160
  • Level 11 - 210 / 160
  • Level 12 - 225 / 160
  • Level 13 - 240 / 160
  • Level 14 - 255 / 160

As you can easily see, the first item from level to level proportionally increases by 15, while the last option is always 160. After all the values are set, you should exit the engineering menu and restart your smartphone. If everything was done correctly, then the volume of the speakers will increase by 20-30%. At first glance, it may seem that all this is extremely complicated, but in reality it is far from being the case. The whole process takes no more than 5-10 minutes.

Until December 22, inclusive, everyone has the opportunity to Xiaomi Mi Band 4, spending only 1 minute of their personal time on it.
