Cocoweet - only Twitter, nothing more

In any case, the functions are identical, the choice depends only on the preferences of the user. First, the bad news: the program has flaws. First: for its work, it requires registration account on tweetdeck.com. To do this, at the first start, click on Create account, enter your e-mail and your password for this service. Then it will have to be entered again on the login page. And only then you can enter logins and passwords from Twitter and Facebook (yes, this social network is also supported). The second drawback is that there is only an English-language interface. The good news is that it looks exactly like I wanted:

You can add other ribbons. From Facebook, for example. The program deserves to be called, for example, "the center of social relations". It is convenient that there is integration with photo hosting services. Sending photos will be a breeze if you use TwitPic to do it. There is nothing more to say. The same Twitter.com, only improved. I am satisfied.

MetroTwit - spectacular Twitter

Microsoft designers came up with a style called "Metro", which will now be copied by everyone who is not lazy. The MetroTwit program is the first sign of such programs. When Windows 8 comes out, there will be more imitators. It has two versions - paid and free. The difference is that the paid one supports multiple Twitter accounts and "doesn't show ads" as written on the official website. Though I'm up for a day of testing free version never saw the ad. There are many settings, most of them are responsible for the appearance of the program and notification methods. At default settings when a new tweet appears, a pop-up window appears in the lower right corner of the screen. In truth, this method Alerts are quite annoying if tweets come to your feed frequently. In the notification settings window (“Alerts”), pop-up windows can only be disabled globally, which is not an option - it is still desirable to receive quick notifications about new personal messages and calls (messages with the text “@yourname”). Unfortunately, every time you start, even after setting up, the program still fills up with notifications about tweets, messages, replies. This prevents you from using your computer immediately after starting MetroTwit. Conclusion: the program is beautiful, but requires configuration and is stupid enough to annoy every time you start it and in general when working. It does not have a Russian-language interface.

DestroyTwitter - powerful and convenient

I will not attribute this to the disadvantages of the program, because Adobe AIR is a rather useful component that allows programs to work in different operating systems(in particular, MacOS and Windows), plus it does not harm the work of other programs at all. I have been using this program since the first beta versions. Unfortunately, it was damp enough to be removed and forgotten like a bad dream.
