Impressions from using the phone interface. When navigating menus, launching applications, scrolling in a browser, typing, etc. everything works fast enough, there are no “brakes”. By the way, after a couple of days of using this phone, I began to notice lags in the interface of my trusty Huawei Mediapad tablet (dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260 1200 MHz).

Touch screen sensitivity is average. I had no problems with it, although subjectively its responsiveness is worse than that of the Nexus 7 tablet.

The sensor understands two clicks at the same time.

I would like to say a few words about the touch buttons. There are three of them - context menu”, “home” and “back”. They do not have any embossed selection available for searching by touch, and their illumination turns on for a short time, and goes out, for example, when the browser is running. You can't see them in the dark. At the same time, their sensitivity is such that you have to press exactly on the icon of the button. If you randomly get not into the button, but next to it, then it does not work. This feature is sometimes annoying, giving the impression that the touch buttons are “dull”.

The screen is bright enough. I'm trying to compare LEO Q1 and Huawei Mediapad shot on the street, shooting conditions - a dim October evening sun begins to hide behind the roofs of houses. That is, the sun is there, but not direct.

The work of the W-Fi module does not cause any complaints, in my home network the phone connects at a nominal speed of 65 Mbps (Mediapad on the same network always shows 54 Mbps, although according to the specification it also supports 802.11n). There is GPS, it catches satellites quite quickly (with Wi-Fi it is very fast), both devices tracked my way from home to work, as they say, “nostril to nostril”.

Power supply. The relationship between Android devices and batteries is so complex and ambiguous that it's a little scary to proceed with the story.

Suffice it to say that while writing this review, I managed to change my opinion about the energy efficiency of this phone three times, and I'm not sure that I won't change it in a week.

Short conclusion: I have a battery life of about 30-35 hours, depending on the mode of use. This means that it makes sense to carry a charger with you (or at least a cord, since it is, unlike the standard Mediapad).

When buying a new phone (or a new battery), be sure to calibrate. Fortunately, the phone is smart enough to take care of almost everything on its own, our task is only to provide it with three or four cycles of full discharge and full charge. In my case, the phone suddenly turned off twice when the charge indicator showed 28-30% charge (that is, it considered a completely discharged battery as having 30% capacity, and about 30% undercharged it. Attempts to estimate power consumption and battery life in these conditions, naturally, gave the most disappointing results.

After three cycles with full discharge, everything became much better.

The second note, specific to Android: spend a little time and effort to identify the main “wasters” of the charge, then it will more than pay off.

(Aside: One of the apps I installed on the phone on the first day turned out to prevent the phone from going to sleep, causing the CPU to almost always run at 1 GHz, resulting in battery consumption being stable around 4-5% per hour. what I did with this phone.)

I also used the Greenify () application to “freeze” some background services when the phone goes to sleep, but in my opinion, the effect of optimization with its help is noticeably less than I expected. In addition, it requires root permissions to work.

As a result, I estimate that in my mode of use, the phone is quite capable of living on a single charge for a day and a half (day + night + day), and on the second night it can be put on charge again. This is not very much, but for a city dweller who rarely goes on business trips, it is quite acceptable.

I can not say with certainty where to attribute the presence of an FM radio in the phone. It seems to me that this is a purely youth “feature”. Operates in the "imported" range of 88-108 MHz. The regular application for FM radio looks spartan, although it can do everything that is needed from it - scan the air and record to a file (the format is the same as that of a voice recorder - 3gpp).
