Internet connection

The first condition for the operation of Smart TV is the presence of the Internet in your home. Moreover, the Internet must be wired, or the method of its connection must provide wifi router. There are 2 ways to connect your TV to the Internet to use the technology:

2. Via WiFi.

In this case, you need to connect the Internet network cable to the LAN connector on the back of the TV. If you have only one computer connected to the Internet in your house, then in order for the Internet to work on it and TV at the same time, you need to buy a special splitter (it is called a switch or hub) and connect the Internet cable to it. Then connect one of its LAN 1 outputs network cable with a computer, and connect the second LAN 2 to the TV.

Go to the menu by pressing the Home button on the remote control.

Select the “Settings” menu item and go to the “Network” section, select the “Network Connection” item in it.

On the next screen, to connect the Internet via a cable, go to the “Wired network” item, if via WiFi, select the name of your WiFi from the list wireless network. Next, click "Update" and wait. If a password is set for your WiFi network, you will additionally need to enter it in the window that appears.

LG TVs do not allow full use of the Smart TV function without registration. Therefore, in order to fully use it, for example, install various applications and widgets from Smart World, you need to register on the LG website. The process is simple, but if you are not at all confident in your abilities, it is better to ask someone who understands the technique better to register yourself. To register, follow these steps:

Go to the main menu using the Home button on the remote control. In the upper right corner, select Login.

Most likely, you have not previously been registered on LG Apps, so select the “Registration” item. If you have an account, then enter the data, click Login and proceed to the last step.

When I first went to Smart TV on an LG TV, I didn’t immediately understand how to install it there additional programs and games. Yes, you can guess that programs need to be installed in the application, and games in game world. But when I went into these applications, they didn’t even seem to start, or they wrote something like “no access”, I don’t even remember.

The fact is, it's not all that simple. First you need to create account LG (if you don't have it), log in on the TV with your username and password, and only then install the necessary programs.

As for the quantity and quality of programs and games, everything is very poor there (this is my opinion). I found only a few necessary programs for myself, and almost all games require a proprietary Magic Remote. Of course the list available programs and games are replenished all the time.

Create an account on LG TV

We need to register. This can be done as on the LG website (and then just log in under your data on the TV), and directly from the TV itself.

We go to Smart TV and select the profile icon (screenshot below).
