Read in the review how to draw on Android. All the best programs for creating drawings. And also helpful tips and instructions.

Creative people want to use Tablet PC or even a smartphone for drawing. Why not? Modern devices have a large screen, for drawing on which you can use a stylus - such an accessory is usually very inexpensive. Little kids can generally draw with their fingers, then showing the resulting doodles to their dads and moms. It remains only to decide on the application in which it is most convenient to draw. After all, not every Android device has preinstalled programs for drawing.

Draw on Android with SketchBook for Galaxy

If you have a tablet or Samsung smartphone, which supports working with a stylus, then SketchBook for Galaxy will definitely be found in the list of applications. For most users, its capabilities will be enough. After starting the program, you will receive an analogue of a blank sheet of paper. The entire interface is represented by a modest line with icons at the top.

  • In the upper right corner are tools that allow you to change the type of outline and color. That is, in this way you can choose one or another brush. Their diversity can amaze even seasoned connoisseurs. Adobe Photoshop- More than 160 brushes to choose from. The composition of such a set includes felt-tip pens, pencils of different sharpening and density, pens and many different stickers depicting plants, patterns and spots. Of course, the radius and opacity of each brush can be adjusted.
  • The second icon in the upper right corner allows you to adjust the color of the brush. This can be done both through the usual color wheel, and by selecting specific values according to the RGB system. There is also a set of ready-made color palettes. Not forgotten by the developers is the Eyedropper tool, with which the color is borrowed from the open image.
  • The third icon is for working with layers. Yes, this is quite unexpected, but the simplest at first glance, SketchBook for Galaxy allows you to create an image from different layers! Each layer can be copied, locked, hidden, cleared, and its opacity changed. You can also import an image from the camera on a separate layer.

What else allows this application? Go back about 15 steps back. For this purpose, a red arrow pointing to the left is used. Clicking on the green arrow allows you to refuse to go back a step. If you click on the ellipsis icon, you can access additional tools. In particular, here you can find "Fill", "Drawing Shapes", "Text" and different types guides. Here the drawing style changes - go from free drawing to drawing straight lines.

SketchBook for Galaxy is able to recognize exactly what you are drawing with. To do this, you need to activate the "Pen Mode" (located in the menu that pops up after clicking on the gear icon). In this mode, the canvas will not respond to finger touches - only the stylus will leave traces.

In a word, the application turned out to be very functional. It gives the novice artist complete freedom. However, not everyone has a Samsung tablet or smartphone with a stylus, and the program will most likely not run on other devices. That is why it is worth briefly talking about other drawing applications.

Adobe Photoshop Sketch

A few years ago, Adobe decided to release mobile versions their products. Some of them quickly ceased to be supported - you can find them in Google Play is no longer possible. Fortunately, Photoshop Sketch is recognized as a successful project. This program is available for free download. It also supports the creation of multilayer illustrations. Here you can save the image to PDF format, which allows you to continue working with it in the computer version of Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator.

The application contains a huge number of brushes. As a result, the artist can draw with markers, paints (of various types), pencils, pens, and more. All brushes are traditionally customizable - the user can choose the diameter and opacity. But most of all, artists will like the fact that the creators have introduced the ability to download additional brushes. It is recommended to use the Capture CC program to create them.

Of course, other tools are also present here - they allow you to draw shapes, lines and perform other actions. There are no problems with the choice of color either. Not to mention the possibility of synchronization with Adobe Stock - a bank of licensed images. Of course, a paid subscription is required to work with the photo bank.

Unfortunately, Adobe Photoshop Sketch has a serious drawback. To use the program, you need an account, and judging by the reviews, some people have problems with creating it. And it should also be noted that when saving the illustration, for some reason, the colors of the strokes become a little more faded.

How to Draw on Android Smartphones and Tablets with MadiBang Paint

Application named in Russian Google versions Play "Pocket Art" . Indeed, it turns the smartphone in your pocket into an artist's tool. The developers in this case took as a basis a computer Adobe version Photoshop, turning it into a mobile product. They got rid of those tools that are used extremely rarely, leaving only the most basic ones. For the most part, the program is designed for drawing manga, for this there is everything you need. In particular, the product allows you to easily insert into the illustration the so-called "bubble" containing a replica. There are no problems with text input either - there are many fonts to choose from. Present in the program and a large number of different frames. A choice of colors is also available - the most popular of them are activated in just a couple of taps. In a word, it turns out the basic functionality of a comic artist, located in your favorite smartphone! But of course, the MediBang app is not limited to them.

Familiar tools like rulers and brushes are also present here. It feels like the number of brushes is not breaking records, however, the most popular options are not forgotten - different pencils, markers, paints and much more are available. It should be pleasant to please and ready backgrounds- again, this speeds up the process of drawing comics. Interestingly, the developers of the application have introduced a forced decrease or increase in lines, which allows you to draw with your finger. But, of course, a masterpiece can only be created using some kind of stylus. As with many other programs of this kind, individual elements here you can draw on different layers.

Autodesk SketchBook

Autodesk also decided to enter the mobile application market. Her SketchBook performs best on a tablet, where the screen size allows multiple toolbars to be always visible, making the drawing process much faster. And there are a lot of tools! They help in creating both simple sketches and full-fledged illustrations. However, a huge number of instruments can be called imaginary. If competitors offer a universal brush, the shape, size and opacity of which are changed by the user over a wide range, then here different types of brushes are highlighted as separate tools. However, changing the brush parameters takes longer than clicking on, for example, the “thin marker” in the corresponding panel. That is, it is noticeable that the guys from Autodesk tried to speed up the drawing process, albeit at the expense of an overly overloaded interface. And they also understood that their creation could not be called ideal, so the program is distributed free of charge. In this case, the user has access to all the functionality. Advertising here, oddly enough, is completely absent - this is also insanely pleasing.

On smartphones, you can also use Autodesk SketchBook. But here the toolbars will have to be called from time to time, because they will block the usable space. First you will search the right tools long enough, but after a certain period of time, you still get used to it. It makes no sense to give a list of available tools - it is too long. Let's just say that absolutely everything that an artist may need has been added here. The library of brushes available is huge, and their settings are also beyond question. Of course, layer support has not been forgotten, without which it is almost impossible to draw chic art (although skilled artists will argue with this statement). By the way, you can add an existing picture or even an image from the camera to your work.

Perhaps, experienced Autodesk SketchBook artists will certainly like it. The rest of the interface may seem too tricky. Interestingly, Dropbox can be connected to the program, which allows you to save work to the cloud with one click.

ArtFlow: Paint Draw Sketchbook

The S Pen is not limited to apps developed by Samsung. This stylus is also defined by a program called ArtFlow. This means that on South Korean devices that come with the corresponding pen, the application will correctly determine the pressing force. That is, you do not need to choose the thickness of the line before touching the stylus - it is regulated by the force of pressing the pen to the screen. In a word, the sensations are as if you are drawing with a real pencil.

Of course, you can use ArtFlow without the smart South Korean stylus. The user should be pleasantly pleased with the functionality of the program, and the interface here cannot be called overloaded. As expected, the application supports working with layers, thanks to which different elements of the illustration can be edited at any time. Approximately 80 brushes are available to the user, including not only different types of pencils and markers, but also all kinds of blots and stamps. There is also a "Fill" tool here, which simplifies the coloring of an element. Not forgotten and "Eraser", which can come in handy at any time. What is important, all these tools are located in the top panel, it takes literally two clicks to select each of them.

Unlike other programs of its kind, ArtFlow allows you to quickly mirror an image, rotate it, and change brightness and contrast. That is, the application combines the functions of a “drawer” and an image editor. It turns out that instead of two programs on a smartphone, you can only contain one, thereby saving memory.

It may seem that ArtFlow deserves the title of leader in our rating. Alas, this is not so. Firstly, the number of tools here is large, but competitors offer an even larger arsenal of them. Secondly, this program contains ads, which can be annoying from time to time. Thirdly, some features of the application are opened only for money. It is clear that the developers are trying to make money. They are not Adobe or Autodesk - studios capable of releasing absolutely free mobile applications earning on computer versions programs. Finally, some users are having trouble saving. That is, ArtFlow does not work perfectly on all smartphones and tablets running Android.

Summarizing

In fact, there are many more applications designed for drawing. However, it makes no sense to talk about them all in detail. We have mentioned those programs that have the widest functionality - this is quite enough. Competitors largely repeat the applications discussed above, offering approximately the same capabilities, but on a smaller scale.

Have you ever drawn on a smartphone or tablet? And if so, what app did you use? Tell us about it in the comments.

It is unlikely that today anyone will be surprised to see works of art created without the use of traditional tools - paints, brushes and easels. Along with them, digital technologies have firmly entered our lives. Therefore, we decided to tell you how to draw on Android tablets or smartphones.

This article will present five drawing programs that, in our opinion, are worthy of your attention.

Autodesk Sketchbook App- a professional tool, which, however, can be successfully used by both eminent masters and novice artists. The arsenal of the program is simple, intuitive clear interface and a huge set of functions, the ability to scale up to 2500%, which allows you to perform even the smallest drawing of the details of the picture.

SketchBook exists in two versions - free and paid. Of course, for professionals, the second option is preferable, since it allows you to fully use the entire range of available tools (for example, more than a hundred different pencils, as well as brushes, pens, etc. versus ten free options):

Directly in the application, using the slow motion function, you can record on video the process of creating your masterpiece. I propose to watch such a video, it’s actually simply impossible to tear yourself away from watching this action (video on English language, but this does not prevent you from enjoying the process):

Drawing FP sDraw Pro

Another program that is perfect for creating quick sketches or sketches, as well as for real artistic drawings. Instant access to key functions v FP sDraw Pro provided by the volume key, without occupying a special menu of a separate place on the screen of the mobile device.

The application implements a unique method, thanks to which the lines of an electronic drawing are almost indistinguishable from a drawing made in the traditional way on a sheet of paper.

A convenient functional menu with many settings and tools, the ability to save your work in automatic mode are unconditional advantages that make this drawing tool one of the best programs for Android.
