Hello, dear readers of the blog site. Today we will talk about Yandex Bar - a popular extension (panel) for . Once it was a completely useless panel, which gives little to both an ordinary Internet user and a webmaster.

But now, in my opinion, Yandex Bar has grown out of children's panties and can be considered as a fairly convenient and complete tool that increases the convenience of surfing the net and which will be useful even to webmasters to a certain extent.

Although, of course, all of the above does not apply to all versions of Ya.Bar that you can download. For example, for Opera and Chrome browsers, this panel is unlikely to be useful to webmasters, because there is not much of what is present in full-featured versions that are intended to be installed as or Internet Explorer. I don't work with Safari, so I can't say anything about the functionality of the Yandex Bar version for this browser.

This is where you will get the answer to the question why such sophisticated (and, for sure, expensive to develop and maintain) hit counters, like Google Analytics, are positioned as absolutely free (and the same liveinternet, for sure, sells its statistics to search engines, otherwise it would not be free).

But counters are not on all sites (after all, many webmasters understand what this can turn out to be if the quality of the resource is not high enough), which is why search tools such as Yandex Bar are needed. It must be useful to users, otherwise it will not be installed, but among other things, it collects data about their behavior. Those. in this way, Yandex actually recruits free testers for itself, thereby improving the quality of its search results and their income level.

In general, search engines, just like you and me, dear readers, are fighting for a place in the sun, i.e. for the banal. Well, and it, just like for us, ordinary webmasters, will be directly proportional to the income received as a result.

After all, search engines (in any case, Google and the mirror of the Russian Internet) earn up to 90 percent of all money on contextual advertising(published in their SERPs and Adwords, respectively). True, we, dear readers, unlike them, have a much larger assortment, but, of course, on a much smaller scale.

Yandex Bar (newly called Elements and a link to a description of the differences between these two applications is given at the beginning of this publication) is now installed by many Runet users, and they, for the most part, did not download it on purpose, but simply forgot to uncheck the appropriate boxes when installing which someday free program, who entered into an agreement with Yandex or bought it in the bud (ala, Punto Switcher, the link to which I gave a little higher).

But nevertheless, now you can already quite consciously download and install Yandex bar for your browser (more functional versions for Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer) and at the same time not regret what you have done.

After you click on the "Install" button, Mazila may ask you for permission to install this extension, and after your approval, the Yandex Bar download will begin, then you will be asked about your desire to install this application:

So, find the additional buttons you need and click on "Install", located just below, and once again duplicate your desire in the pop-up window:

After that, in the same pop-up window, you will be prompted to make presets displaying new buttons on the Ya.bar panel and clicking the "Save" button after these manipulations are completed:

Actually everything, the buttons will appear on the panel. If something does not suit you (for example, their position relative to others in the Yandex Bar line), then you can go to the settings (the button in the form of a gear) and make the shuffling you need, and also, if you wish, change the order of their sequence to panels:

A set of buttons "Y.Webmaster" allows you to get quick access to this useful service directly from the bar, as well as view some indicators of your sites (if you have created separate buttons for them).

There is also an extended set of buttons for Ya.Money and many other buttons for Ya.bar, but it's up to you to decide what to put and what not. And in general, using Yandex Bar, I would not refer to mandatory attributes, because nevertheless this panel does not meet all the requirements of the webmaster, although in combination with other extensions for Mozilla browser Firefox it quite has the right to exist. IMHO.

Differences of Elements from Bar for Chrome, Mazila, IE and Opera

Download the latest version of Elements you can on this Yandex page by accessing it from under the browser where you are going to install this add-on:

And the main difference between the Elements and the Bar is that the new panel now has the ability to enter search terms not in a separate form, but directly in the address bar (saves the useful space of the browser), while along with the addresses you have already typed earlier, and Yandex search suggestions:

It looks especially wonderful in Chrome (the brainchild of Google). But personally, for more than ten years, I have mainly been using Yandex search, and all these violent actions of the Runet mirror suit me quite well (the flag is in their hands, the drum is around their neck).

Where did Yandex Elements go?
