It is for such people that smartphones with a powerful battery are produced, which will be discussed in today's selection.

It is important!

Many people believe that a high battery capacity indicates record-breaking battery life. But in the world of Android smartphones, this is not always the case. Operating system optimization, display technology, the type of processor installed, and many other factors affect the duration of work from a single charge. Therefore, a large battery capacity does not always guarantee excellent autonomy.

There are a lot of devices with an incredibly capacious battery. Our top contains only those of them that have good characteristics. Also, all of the listed models collect much more positive feedback than negative ones. It is not necessary to assume that to create a rating, we selected only smartphones with the most capacious battery - such instances are often too heavy, and their characteristics quickly make you think about replacing the device with some more advanced model.

DOOGEE BL5500 Lite

  • Battery capacity: 5500 mAh
  • Thickness: 10.5mm
  • Weight: 180 g

Price: from 6,700 rubles.

In an era of serious competition in the world of smartphones, you can find devices on store shelves with an emphasis on one or more components with a very budget price. Among all inexpensive phones with a capacious battery, a model from the DOOGEE brand stands out.

The smartphone turned out to be not only capacious in terms of battery, but also has an impressive 6.19-inch display with a modern, HD + resolution and a newfangled camera cutout. The glass is covered with Gorilla Glass, which increases its strength. The body of the device is plastic, but it looks nice. There are black, blue and gold options to choose from.

In terms of filling, the device is not too impressive, the low price affects it - MediaTek MT6739, 4 cores at 1.3 GHz, memory - 2/16 GB, there is a slot for a memory card with a capacity of no more than 64 GB. The rear camera is dual - 13 + 8 MP, the manufacturer indicates that the module was created by Sony, and this guarantees good quality in your segment. Front - 5 MP. As protection, the device received a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel.

In general, the gadget is designed for everyday work without much stress, as well as for comfortable watching movies.

  • Nice appearance.

Price: from 8,000 rubles.

In 2019, users began to wean that a secure phone is something ugly and big. K7 Power fully proves it. The device turned out to be thick and heavy, which of course is due to the huge battery, but it looks visually interesting. The material for the back cover is durable plastic textured to look like leather. The model has a durable metal frame that will protect the device when dropped on a hard surface. The 6-inch HD+ FView screen is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass. The top edge is so small that it is almost invisible. The back side looks interesting not only with a skin-like coating, but also with a matte metal insert on which a dual camera, a fingerprint scanner and a flash are located. In general, the device looks very nice, which can not be said about the internal component.

It was previously mentioned that the gadget received a huge 10,000 mAh battery and fast charging. Important point- 1 hour gives 40% capacity, it will take another 2 hours to get the remaining 60%. This is quite a lot, but autonomy in this case requires sacrifice. The performance of the model is not impressive - MediaTek MT6750 with 8 cores of 1.5 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. All this is very modest for 2019. The device is clearly not suitable for games, but is designed for simple everyday tasks.

The main drive is 16 GB, there is a slot for MicroSD, but instead of a second SIM card. The rear camera is dual - 13 + 2 megapixels, but users note that the additional module is fake, its real resolution is 0.3 megapixels, and the presence in the device is purely nominal. On the other hand, the main module of 13 megapixels is made by Sony, it does not give phenomenal results, but in capable hands, the photos are quite good for their level. The front module is 5 megapixels, it does not represent anything interesting.

Advantages:

  • Body impact protection.

  • Nice design.
  • Fingerprint protection.
  • OS - Android 8.1.

Now many consumers are trying to find a smartphone that requires the connection of a charger as little as possible. We propose to compare two models with a battery of approximately the same capacity.

A good option is Xiaomi Mi Max 2. It is a hit with many Chinese online stores. Inside this 6.44-inch phablet is a 5300 mAh battery. His problem is the price - for the device they usually ask for $250 to $280. If you are not able to spend such an amount, then you can consider buying DOOGEE BL5000, the details of which are described in official website. For the version with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of permanent memory, they ask for $139.99.

Let's look at the main advantages and disadvantages of the two models we have chosen. So the easiest way to understand which smartphone should be guided.

Design and dimensions

In favor of Mi Max 2 speak its impressive size. There is a 6.44-inch screen installed here! But the high cost this smartphone not because of its size. The fact is that an expensive Snapdragon 625 processor is hidden under the body of the device. Buyers should also like the metal case - it pleasantly cools the palm of your hand every time you take the device in your hand.

However, not everyone likes very large smartphones. Many people are looking for a more compact solution. DOOGEE BL5000 with approximately the same battery is able to please with more miniature dimensions. On its front panel is a 5.5-inch screen. And the smartphone is able to boast a more thoughtful design - curved sides and a shiny glass cover do not let you take your eyes off you.

Accessories

Interestingly, the screen of Mi Max 2 stands out only for its diagonal. The resolution of the displays of both devices is exactly the same. Full HD on different diagonals leads to completely different results. The pixel density of the Xiaomi product is 342 PPI (pixels per inch), while that of the DOOGEE device reaches 404 PPI. And the first device loses in terms of maximum brightness and recharging speed.

Another advantage of the BL5000 is the camera. It uses a dual 13-megapixel module. And what can boast of Mi Max 2? Only a conventional 12-megapixel camera. Remember, it costs a lot more!

Both devices considered today have the same amount of memory. There is no significant difference in battery capacity. By the way, below you can see the DOOGEE BL5000 battery test and unpacking of this smartphone.

Both mentioned models are sold on a variety of online platforms - from AliExpress to Amazon.

BL5000 is participating in the sale on Aliexpress, and when you buy a smartphone in the official online store, you will receive a ring holder as a gift and the opportunity to win VR glasses - all you need to do is confirm the order with a screenshot that is posted on the official community forum.

Since about 2013, smartphones with a large battery have firmly occupied a certain niche in the market. It turned out that some consumers are ready to face off with a thick body and a lot of weight for a smartphone that holds a charge for a long time. One of the first popular products of this class was such a “brutal brick” in black.

However, the potential of this segment was correctly assessed by Lenovo. In the same 2013, she entered the market with, which is equipped with a powerful 4000 mAh battery. Since then, the Chinese manufacturer has introduced four more products with a battery of similar capacity, albeit with a slightly different positioning. So in the Lenovo lineup there is a semi-image - large, thick and weighty, released in 2014.

The beginning of 2015 was marked by two new representatives of the P series: and. Both are equipped with a 4000 mAh battery, and at the same time very decent processors. The P70 offers a 64-bit 8-core chip from MediaTek, while the 5.5-inch P90 shovel features a 64-bit 4-core Intel Atom. In general, the products are interesting, but not cheap. Of course, their price is justified: the devices have high performance, relatively compact dimensions, and excellent workmanship.

For those who do not need such good performance, Lenovo offered the A5000 smartphone. It is also distinguished by the presence of a 4000 mAh battery, but the rest of the parameters are not so advanced, which automatically means more low price. This review is just about Lenovo A5000 - let's see what this device is.

Lenovo A5000 video review

If you are interested in looking at Lenovo smartphone A5000 in a natural setting, we suggest including its video review:

Now let's move on to the description of the design.

Design

Although Lenovo A5000 cannot be attributed to cheap tubes, it is in any case positioned as an affordable solution. So, you should not expect any special design frills from the phone. Recall that Lenovo P70 at one time came to our taste very much - it has a rather original design with an interesting purple color.

Lenovo A5000 looks completely ordinary - the usual elongated black rectangle. We dealt with the Lenovo A5000 Black, although there is also a white Lenovo A5000 White.

Moreover, the A5000 looks quite bulky. This is partly due to the strongly rounded corners, but the capacious battery also had a significant impact. Compared to the P70, which is equipped with a screen of the same diagonal, the A5000 is both thicker and heavier: 10 mm and 160 grams, respectively, versus 8.9 mm and 149 grams.

However, weight and size parameters had little effect on usability. In the hand, the phone lies well, except that it is somewhat heavy.

The back cover is also quite boring. It is made sloping along the edges so as not to cut the palm. The black color makes the handset quite stringy, and besides, there is no special coating here - it's just plain smooth plastic. The whole body is made of plastic.

The Lenovo A5000 looks like a typical inexpensive B-brand product. That is exactly what he is. However, Lenovo is not an ordinary B-brand. He stands out at least for the fact that he develops smartphones himself, makes them himself (though not all of them) and installs a proprietary shell. But we'll talk about this later, now let's take a closer look at the A5000 on the sides and inside.

Connectors and controls

Lenovo doesn't usually experiment with custom control and connector layouts, though the A5000 has some issues.

Above the screen are the speaker and the front camera lens.

Under the screen, as always, the touch buttons Menu, Home and Back are placed. They are applied with a clearly visible white paint, but are devoid of backlighting.

The left end is completely empty.

The top got all the connectors: a 3.5 mm minijack for headphones and a headset, as well as microUSB. The place chosen for them is not the best, especially for the second one - just try to talk on such a phone while charging to make sure. There is also a noise-canceling microphone here, which is not bad - usually it is not installed in smartphones of this price category.

The volume control and power button are placed on the right. Not the most familiar option for everyone - the author, for example, periodically got his finger on “Volume Down” instead of turning it on. But this arrangement of buttons is used more and more often, so this is not a minus, but a feature that you get used to over time. And then you start to press incorrectly on other smartphones.

Behind the bottom there is a slot with a metal mesh above the external speaker.

The rear camera lens and LED flash are placed at the top.

Inside, more space is always occupied by a capacious 4000 mAh battery. True, it was made non-removable.

Compartments for SIM-cards are made with reclining holders. Two sizes of SIM cards are supported: regular, full-size (miniSIM) and microSIM. On the right is a microSD card slot. If you have any problems installing any of the cards, then our short video will help you solve them:

In terms of the convenience of the location of the connectors, the Lenovo A5000 is not ideal. The microUSB port on top is especially depressing.

Contents of delivery

We received the Lenovo A5000 in a complete set and commercial packaging.

The box is designed ascetically - a plain white cardboard on which the phone itself is drawn.

There was nothing special inside either: user manual, warranty card, USB cable, charger and headset.

Case for Lenovo A5000

Finding a case or cover for the Lenovo A5000 isn't hard, but many of them are relatively inexpensive. Plastic or silicone backs - it is difficult to find something of high quality, which is logical, since a smartphone is not the most expensive product.

Such a plan silicone case for Lenovo A5000 can be bought somewhere for 500 rubles. As they say, cheap and cheerful.

This plastic cover for Lenovo A5000 is estimated at about 750 rubles. In our opinion, the silicone case looks better.

Screen

Lenovo A5000 is not an ordinary smartphone. Often, with its characteristics (read processor), phones are complemented by a relatively simple screen with a resolution of 960x540. Lenovo, however, decided to move the device to a higher league, equipping it with a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280x720. This gives a dot density of 294 ppi, which is far from a record today, but a good option for a relatively affordable device. The image is in principle clear, without "jagged" and the like.

In general, the A5000 performs quite well in terms of image output. In the sun, the screen fades very slightly and you can continue working with your smartphone. The display has a good supply of brightness, pleasant colors, wide viewing angles. In general, we have described all the standard qualities of an IPS matrix.

Objective measurements are not much different from subjective ones. The screen is not bad, but there are not enough stars from the sky. So its maximum brightness level was 439.28 cd / m 2, which is decent, and the black brightness in this case was 0.91 cd / m 2 - this is already quite a lot, black looks gray in the dark. Hence the not-so-great contrast ratio of 483:1.

The color gamut is quite wide - as big as the sRGB color space, but slightly out of it. But it won't be noticeable.

The white balance is off as usual, but not very significantly. The temperature graph is even, which is no longer a sign of a bad screen. At the same time, the white temperature is higher than the optimal value of 6500K by about 1000-1300K, so there is a slight violation towards a colder image.

The gamma curve at the same time looks very good - it almost merges with the reference curve 2.2. So there is no incorrect illumination of the picture or darkening.

The display recognizes up to 5 simultaneous touches. The maximum can be 10, but it is unlikely that anyone will need that much, especially on a small 5-inch screen.

There are no special screen settings - you can only adjust the brightness and time before it turns off.

From a larger display, the Lenovo A5000 suits us. In its price category, it looks organic and in any case surpasses cheaper smartphones with a 4000 mAh battery, equipped with a 5-inch screen of lower resolution.

Camera

Lenovo A5000 is not a camera phone or a flagship at all. This is an inexpensive niche phone in which the battery component is strengthened. In total, this means that he is not supposed to have a good camera as such. Of course, the manufacturer did not put "just for show", but you should not expect a breakthrough either.

The camera application is standard for Lenovo - it is part of the proprietary Vibe UI shell.

In this case, it offers necessary set features: various shooting modes, including HDR, overlay color effects, white balance adjustment.

The main camera is an 8 MP sensor. The maximum resolution is achieved with an aspect ratio of 4:3.

The picture quality is about average. During the day, in good lighting conditions, it turns out more or less decently, although sometimes there are misses with focusing. As soon as the light becomes less, the sharpness drops, the frames turn out blurry.

Video can be captured in Full HD resolution.

The video looks good, but the automation tries to adjust the autofocus during shooting and does not always do it right. This somewhat spoils the impression of the result.

The front camera has a resolution of 2 MP - not so much by today's "selfie standards".

The quality of frames from the front sensor is noticeably lower. They have a standard set of problems with the front camera: blur, chromatic aberration, flare, noise. In general, not the best option for a selfie.

The video shooting resolution is quite low - only 640x480 despite all the "HD-claims" in the settings.

The video from the front camera looks weak, and primarily because of the low resolution.

The camera really isn't the strong point of the Lenovo A5000, but in general it shoots at an average level. For the money that they ask for the phone, everything looks fine.

Lenovo's A series are smartphones aimed at the mass market, a kind of semi-budget products with more or less decent characteristics. The lineup 2015 includes A5000, A6000 and A7000 phones. We will now describe the first one in detail, but in general its main feature is a 4000 mAh battery. The second is a typical inexpensive 5-inch smartphone, and the third is a 5.5-inch shovel with an 8-core processor and Android 5.

Some special Lenovo specifications A5000 does not possess. As you can see, whose parameters are also shown in the tables and which was released back in 2014, it has very similar hardware, except perhaps for the screen and camera.

The MediaTek MT6582 processor in 2015 is not the first time we meet. Despite its relatively weak characteristics - four Cortex-A7 cores operating at a frequency of 1.3 GHz - it is installed in inexpensive smartphones very often. Even relatively non-budgetary received given chipset. Presumably, the reason for such popularity lies in the combination of relatively acceptable performance and price.

The video card of the MT6582 is also not the most outstanding - the outdated Mali-400 MP2 accelerator supports a maximum of OpenGL ES 2.0 and cannot be called fast at all. Although games are more or less launched on it, we will talk about this later.

Operational Lenovo memory A5000 got 1 GB. Also a mid-budget option and nothing outstanding - models in this price category are already gradually moving to 1.5 GB of RAM. Built-in flash memory has 8 GB, of which 4 GB is available to the user. So you can rejoice - there will be no torment that accompanied the 4-gigabyte versions of the Lenovo P780.

Communication capabilities are completely standard and are determined by the MT6582 processor. This means support for 3G only at speeds up to 21 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11n and Bluetooth 4.0. In principle, for an affordable product, it is quite a worthy kit.

If you paid attention to the table of characteristics, then in comparison with Highscreen Zera S Power Our Lenovo A5000 is thinner, but heavier - obviously, the large screen diagonal affects. And how are they in terms of performance and autonomy? Let's get a look.

Performance Testing

Compared smartphones have almost the same characteristics. The only thing that can affect the final result is the higher screen resolution of the Lenovo A5000. Still, the smartphone's video card will have to render a larger image. For this reason, we also added the results of the Highscreen Boost 2 SE, another well-known smartphone with a powerful battery, to the comparison. It is still on sale and its price is close to A5000. At the same time, he has a more decent Snapdragon processor 400 but old android 4.3 without the possibility of updating.

Well, what can I say? The old system-wide performance tests showed exactly what we expected - parity between the A5000 and Zera S Power and a noticeable superiority of Boost 2 SE. The results for Antutu are not given because Boost 2 SE was tested on the old version of this benchmark, and the other two smartphones there also received almost the same number of points.

With the SunSpider browser test, something went wrong with the Lenovo A5000, which turned out to be noticeably worse than the “highscreens”.

The Nenamark2 3D benchmark is relatively simple, so all handsets showed similar high level FPS. Although the Lenovo A5000 falls slightly behind the rest due to the combination of a weak graphics card and high resolution.

In a more difficult but also old game, the electopia A5000 was the worst performer for the same reason. And Zera S Power, on the contrary, “broke” everyone because of the low screen resolution.

At the same time, 3D tests that measure everything in "parrots" favored the Boost 2 SE and its Adreno 305 graphics card. The A5000 and Zera S Power with their Mali-400 MP2 are not capable of much.

And here is the most interesting thing - autonomy. According to , Lenovo A5000 turned out to be a very decent option. It beat everyone except for the Boost 2 SE with its 6000 mAh battery. But here everything is so clear. However, its version with a 3000 mAh battery is not far behind the A5000, which, recall, has a battery capacity of 4000 mAh. Well, Zera S Power remained an outsider. Even despite the smaller screen diagonal and its lower resolution, these factors also affect energy consumption.

Lenovo A5000 battery consumption is the most with the screen on. Of course, it increases even more if you put a load on the processor or start transferring data to cellular network. That is, games and 3G eat up the battery the fastest.

And in case the battery charge is very small, there is a special emergency power saving mode.

In principle, games on the Lenovo A5000 run and work, in most cases without brakes. But still, the screen resolution of 1280x720 and a relatively weak video card in places do not provide good gaming comfort.

  • Iron Man 3: prominent some delays;

Everything works well from the top. Most likely, the performance of the Lenovo A5000 in games will not bother you, with the exception of individual titles.

ON

Lenovo A5000 runs under Android control 4.4. For the summer of 2015, this is not the most relevant option, and while he is still "getting away with it" low-cost smartphones, but soon it will be possible to start recording this version systems at a disadvantage. Provided that there is no update to a more current OS. But for the A5000 it is not and it is not known whether it will be. At the time of writing, several corrective releases have been released, but Android 5 has not appeared. And this is despite the fact that there are drivers for the MediaTek MT6582 processor for the "fifth robot" - this is perfectly confirmed by the already mentioned LG Magna with the same chip and a more recent system.

Lenovo, as always, has installed a proprietary Vibe UI shell on its smartphone. She met us again bright wallpaper and the same icons. But in general, we didn’t see any changes there, when compared with the Lenovo P70, which we “chased” in February 2015. Recall that a distinctive feature of the shell is that application icons are displayed on desktops, there is no separate list.

In order not to clutter up desktops at all and not create a dozen of them, many applications are grouped into folders. There is a separate folder for programs from Google, clients are collected in another social networks, the third has various tools for work (calculator, voice recorder, alarm clock, and so on), and the fourth combines games, or rather links to download them.

A separate desktop was given to Yandex applications. Here is their complete set: Yandex.Disk client, Yandex.Taxi, Yandex.Metro, search, maps, and even a browser. In our opinion, all this is superfluous and only clutters up not the most extensive place on the smartphone's drive. There's nothing you can do - Lenovo hosts programs under an agreement with the search engine. The good thing is that all this can be easily removed.

Lenovo ships the Security app with all of its smartphones to keep you safe. It has a built-in antivirus, encryption, anti-spam system, parental control etc.

Equally useful is the SYNCit utility, which can do backup contacts, SMS messages, call logs, and then save it to the cloud or to a file.

The SHAREit application is also not the first time we have met - it provides a fairly simple way to share files between devices. In fact, a function that is sometimes needed and without additional software is not so easy to perform, but everything is already here.

The file manager, as always, offers user-friendly interface with the ability to filter files by their types.

Beautiful and functional calculator. For most it will be enough.

The Clock application, as always, combines an alarm clock, world time, a stopwatch and a timer.

The remaining features of the Vibe UI shell are standard. The settings look like a redrawn list from stock Android 4.4. The notification panel has also been redrawn, but in general it offers standard functionality.

Even though Android 4.4 is already modern solution you can’t name it, Lenovo A5000 in terms of software will suit many - everything is done conveniently, thought out and there is a necessary set of applications and utilities.

Conclusion

The Lenovo A5000 is a direct replacement for the P780, despite the series mismatch. Whatever Lenovo says, the P70 with the same capacity 4000 mAh battery offers very advanced features and is in a different price category. At the same time, the A5000 retains continuity precisely in terms of price.

Of course, the cost reduction automatically brought the considered phone to a different class, cutting down its characteristics. It doesn't have the fastest 4-core processor, doesn't have a lot of flash, relatively thick body, not such a good screen. However, just the screen, if you compare the A5000 with respect to analogues, is more or less decent, and even with a resolution of 1280x720, and not a "grainy" 960x540.

At the same time, Lenovo A5000 adequately copes with its main task - it works for a long time on a single charge. It does not have record results, but cheaper analogues have worse results, despite the same battery capacity.

The A5000 has no really serious flaws. Inconveniently placed microUSB port and non-removable battery- you can survive it. You can take a closer look at a smartphone if your budget allows you to spend the amount requested for it. Let's talk about her.

Lenovo A5000 price

You can buy Lenovo A5000 for 12 thousand rubles. The price, in our opinion, is not too high. The device fell just in the segment of mid-budget handsets. There are enough cheaper models on the market, but they also have worse characteristics.

Highscreen Zera S Power is just the one from the “cheaper” ones. For 8 thousand you get a small, heavy "brick" with a 4.5-inch screen of lower resolution and a worse camera. The rest of the device is very similar to the A5000. In addition, as can be understood from our testing, Highscreen Boost 2 SE is still on sale and is available for 13 thousand. The price is higher, but its performance and autonomy are also higher, especially with a 6000 mAh battery. There is a display of the same resolution, but old version Android, which obviously will not be updated.

The Senseit E400, a mid-2015 model, looks like an interesting competitor. It is sold at a price of 9 thousand rubles, built on the same platform as the A5000, but has a 5-inch screen with a lower resolution of 960x540. True, at the same time, the device offers a camera of approximately the same quality, a 4050 mAh battery and, best of all, Android 5.0 out of the box! And "naked", without any Yandex services in the load. It also has a metal back.

This late 2014 smartphone looks like a direct competitor to the Lenovo A5000. Philips V387 costs the same 12 thousand rubles, it has a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280x720, the same 8 MP camera, MediaTek MT6582 processor and Android 4.4. But at the same time, the device offers a 4400 mAh battery, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of flash memory. Such an interesting alternative.

Pros:

  • quality assembly;
  • good screen for its level;
  • good autonomy.

Minuses:

  • inconvenient location of the microUSB connector;
  • non-removable battery;
  • mediocre design.

Today we decided to introduce you to a lot of very interesting phones. The main quality of all these models is a very capacitive battery. Each and every smartphone on the list received at least a 5,000 mAh battery. Note that this is not a ranking of the longest-running smartphones, because high battery power does not guarantee long hours without an outlet. We will consider smartphones with the longest battery life in another ranking. Today we will present devices with the largest battery. Go!
