The 2017 P8 Lite version has already entered the Western market, but its specifications are an order of magnitude higher and the cost is slightly higher than $ 200, but not significantly.

13. HTC Desire 816 Dual Sim

Yes, the 2014 Desire 816 made it to our list of affordable smartphones, and despite being a phablet model 3 years old, its specs make it still relevant and a good gadget for the average user.

Why? First, it's a great build and HTC quality. secondly, this is another affordable phablet with a good screen for fans of this brand - 5.5 inches (1280 x 720, 267 ppi). Thirdly, this is a device at a price of up to 10,000 rubles, and taking into account the characteristics, it suits us. Back in 2014, its initial cost was much less reasonable.

When creating this review of smartphones priced under $200 or up to 13,000 rubles, I was faced with the dilemma that many new items, in fact, do not come out in this segment. But at the same time, there are enough smartphones in this price category. Even though MWC 2019 took place last month in Barcelona, we haven't seen any interesting devices in the sub-$200 price range hit the market. 1. Redmi Note 7

Our first place went to the Redmi Note 7, the undisputed king of the $200 price segment. Xiaomi's mid-sized killer comes with a large 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

Beneath the shiny Corning Gorilla Glass 5 we see the powerful Snapdragon 660 paired with at least 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage, expandable via microSD.

The main selling point of the device is the camera, although the 48 MP Redmi Note 7 is unrivaled in its price range. 48MP provide very clear photos when the subject is well lit, while in darker scenarios the pixels are combined into a larger 1.6um for best quality. On the front we find a 13-megapixel selfie snapper.

Finally, the smartphone is equipped with a large 4000 mAh battery typical of this series, along with a USB Type-C port, which we have never actually seen on Redmi devices.

2. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite

Staying in the Xiaomi family, we find one of the best-selling phones of recent months, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. Launched by a Chinese giant some time ago, this mid-sized company can now be found for less than $200, making it a very good deal. Behind low price you do get a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable via micro SD).

The smartphone also comes with a large 6.26-inch display with Full HD+ resolution and a 24-megapixel selfie at the top. On the back, meanwhile, we see a 12MP primary sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a secondary 5MP shooter to help with the bokeh effect.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has a 3350 mAh medium capacity battery and runs under Android control 8 Oreo with MIUI skin on top.

3. Huawei Honor 10 Lite

Launched a couple of months ago, the Huawei Honor 10 Lite is basically a response to Xiaomi's Mi 8 Lite, an alternative that some might prefer. The Huawei mid is powered by a Kirin 710 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM (or 4GB if you find a good deal) and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD.

The display on the Honor 10 Lite measures 6.21 inches and sports a Full HD+ resolution. At its top we see a water drop with a 24MP selfie shooter inside, while on the back we have a 13MP main camera along with a 5MP secondary sensor to recreate the bokeh effect in photos.

Finally, the Huawei Honor 10 Lite comes with a good 3400mAh battery, supports NFC and runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box.

4. HONOR 8X MAX

With the price dropping below the $200 mark, the Huawei Honor 8 Max has become a really interesting option in its price range, at least for phablet lovers. The 8X Max does pack a huge 7.12-inch FHD+ display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, which when paired with a massive 5,000mAh battery should deliver some pretty epic screen-on times.

In the camera department, the 8X Max packs a 16MP f/2.2 main shooter paired with a secondary 2MP camera for capturing bokeh photos, while on the front we see an 8MP f/2.0 "selfie" shooter.

Other features The 8X Max includes 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, 18W fast charging, and Android 8.0 Oreo as operating system from the box.

5.Lenovo S5 Pro

Finally, although it is quite difficult to find during this period due to the low supply, the Lenovo S5 Pro GT is probably one of the most underrated phones recently released in China. The S5 Pro GT is essentially an upgraded version of the old S5 Pro, which now features a much more powerful Snapdragon 660 processor. Along with the Snapdragon 660, we find a minimum of 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD.

All other specifications remain the same, which is why we see a large 6.2-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Full HD + resolution. At the same time, the cameras include a 20MP primary shooter paired with a 12MP secondary camera, while selfies are taken care of by another 20MP and 8MP dual camera setup.
