Phones with a qverti keyboard. Modern smartphones with qwerty keyboard

It is difficult to buy a smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard in 2019. In fact, the brand is exclusively engaged in the production of such devices. I am pleased with the fact that he makes them very high quality. Some of the models included in the rating of the best were released a long time ago, but even today they offer buyers good opportunities and are sold on various sites. Those users who are focused on the most modern and relevant devices should immediately scroll through the list to the end - the last two gadgets were released in 2018 and there is nothing newer for sale as of March 2019.

If you go to an electronics store, you will definitely pay attention to one fact. The vast majority of modern phones do not have a numeric or QWERTY keyboard. All of them are faceless in appearance, since most of the front panel is occupied touch screen. Where are the buttons? Why have smartphones with keypads become a rarity? The first smart devices could not be imagined without a keyboard. For example, the 9210 Communicator was made in the form of , many physical buttons were hidden inside it.

A little later, Nokia N-Gage and Siemens SX1 were released. This is very different smartphones, but they both had a certain number of keys. In the mid-2000s, PDAs and communicators began to appear on store shelves, in which the number of buttons was reduced to a minimum. They were controlled by pressing different areas of the touch screen. But the real revolutionary in this area was Apple, the first to release a touchscreen smartphone, which is incredibly easy to master.

Interestingly, the first devices on Android based- these were smartphones with a QWERTY keyboard. In particular, the first commercial model was Dream, which had a sliding block with keys. Devices of this type have been produced for several years. But later, almost all manufacturers abandoned this form factor. There are several reasons for this:

  • Google recommends (but does not mandate) keeping the number of physical keys to a minimum.
  • Smartphones with keypads are often large and heavy.
  • Such devices are less reliable.
  • Touch control is actually simpler than push-button control.

BlackBerry Prive

  • Operating system: Android 5.1
  • CPU: Snapdragon 808 MSM8992 (6 cores, 1.8 GHz)
  • Memory: 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM
  • Display: 5.43 inches, 2560 x 1440 dots

Price: from 22 990 rubles.

In 2016, the blackberry company unexpectedly released a push-button smartphone on Android, forgetting about its own operating system. This has benefited the BlackBerry Priv, as its customers can install a huge number of applications, while the Canadian operating system offers a very modest choice.

With the characteristics of the device, everything is in order. The smartphone has a good processor and enough headroom random access memory. All this allows you to run even very heavy programs and games. At the same time, the keyboard does not interfere at all, since it is implemented according to the retractable principle - most of the time you simply do not see it. A slider with a QWERTY keyboard is not only convenient, but also original.

It should be noted that this is the last device from the Canadian brand, which was produced at the facilities of BlackBerry itself. In the future, the creation of smartphones under this brand was assigned to trademark— TCL. BlackBerry Priv upsets only the high price and plastic case. But it is quite possible to put up with the second drawback, because it provided the device with at least some sane mass (192 grams).

Advantages

  • High resolution AMOLED display.
  • 18-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.
  • Convenient slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
  • LTE support.
  • Support Wi-Fi standard 802.11ac.
  • Long battery life.

disadvantages

  • old version Android.
  • Some people will find it hard.
  • Very high cost.

BlackBerry Q10

  • Operating system: BlackBerry OS
  • CPU: Snapdragon S4 Plus (2 cores, 1.5 GHz)
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM and 16 GB ROM
  • Display: 3.1 inches, AMOLED, 720 x 720 dots

Price: from 12,990 rubles.

This smartphone is made in a traditional form factor. Its main difference from most modern ones is the QWERTY keyboard present here. All buttons have a short, but noticeable finger stroke, so that the text is typed very quickly. It should also be noted the high build quality - usually a smartphone does not lose its presentation even after a year of use.

The screen of such a device cannot be large. But the Canadians managed to significantly increase the resolution, so that the display contains a lot of controls and a variety of information. Present in the NFC-chip model, but within the limits set here operating system it is practically useless. It is noteworthy that the screen of the device was created using AMOLED technology. Organic light-emitting diodes significantly save energy, as a result of which the device has to be charged every one and a half to two days. You can only find fault with the operating system, which can now safely be called outdated.

In 2019, a true fan of correspondence will like the model, which is much more convenient on than a touch counterpart.

Advantages

  • No noticeable pixelation.
  • Strong data encryption.
  • Good 8-megapixel camera.
  • Classic QWERTY keyboard.
  • Not the shortest run time.

disadvantages

  • A limited operating system.
  • Weak stuffing.
  • High price.

BlackBerry Passport

  • Operating system: BlackBerry OS
  • CPU: Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AA (4 cores, 2.2GHz)
  • Memory: 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM
  • Display: 4.5 inches, 1440 x 1440 dots

Price: from 20 999 rubles.

It is a symbol of its era. The latest device built on the basis of the BlackBerry OS operating system. Its creators decided to abandon the already traditional design, maximizing the width of the device. As a result, they managed to endow the smartphone not only with a fairly comfortable QWERTY keyboard, but also with a screen that has actually become a classic – until 2019, BlackBerry adhere to a 4.5-inch matrix. One can only regret that AMOLED technology had to be abandoned. Because of this, time battery life did not become higher (although the battery capacity increased), and the color rendition became not so good.

In fact, this is the best push-button smartphone based on BlackBerry OS. Inside it are good components, and therefore the user does not encounter slowdowns, and all applications are loaded almost instantly. The main camera, which has a 13-megapixel sensor and images, should also please. Well, support for LTE-A of the fourth category contributes to very fast data transfer. Finally keep the perfect appearance for many years. Surprisingly, with all this, the device weighs no more than 196 grams.

Advantages

  • Work in LTE-A networks.
  • Good display resolution.
  • Decent accessories.
  • Housing made of metal and plastic.
  • The main camera is supplemented with an optical stabilizer.
  • Not the highest price.

disadvantages

  • Some buyers will find the weight too heavy.
  • The front camera is weak - 2 megapixels.

BlackBerry Porsche design P'9983

  • operating roomsystem: BlackBerry OS
  • CPU: Qualcomm MSM8960 (2 cores, 1.5 GHz)
  • Memory: 2 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM
  • Display: 3.1 inches, 720 x 720 dots

Price: from 44,500 rubles.

Perhaps this is the most beautiful device with smartphone features among those with a QWERTY-keyboard. Although the device is far from new, it still has a large amount of memory. It is also impossible not to note the possibility of data transfer via LTE networks, which sometimes even modern devices do not have.

The main camera is 8 MP. The resolution of the front camera was suddenly increased to 2 megapixels, which is quite unexpected for the Canadian company. Of course, such a camera cannot be used for shooting, but it is quite possible to organize video communication with its help. It's hard to imagine a BlackBerry Porsche design P'9983 owner who doesn't have enough of that. And if so, a card slot will come to the rescue.

Advantages

  • Stylish metal body.
  • LTE support.
  • Large amount of memory.

disadvantages

  • Not the longest running time.
  • Outdated operating system.
  • Incredibly high cost.

BlackBerry Keyone

  • Operating system: Android 7.1
  • CPU: MSM8953 (8 cores, 2 GHz)
  • Memory: 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM
  • Display:

Price: from 21500 rubles.

All of the above devices were released at a time when BlackBerry was a company in its own right. In the same period, the brand cooperates with TCL Mobile by supplying their own services for them. The product of cooperation between the two companies was DTEK smartphones - Alcatel clones, but with BlackBerry software. In 2017, TCL Mobile is finally bought out by BlackBerry and the first brainchild is the KEYone model. Remarkably, it was created before the consolidation of assets, but appeared on sale after. Due to the absence of any relevant alternative (all of the above models are quite old), this device became a real gift for fans of smartphones with a QWERTY keyboard in 2017. There are few fans, but devices continue to be released for their sake and the result is very interesting.

Visually, the device has become a return to classic phones with a keyboard. At the same time, the device is slightly larger than the now familiar touch devices. It has an impressive thickness - 9.4 mm, a large weight - 180 grams and an extremely interesting combination of materials. The side face is aluminum. The back cover is plastic with a velvety surface and texture. In the hands of all this combination feels good, and the user immediately understands that he is holding a serious gadget. The manufacturer tried to make a noticeable device, so all the elements here are large - the camera, the logo, the control buttons. Everything is catchy, but not pretentious.

The model received a small display with sufficient resolution for its size. From a detail point of view, it is good, but traditionally for BlackBerry, it lacks brightness. Because of this, it is not very comfortable to use the device in the sun. The video is displayed more than well, despite the ratio of 3 to 2, but playing in landscape orientation is inconvenient. Here the reason is that the keyboard outweighs - it is tiring to keep the smartphone in this position for a long time.

The 3505 mAh battery provides 2 days of work at medium loads. If you use the gadget more actively, then it will still live for a day. This is a very pleasant indicator. In addition, there are . The device received 3/32 GB of memory, the main drive expands to 2 TB, the slot is combined. Chipset - Snapdragon 625, not the most powerful, but for this smartphone it is enough. Cameras - 12 and 8 megapixels. They take good quality pictures, have all the modern features such as face enhancement and the like. The maximum video resolution is 4K. Of course, photography fans will not appreciate the device, but most users will like the result.

The KEYone smartphone offers all proprietary software related to the protection of user data - BB Hub, Password Keeper and others. In fact, stealing information from a BlackBerry is impossible. For many people in modern world this is a weighty argument. It is worth mentioning that the model received all modern wired and wireless interfaces - Type-C, WI-Fi ac. Regarding the keyboard, too, not everything is simple. First of all, you can assign a quick call to a particular function to each button. At the same time, they support long and short presses. There are all the usual combinations - ctrl + c, ctrl + v and others to simplify working with text. The manufacturer did not forget about continuous input - you can swipe through the desired letters to form a word (similar to the touch keyboard). The fingerprint scanner is hidden in the space bar.

Advantages:

Disadvantages:

  • By the standards of 2019, the main drive is small, while the slot is combined.
  • Insufficient screen brightness.
  • It is inconvenient to play in landscape orientation.

BlackBerry Key 2

  • Operating system: Android 8.1
  • CPU: SDM660 (8 cores, up to 2.2GHz)
  • Memory: RAM and 64/128 GB ROM
  • Display: 4.5 inches, IPS, 1620 x 1080 pixels

Price: from 35,000 rubles.

Smartphone Key 2 from BlackBerry has become the most powerful device of the company. The device in comparison with KEYone has changed visually, and also became more interesting in terms of hardware. In terms of materials, the manufacturer, as before, settled on 7000 series aluminum for the frame and unusual plastic with a rubberized surface for the back cover. Due to this, the phone turned out to be non-slippery, very comfortable in the hand and smearing it is almost impossible. Interesting feature associated with glass coating. The previous model used Gorilla glass 4, in this case, the 3rd generation was used. This is due to the fact that the device received small frames around the screen, which eliminates the impact on it, and besides, the weight was shifted to the keyboard. If the smartphone falls, it will hit the keyboard. However, the 3rd generation protective glass more scratch resistant. It turns out that it is almost impossible to break or scratch it - unless of course you do it purposefully with a direct blow. Another nice change is that the matrix has become brighter. The indicator is 550 nits, which is enough even in bright light. The company took into account the mistakes of past years and finally corrected the situation. The fingerprint scanner, as before, is hidden in the "gap".

Battery – 3500 mAh with Quick Charge 3.0. The charge is enough for 2 days of work. As before, the device has all wireless interfaces - NFC, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.0. The novelty received a good selfie camera of 8 megapixels, as well as a dual matrix on the back - 12 + 12 megapixels. Now the smartphone can make Bokeh and it turns out to be more than worthy. Another nice opportunity is shooting Slo-mo. It should be noted that the camera loses to numerous competitors in the same price segment, but do not forget that BlackBerry KEY 2 is primarily a working tool. Given this positioning, there can be no complaints about the camera.

In terms of performance, the phone turned out to be very thoughtful. Snapdragon 660 was chosen as the processor and this is a tribute to the best combination of performance and autonomy. For those tasks for which the device is designed, it is quite enough. It makes no sense to talk about memory, everything is fine here - 6 GB of RAM and a choice of 64 or 128 GB of ROM. Out of the box, the smartphone runs on Android 8.1, but the company promises an update to the next version 9.0. Naturally, all proprietary applications for optimization and safety at work are present.

Advantages:

Disadvantages:

  • Given the positioning, there are no cons.

BlackBerry Key 2

  • Operating system: Android 8.1
  • CPU: Snapdragon 636 (8 cores, up to 2 GHz)
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM
  • Display: 4.5 inches, IPS, 1620 x 1080 pixels

Price: from 26,900 rubles.

BlackBerry KEY 2 LE came out a little later than its older brother KEY 2 and actually became its budget version. The model received visual changes - in design and keyboard it is closer to KEYone, but the smartphone is lighter. The frame is made of metal back panel branded plastic, but with a new texture. The novelty was distinguished by new colors - red, bronze and black. The frame and frets of the keyboard are painted in them. It looks really interesting.

The novelty is powered by Snapdragon 636, which is an intermediate option between the chipsets of the first and second versions of the model. Memory - 4/64 GB. All this is quite enough for everyday work. The battery turned out to be the smallest - 3000 mAh, but at the same time it can withstand a working day without difficulty. There is fast charging. Gadget equipped double cam- 13 + 5 MP with all the features that the older modification has. Front module - 8 megapixels with flash. In terms of software options, the device completely repeats KEY 2. OS - Android 8.1 with an update to the next version.

In fact, this device was released for those who are closer to the design of KEYone, but need the capabilities of KEY 2. In addition, in comparison with latest novelty wins on price.

Advantages:

  • Up-to-date OS updated to a newer version.
  • Quality cameras.
  • Decent performance.
  • Corporate software.
  • Interesting body colors.
  • NFC support.

Disadvantages:

  • On the background previous models the device is not so autonomous, but in general it will be enough for a day of work.

Excluded from selection

Samsung Galaxy Y Pro

  • Operating system: Android 2.3
  • CPU: Broadcom BCM21553 (1 core, 832 MHz)
  • Memory: 384 MB RAM and 160 MB ROM
  • Display: 2.6" TFT, 240 x 320 dots

Price: less than 7000 rubles.

At one time, push-button smartphones on Android were produced by many large companies. good example That is served by the Galaxy Y Pro. It is a pity that the South Koreans did not produce a successor to this model. Now it is quite outdated - applications for Android 2.3 are almost never developed. But if you have recently used a QWERTY-smartphone from Nokia based on Symbian, then the South Korean product may well suit you.

The device with a twist keyboard on Android turned out to be very light - its weight does not exceed 108 grams. The keys are pressed clearly, their mechanism is made according to the traditional system - they should withstand at least a couple of years of active use. Concerning wireless networks, then there is support for 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. Only the minimum amount of RAM can confuse, which makes it difficult to use some services. And the screen could have been installed better, because the TFT-matrix is famous for its minimal viewing angles.

Advantages

  • Minimum weight;
  • Convenient keyboard;
  • Not the largest sizes;
  • Optimal price tag.

disadvantages

  • Old version of the operating system;
  • Weak components;
  • Camera resolution - only 3.2 MP;
  • A simple display.

Runbo X3

  • Operating system: Android 4.0
  • CPU: MediaTek MT6577 (2 cores, 1.2 GHz)
  • Memory: 1 GB RAM and 4 GB ROM
  • Display: 3.5 inches, 480 x 800 dots

Price: 10000 rub.

This device has not only a QWERTY-keyboard, but also a protected case. Practice shows that to use it constantly to dial a large number texts is not possible. But on the other hand, such a device shows itself perfectly in field conditions. The creators also assume that their creation will be used in and at work in the conditions of the most serious exploitation. You can break the X3, but with incredible difficulty. The device has not the worst components.

Most of all, the buyer should be pleased with the camera, which has an 8-megapixel resolution. And the LED flash will not only help make the picture brighter, but also allow you to find a thing lost in the bushes. There is also a front camera, but its resolution is so low that it is better to forget about its existence. Concerning wireless modules, then the device assumes its use in 3G networks. There is also a stable functioning navigation module that interacts with GPS satellites. If you have not gone very far from the urban area, then you can listen to the FM radio. And the smartphone is also capable of operating in the mode using the PTT Walkie Talkie 5km 400-470 MHz module.

Advantages

  • Decent accessories;
  • Protection against moisture and shock;
  • Good main camera;
  • Small but clear display;
  • Built-in radio.

disadvantages

  • The keyboard is not very comfortable;
  • Large weight (245 grams);
  • Working hours could be longer.

DELL Venue Pro

  • Operating system: Windows phone 7
  • CPU: Qualcomm QSD8250 (1 core, 1 GHz)
  • Memory: 512 MB RAM and ROM
  • Display: 4.1 inches, AMOLED, 480 x 800 dots

Price: 28000 rub.

When listing smartphone manufacturers, you probably won't remember DELL. This company works closely with, creating quite good laptops and all-in-ones. From time to time, this manufacturer strikes experiments. One of them resulted in the birth DELL Venue Pro.

This is a slider running the seventh version of Microsoft's mobile operating system. As usual, it does not devour resources, and therefore we recommend not paying attention to weak components. Although I would like more permanent memory, because there is no microSD slot. This smartphone with a sliding QWERTY keyboard cannot boast of a very high resolution display. But it is not so low that the pixelization is clearly evident. You can buy a smartphone with a keypad for the sake of typing a large amount of text. The operating system contributes to this - it interacts perfectly with Word and Excel. But otherwise, it loses to Android, since the number of applications developed for it is very limited. Also, it should be noted that the camera is weak by today's standards and a very decent weight of the device, equal to 192 grams.

Advantages

  • Original by modern standards form factor;
  • Well done work with text documents;
  • Slowdowns are extremely rare;
  • Pleasant to the touch plastic.

The QWERTY keyboard is perceived as a relic of the past, something that has already ceased to exist, or is simply not relevant. But as it turns out, many manufacturers have tried themselves in this path, and almost everyone has an experimental model.
When Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone, he made a very valid argument: the physical keyboard on the front of the phone takes up a lot of space that could be used for the display. It was Apple who defined the image of the smartphone in its modern form.
But this argument can be twisted. Is there a lot of space left when we type, because the keyboard takes up half the screen?
The pioneer in the field of full hardware keyboard on mobile phones was ( and is still represented in this segment most widely ) BlackBerry. She put a lot of money into these models, and after the triumph of touch screens and the corresponding failure of keyboards, she lost a large part of the market, which led to financial difficulties.
Until recently, it was impossible buy a smartphone with top specifications and with a QWERTY keyboard. Now BlackBerry has released its new model PRIV, which, one might say, is not inferior to the market leaders. For example, or Galaxy S6 Edge. But more on that later.
Let's see what kind of models exist on this moment to which you can pay attention.

BlackBerry Q10

Back in 2013, BlackBerry introduced its OS 10, which was focused on touch control, released two models Z10 and Q10. The Z10 has a full touch control, but in the Q10 they have not abandoned their usual keys.

And the smartphone turned out to be solid:

  • Elegant design, great build
  • Super Amoled 3.1 inch, 720×720 resolution
  • 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal, dual core processor
  • LTE, you will not be deprived of communications
  • 8 megapixel camera

Disadvantages:

  • A small number of applications for BlackBerry OS, of course you will find the main ones (twitter, vk, instagram, players, etc.), but the variety is not enough
  • For its price you can buy without a keyboard with better parameters

The phone was notable for its design in its time. Suitable for sophisticated buyers.

BlackBerry Passport

The model is very wide 90 mm, with an average smartphone width of 60 mm, that is, a third.
Advantages:

  • Protective glass Gorilla Glass 3
  • Very good hardware (3 GB RAM, 4 cores,)
  • 32 gigabytes of built-in memory up to 128 gigabytes of memory cards
  • Long battery life
  • High performance and system optimization
  • Premium display with excellent visualization capabilities

disadvantages

  • Special design and there is a drawback, still very wide
  • Operating system is not Android

The smartphone turned out to be specific, but certainly stylish, with powerful equipment and a high price comparable to the flagships of Samsung, HTC, Apple. But if you want something special - buy it.

BlackBerry PRIV

BlackBerry PRIV is probably the most interesting model that came out in 2105. It's a well-forgotten slider again! And what's important is it on Android 5.1.
Peculiarities:

  • Powerful hardware - 13 MP | 6 core processor| 3 GB RAM | 32 GB|A moled 5.1''
  • Beautiful design, curved display like Galaxy S6 Egde
  • The keyboard is not bulky, you can use both the keyboard and touch controls
  • Good camera with optical stabilization

disadvantages

  • High price
  • Errors in software environment and bugs, but it can be understood by experience android usage on their devices, BlackBerry does not have enough
  • I would like more battery capacity

Good day!

My acquaintance with DEXP MQ 3.5 began on December 30, 2014, so we have been friends since last year and have learned enough about each other, including all the advantages and disadvantages. Plus, we've been through it together. New Year, and that already means something.

The main distinguishing feature of this smartphone is a physical QWERTY keyboard. Many may question the existence of such a solution, but let's not draw conclusions ahead of time, but try to figure out if this is so. In addition, the smartphone has a 3.5" display and is based on the Android OS. Well, another important indicator is the price, which at the moment is some 3290r.

Package

Everything is strict and harmonious. A black small flat box, which is typical for most DEXP devices.

Equipment

The package does not boast of any frills. Standard USB cable, Charger, warranty card and user manual.

Appearance

Personally, I really liked the device. Lightweight, moderately compact, quite strict. And even the QWERTY keyboard fits harmoniously on the body of the device.

The material from which the smartphone is made is, of course, plastic, which is a standard solution for budget models. No gaps or complaints regarding the assembly were found.

Lies perfectly in the hand. Although for a large hand it may seem a bit small.

In general, at such a price, DEXP MQ 3.5 can be a great gift for yourself, as well as for your family or friends.

Connectors and controls

1. The manufacturer left the right end absolutely smooth, without any buttons or connectors.

2. On the left side we have the power and volume buttons.

3. Below are the micro USB connector, 2 speakers and a microphone.

4. Top only 3.5mm audio output.

5. On the back we see a camera and a flash.

6. The front side is the most interesting where we have front-camera, speaker and, of course, a QWERTY keyboard.

Let's take a closer look at the keyboard. Here, in addition to a set of letters, we can enter additional characters programmed on the buttons by clicking on the arrow with a square. In addition, there is a button similar to Shift, which allows you to enter capital letters. To change the language, you have to hold down our Shift + space. Being on the main screen or in the application menu, if you start pressing the hardware buttons, you immediately enter text to search in the browser. Or, if these buttons are for numbers, the dialing screen appears.

Surprisingly, even my Dyusha became interested in this smartphone and its QWERTY keyboard. So you can get used to typing on it with almost any size of hand (or paw)))).

Screen

Before us is a budget model, hence the characteristics of the screen are the most unpretentious. This is 3.5 inch TFT display with a resolution of 320x480 and 262 thousand colors. Of course, the resolution is not enough, and I would like more colors, but for this class of device, it is quite tolerable. For normal use and even for some games it is quite enough.

Viewing angles when tilted left and right are quite good.

But when tilting up and down it is much worse.

I would also like to note that when typing on this smartphone, the entire screen is at our disposal, because the keyboard has already been moved to the hardware, so 3.5 inches is enough for him.

As for the reaction to touch and Multitouch, the reaction is quite nimble and responsive, but the test for Multitouch showed the possibility of only 2 simultaneous touches.

Camera

The camera in this device seems to be just for being. With its 2MP, you can, for example, take a photo for an image on a call. Although, if you dream up, you can probably find some other worthy use for it. But let's first look at the result.

As usual, we have some settings. However, little depends on them.

This is how the photos are taken.

And here's what comes out in low light.

But what happens when shooting a panorama.

In general, the quality is very dependent on lighting. But even under ideal conditions, there is a decent amount of "noise".

Video can only be shot stationary and in good lighting, otherwise it will turn out like mine. And it would be nice to remember to turn the phone around.

The front camera has only 0.3 megapixels, but somehow copes with its functions.

Software

Smartphone works under Android control 4.2.2, which adds a good plus to it. The performance of the system at the level, glitches and freezes were not noticed. Before us is an almost clean system with a small list of pre-installed applications, these are Navitel, 2Gis, Dr.Web. Otherwise, almost everything is standard.

In this way, the already beloved “curtain” is implemented by everyone, divided into notifications and quick switches for the main settings.

When typing a message or any other text field appears, by default, the software keyboard is not available in order to enjoy all the delights of the hardware one. However, this can be changed in the settings and the software keyboard can also be called at any time. But when dialing a number, large numbers appear so as not to suffer, typing their smaller counterparts on the keyboard.

Productivity

This smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek MT6572M dual-core processor with clock frequency 1 GHz. The amount of RAM is 512 MB. For everyday tasks such as making calls, texting, and even browsing the web or some applications, this is enough. With most of these tasks, the phone copes without brakes, even when they are launched at the same time. In terms of testing, AnTuTu scored our DEXP at 10472.

Compared to other models, this test looks something like this.

Well, the rest of the AnTuTu testing indicators.

Numbers and indicators are, of course, good, but what about the games? For testing, 3 popular, but not the most powerful toys were installed. And DEXP MQ 3.5 coped with them without problems.

In general, the productivity of the device is quite at the level. He copes with his tasks.

Communications and sound

Wi-fi and bluetooth in this smartphone do their job perfectly, without any complaints. We also have GPS with A-GPS support. He also has no complaints. My location was found almost instantly.

But as for the sound, I would like it a little more. Even at maximum volume, incoming call, the volume seems to be low. But during a conversation, audibility is excellent, both in one direction and in the other direction.

Work with two SIM-cards

The smartphone has 2 slots for SIM cards. One of them is a standard size, the other is for microSIM. The operating mode is alternate, i.e. at the time of the conversation on one SIM card, the second becomes inaccessible. Both SIM cards are available in standby mode.

Also, you can set the default SIM card for calls, SMS, video calls and the Internet, or each time you choose which of the SIM cards you want to perform an action.

Battery

Installed in the device Li-ion battery at 1400mAh. And my first thought was: "What was the manufacturer thinking about when he made such a decision? After all, a smartphone cannot live a day with such a battery!" However, what was my surprise when, with a fairly gentle use, the device lasted for almost four days. Of course, in fact, it just lay with me for about a day, and for the remaining 2 days it was operated extremely inactively, but still.

When testing medium-power games, such as those we looked at in productivity, the phone loses an average of 5% per 10 minutes, which means that it should be enough for almost 3.5 hours of continuous games. When viewing Play Market the battery was consumed at a rate of 3% in 10 minutes, that is, 5.5 hours of continuous operation. In general, it turns out that everything is not so bad. It is quite possible to live.

conclusions

Well what can I say? During the acquaintance, I became very attached to this smartphone, and it really proved itself from the best side. And you can close your eyes to all its modest shortcomings, knowing how much it costs. Another question, of course, is whether it is right for YOU. My Dyusha, for example, completely refused to return it.

But let's be more constructive.

Pros:

1. The presence of a hardware keyboard.

2. Support for two SIM cards of different sizes.

3. Compact and lightweight.

4. Fairly good performance.

5. Availability of everything you need (3G, GPS, 2 cameras, flash).

Minuses:

1. Camera (leaves much to be desired).

2. Ringer volume.

3. The battery would still like more.

samsung galaxy Y Pro

But once upon a time, Samsung also released smartphones with a QWERTY keyboard. What is the Samsung Galaxy Y Pro worth, which ran on Android 2.3.

This device had a simple hardware stuffing and a 2.6-inch screen with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels.

Samsung Galaxy Y Pro was sold even in Russia, so if you're lucky, you can find a used or refurbished device with a Russified QWERTY keyboard.

The Samsung Galaxy Y Pro used cameras with a resolution of 3.15 and 0.3 megapixels. The battery capacity was 1350 mAh. Of course, today this is no longer a surprise.

Qumo

Qumo Push 220

If you need a phone with a QWERTY keyboard "here and now", and even with a Russian layout, you can pay attention to Qumo Push 220. It is sold in one of the federal retail chains, and for some ridiculous price.

However, you must immediately understand that Qumo Push 220 is a simple dialer, so the use of a QWERTY keyboard will be standard. But this is just the tip of the iceberg.

The phone works only in 2G networks, and, judging by the reviews of the owners, the standard browser has a striking weakness. So you can simply forget about working with mail or surfing the Internet.

What is this extremely cheap device suitable for? It is hardly possible to find an adequate answer to this question. Is it possible to continuously scribble SMS, as in the distant 90s and 00s, when there were no instant messengers and social networks.

Alternative

Alternatives

How easy it is to make sure to buy handy smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard today, if possible, it is very difficult. In fact, there are no alternatives to several BlackBerry models, and they are not officially supplied to us, so you have to think about Russification (the most common option is engraving). And what about additional accessories for ordinary smartphones?

Manufacturers themselves do not indulge consumers with a special wealth of choice. Among the official keyboards for popular models you can highlight the Samsung Galaxy S7 Keyboard Cover. Surprisingly, this gadget is even sold in Russia, although the layout on it is not localized.

The operation of the Galaxy S7 Keyboard Cover is simple: you just need to put your phone in a case and attach a small keyboard. The smartphone automatically recognizes the connected accessory and adapts the screen to it (approximately 70% of the usable area remains). If the keyboard is not required at the moment, it can be installed on the back side, or unfastened altogether.

Similar official devices exist for Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy Note 5, that is, most of the latest flagships of the Korean company.

Also on online platforms you can find a variety of options for third-party keyboards for Apple iPhone 6/6S, 5/5S or 4/4S (the "seven" is still somehow deprived, although devices from the iPhone 6/6S can fit it). These can be both slider cases and book cases. Of course, there is no need to talk about the presence of the Russian layout.

Conclusion

In the recent past, there were many smartphones with QWERTY. Can you remember HTC Desire Z and Motorola Droid 4, as well as their direct predecessors. And what did the Nokia models of the E and N families with full keyboards cost?

Unfortunately, leading manufacturers have not released devices with physical buttons. There is simply no alternative to solutions today, so if you really need a device with a QWERTY keyboard, you need to look only in their direction. In addition, you can try to look for the original clip-on keyboard for Samsung Galaxy. Third-party sliders and books for the iPhone are also on sale. Finding them in retail is almost impossible, but you can order.

However, let's not forget that phones with QWERTY keyboards appeared at a time when people needed to type a lot on mobile device, and the standard 10-button input was not well suited for this. Today, every smartphone is present, which can be used both in a horizontal and vertical position, change the appearance, choose keyboards from different developers.

Moreover, you can use swipes and auto-suggestions, which, after some adaptation (both by the user and the smartphone), can increase the speed of typing. Of course, a touch screen won't replace a physical keyboard, but there's no need for a physical keyboard, even if you type a lot.

But all this does not negate the fact that manufacturers (with the exception of BlackBerry) have left the QWERTY smartphone market.

Mobile phones with touch controls are becoming a worthy replacement for push-button models. This has been happening since 2013. Currently, it is almost impossible to find a smartphone with a keypad on the shelves of modern stores. Despite this, some smartphones still have a sliding keyboard, and this fact indicates that not every company is fond of only touch displays.

LG Enact

LG is primarily focused on touchscreen smartphones. Despite this, the button model can still be successfully found. Moreover, the device successfully operates on the Android operating system. Maybe this particular device will please people who do not strive too actively and successfully to understand current trends.

LG Enact pleases with ease of operation, but at the same time it corresponds to its fancy brothers in terms of functionality. Among the additional advantages is a very powerful and decent battery.

There will be downsides, of course. For example, a smartphone has a small display (the diagonal is only 4 inches), but even such dimensions do not lead to a refusal to purchase.

Technical details:

Actually specifications are at an average level and suggest a practical approach to a mobile phone. The cost is $350.

Nokia C6

Nokia C6 has won a real interest in itself. The smartphone is ideal for fans of an active lifestyle, who still gravitate towards a qwerty keyboard. Mobile phone works under the control of the fifth version of the Symbian S60 operating system, which, fortunately, is characterized by maximum convenience.

The smartphone has 4 rows of keys that represent almost all Cyrillic letters. The exception was two letters - X, b. On the right side of the keyboard is a navigation system that successfully replaces the arrows. Among the advantages of buttons is their large size and convex shape. White backlight allows you to successfully and without any problems typing even in the dark.

  • bluetooth;
  • wifi;
  • corporate navigator;
  • the ability to use memory cards;
  • radio;
  • 5 megapixel camera.

The screen has a resolution of 640 by 360 pixels, and this is already enough to watch the video.

An interesting feature is the minimum weight (50 grams). The smartphone is presented in black and white.

BlackBerry Venice

BlackBerry offers a unique smartphone with a slide-out keyboard called the Venice. This model features a 5.1-inch curved screen. Technical data and functionality please:

  • screen - 5.1 inches. The most convenient and pleasant work is expected thanks to the smartphone display;
  • 8-core processor that successfully performs almost any task;
  • 16-megapixel camera that allows you to create high-quality pictures;
  • battery capacity - 3650 mAh for long-term work on a single charge.

However, initially the smartphone attracts with its unique design: the front glass is actually curved around the edges. It can be assumed with full confidence that such a form will please with maximum ergonomics.

BlackBerry Passport

This smartphone is popular with businessmen and executives. It should be noted that it turned out to be one of the fastest, best and most functional among models with a sliding keyboard.

The smartphone initially looks expensive and prestigious, which causes only the best impressions. Moreover, many people will be happy to be able to control in two ways at once: a touch screen and a slide-out keyboard. However, the smartphone is offered without the Cyrillic alphabet, which turns out to be an atypical drawback. For successful communication, you have to regularly use a translator from transliteration to Russian or double buttons, which actually complicates the process of typing any text. If you use the keyboard for navigation, the smartphone can be controlled with ease, because the buttons are adapted even for copying, pasting, highlighting different texts.

Despite the high cost (about 43,000 rubles), BlackBerry Passport is ready to please with its versatility. All functions are brought to almost perfection, which, without a doubt, leaves the best impression.

Despite the fact that smartphones with a keypad are becoming a thing of the past, similar models can still be found on the market. The most important thing is to carefully study all the offers and understand which option is best to stop. right choice, because only in this case you can be completely satisfied with the purchase.
