Usually, in budget devices, all the shortcomings of a weak filling and poor optimization appear precisely when working with a photo application, but Spirit has no such problems. I pressed the shutter button - I immediately got a picture and the device is ready to take the next one. This is how it should always be!

Of course, LG Spirit is not suitable for avid gamers. However, you can still play modern toys at low settings. So, Real Racing 3 starts and plays, in principle, without problems, but the frame rate is clearly not impressive.

In Dead Trigger 2, high graphics settings are obviously not available, but you can play at low and even medium settings without any problems. In general, take note.

Camera

The front camera uses a 1-megapixel module. The final images are obtained with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. In addition, the photos here sin with a lack of clarity, pixel noise, lack of correct exposure processing and all that. Selfie lovers can immediately pass by, but something can still work out. You can take a self-portrait by putting your free hand in front of the camera and clenching it into a fist. After 3 seconds, the picture will be ready - this is a very convenient gesture that LG has been actively using in its products since last year. In addition, you can take a photo simply by pressing any of the volume keys on the back of the smartphone. Fingers always lie close to these buttons, so it is also very convenient and there is no risk of dropping the device from your hands.

But the main camera of 8 megapixels is another matter. The pictures are of really good quality. Algorithms handle the correct exposure, and autofocus is fast and catches subjects with little to no misses.

It is clear that comparing the quality of the camera with that, for example, in the iPhone 6 (also 8 megapixels) is not correct, but for its level, Spirit really shoots well and will suit an undemanding user in full.

There are no special shooting modes, including creating panoramas or HDR shots, here. You can shoot according to the principle of pointing, touching the screen and the frame is ready, or you can first set the necessary basic settings, focus on the object and take a picture using a special on-screen key. That, perhaps, is all.

The video device is capable of recording at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels at 30 frames per second. The quality of the videos at the output was again a pleasant surprise: there is no blurryness that is characteristic of budget camcorders in smartphones and other signs of savings. As a portable audio player, LG Spirit fits perfectly. Of course, I mean a listener who is not demanding on the sound level. Firstly, it provides for managing the smartphone with one hand. The device itself is small in size, but the manufacturer considered that such functionality would not be superfluous. The virtual block of buttons can be shifted to the left or right edge - as convenient.

Secondly, you can activate the top additional line with numbers. Thus, you do not need to switch the layout to get to the numbers, and then go back to the alphabetic input. A very convenient thing, and not all companies have come to understand the need for this setting.

The first thing I would like to say about this design is practicality. You can’t say for sure whether such a display creates any special, more realistic picture, but one thing is for sure: due to such a curve, the glass of the model is protected from rubbing and scratches for the reason that it rests on the side faces. The surface on which the model lies is simply not in contact with the screen - and this is a noticeable plus.

As for the image transmitted on the display, it has a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels and a diagonal size of 4.7 inches. The picture turns out to be quite high quality also due to the high number of dot density - about 312 per inch.

Numerous tests carried out on the LG Spirit H422 (the review, in fact, is designed for this), showed that the phone has fairly wide viewing angles. This means that when you rotate and tilt the device, the image on the screen does not lose its illumination and saturation. And this, in turn, is an important indicator during the operation of the phone.

CPU

Of course, in addition to design and display, the hardware base of the gadget, its “stuffing”, is still important. In the case of the LG Spirit H422, we are talking about a processor for budget devices from MediaTek (model MT6582). In fact, this is a 4-core solution with clock frequency each of the cores up to 1.3 GHz.

In addition to the “heart” of the smartphone, 1 GB of RAM also deserves attention, due to which the practical tests of the smartphone (as well as its price affiliation) turn out to be quite predictable. So, the model can really easily reproduce various (including “bulky” in terms of graphics) games, although one should not expect anything supernatural. We can say the following: given the price tag, the smartphone LG Spirit H422 (in terms of performance) is presented quite worthy.

In addition to the response speed, an important issue is the volume internal memory gadget. According to the specifications, the device is equipped with 8 GB of memory initially (half of which is probably occupied by system files). The phone also has support for memory cards, thanks to which the above-mentioned amount of free space can be significantly expanded (up to 64 GB additionally). As for the first, the LG Spirit H422 is equipped with a 2100 mAh battery, which is clearly not a matter of pride. Compared to what other manufacturers offer, this is a low segment. There are smartphones that have 3-4 thousand mAh batteries with the same characteristics. In terms of the duration of the LG Spirit H422 (Black), it will last only a couple of hours of intensive work, which undoubtedly gives users a lot of discomfort.

The second factor - the rate of charge consumption - depends on how optimized the device and the systems that function in it. Since there is evidence that the model is heating up, this is already an indicator of poor optimization. As a result, the battery charge goes to the physical heating of the processor.

Camera

We are used to the fact that smartphones of this class are equipped with two cameras, so nothing has changed in the case of the LG Spirit H422 Titan. The front has a resolution of 1 megapixel; while the rear has an 8 megapixel matrix. Thus, the capabilities of the first will be enough to successfully maintain video communication using this gadget; and the second - to take quite tolerable pictures (even not in the best conditions).

Given the budget orientation of the smartphone, it can generally be praised by pointing to the images obtained with it.

Operating system

We have already noted that the gadget functions on Android based. We are talking about version 5.0, which was current at the time the smartphone was released, which was not the most stable, but had an interface similar to iOS. For example, innovative is the ability to add to the standard menu, consisting of three buttons (on the bottom touch panel), an additional key to change the SIM card and create notes. This, in principle, is convenient, but, in my opinion, it has no practical value, since these keys can just as well be placed on the main screen.

The phone, in the best traditions of its class, supports two SIM cards. This makes it possible to choose better tariff plans to the user, saving on some services of mobile operators (Internet, calls, messages).
