BQ smartphones review. Smartphones BQ: customer reviews of the best models

Traditionally, we start our reviews with the screen and case, as this is the first thing we see when any phone falls into our hands. Recently, manufacturers have learned to make very high-quality displays. This happened in the case of BQ ELEMENT. The display is good for the technology on which it is made. I mean IPS. This technology has a number of undeniable advantages. The main one is large viewing angles. Even at a very large angle, the image does not change color, and the brightness does not change critically. If we talk a little more and delve into its characteristics, then we are dealing with a five-inch display with a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels with a diagonal of 5 inches. And, of course, where without 2.5D glass? Here this fashionable rounding of the edges of the glass is also present.

But how can the phones of this price category in terms of visual design so this is the hull. Everything here is more interesting than it seems. Yes, the case is plastic, and the back cover is removed to install the battery, but at the same time, squeaks and crackles were not detected during the test when the case was loaded. This cannot but rejoice. And the back cover is made of plastic, treated in such a way that it feels very similar to anodized aluminum in terms of tactile sensations. Well, some design elements, such as embossed BQ letters on the cover and a large camera window, allow us to attribute the phone to the top line of devices.

In the same place, on the back cover, in its lower part, there is an external speaker. It is quite loud and sonorous, so the number of missed calls will not be very large. Not the most standard solution for the location of the speaker, but quite convenient. Well, it doesn’t close with a hand with almost any grip, unlike the traditional location on the bottom edge, when you can hold it with your hand in the landscape orientation of the device.

What is there inside?

After studying the body of the device and its screen, the question usually arises “what is inside there?”. In fact, everything is traditional for a phone that is located at the junction of the budget and middle segments, but at the same time it is very solid. The computing capabilities of the device are based on the MT 6735 quad-core chip, which, as a rule, is installed in most smartphones of this level.

But not everyone can boast of 3 GB of RAM. There is a small plus in favor of BQ ELEMENT. Built-in memory, by the way, is only 16 GB, but it is possible to support memory cards up to 128 GB. So everyone decides for himself how much memory he needs.

The eternally classic AnTuTu test measured the phone with 34,500 points. It was naive to expect more from this hardware, but for many tasks this is quite enough, unless, of course, we are talking about the most fashionable and modern games.

Do you like taking photos and selfies?

“Of course yes,” most readers will answer. For them, the manufacturer has already offered a 16-megapixel main camera. Of course, it cannot be said that the photos are perfect, but on my own I would add that it would be better if the camera was made at 12 megapixels, but with a larger pixel size. All the same, the level of shooting will make a good half of the main competitors envy. Of course, there is interference, and this spoils the impression a little, but nevertheless, as I already said, the camera is not worse than almost all direct competitors, which again refers to the advantages of the phone.

The front camera is 8 megapixels, which has already become the gold standard for all phones, from budget to flagships. The same matrix resolution is in BQ ELEMENT. At the same time, even in the mode without retouching, the camera introduces some smoothing into the image, which I personally do not really like, but there are many fans of this effect. Still, the camera in good lighting makes a very pleasant impression.

The camera itself supports a large number of settings, including many manual ones, as well as a document and QR code scanner in a regular photo application.

And the phone has...

On various little things WiFi type, and LTE is probably not worth stopping, but it’s worth talking about the fingerprint sensor and the number of SIM cards. There is no fingerprint scanner in this phone, which is strange, considering that the younger BOND model has it. Oh well, in the end, the phone can be “locked” using a picture password and digital code, standard for Android. Android in BQ ELEMENT, by the way, is the sixth version, that is, Marshmallow.

There are two SIM cards in the phone. So the buyer of BQ ELEMENT will not have any problems with the division of calls into business and personal, as well as with the choice of a convenient tariff, separately for the Internet and separately for calls.

It is also worth noting a capacious 2400 mAh battery. According to the feelings from the test, the battery will easily last for a day and a half of fairly active use. Of course, if we are not talking about constant use smartphone for playing outdoors at minus twenty. And the connector supports OTG, which is quite nice and allows you to connect to your phone various devices.

OK! What's in the kit?

The manufacturer did not stint on the package and included the following accessories:

  • BQ ELEMENT smartphone itself
  • battery
  • power adapter
  • charging cable USB phonemicro USB
  • headphones
  • a protective film on the screen (in this case, one is already pasted on the screen initially)
  • Protective silicone cover on the back wall

So what's the end result?

Summing up, I would like to say that there are a lot of phones on the border of the budget and middle segments and it is difficult to compete in this niche, but BQ shows that it wants to do this and makes certain efforts to provide the consumer with a good product for reasonable money. In our opinion, they are good at it, and even if you don’t even run to buy this phone, then at least pay attention to it when choosing.

We see with our own eyes what careless handling of a nuclear suitcase leads to.

genre strategy games reminiscent of architectural trends. It seems that there is baroque, which is more than one hundred years old, but still there are some new branches in the genre and the next rethinking of classical interpretations. It’s the same with strategies: it was possible to launch a nuclear bomb back in Dune 2, but only now was it possible to see how terrible and at the same time ordinary the consequences of her blow. In Game First Strike: Final Hour.

Kuzkina's mother's older sister

In the autumn of 1960, Nikita Sergeevich Khrushchev, from the rostrum of the UN General Assembly, said to the entire capitalist world: "We will bury you!" It was about the use of nuclear weapons in the event that the capitalist world does not stop hindering the development of the rest of the world. Of course, by "everything else" the world was primarily meant Soviet Union. And then there was the Cuban Missile Crisis and the greatest likelihood of a nuclear conflict between the US and the USSR in the entire history of the existence of these countries. Fortunately, our fathers and grandfathers did not have a chance to experience the full horror of a nuclear war, but history could have taken a different path, and this text would not have existed.

However, history buffs tend to add “what if?”, and perhaps among them were the strategists First Strike: Final Hour. The game is completely devoted to the pre-war situation, when the ballistic missile silos are already open, but the launch command has not yet been given. A globe is spinning on the screen, reminiscent of UFO: Enemy Unknown; the territories of the countries-members of the nuclear club are delineated on it. Three regions are available to the player on the go: USA, Western Europe and North Korea. The globe also features Iran and an unnamed country. The more successfully you fight, the more countries will appear, and in the final you will be able to play for Russia as well.

But in order to win, it is necessary to survive in a nuclear battle, and there are three ways to achieve this goal. If you still have a humble pacifist in your soul, you can create alliances and look for partners who can cover the “nuclear umbrella” from more aggressive neighbors and ask for help in a pinch.

You can win with an extensive method, capturing more territories, but the most common victory will be the total destruction of the enemy. Or maybe an ally, because not everyone can stand the nerves when half the planet is flooded with radiation. But all this will be a little later, but first you need to develop a little. Say, in the heir to "Civilization".

nuclear civilization

Each of the parties to the conflict initially opened several provinces. The higher the difficulty, the fewer provinces. Everything is like in real life: North Korea cannot stand alone against the United States, but this will not prevent the proud Koreans from expanding their territories - it is enough to choose their border province and direct their gaze to the neighboring one. Each province can only perform one action, so expanding the territory, building new missiles, developing anti-missile systems and researching new technologies will not work at the same time. Everything has its time.

Time is the most valuable resource in the game. You can get carried away by the accumulation of a nuclear arsenal, you can - by expanding the territory, or you can explore the system of automatic warning of a nuclear strike. You yourself are free to decide the fate of your state, and for the first half hour it can be an unenviable fate. When you see a nuclear missile flying into a province that is doing important research and you have nothing to say, you feel uneasy.

You experience even greater surprise when the rocket nevertheless reaches the target: the picture on the screen “dances” like gypsies at a wedding. All this is accompanied by a roar and dry numbers on the screen, reporting on human losses. And this is only a single strike - a massive nuclear attack can shake the planet in ten seconds and destroy entire states. Therefore, it is necessary to systematically develop your nuclear potential, but always rely on missile defense: this is the cornerstone of your success and survival in this difficult world, because survival is the goal of the whole game.

Post-apocalyptic cynicism

Surprisingly, the game does not end with the complete destruction of the state. She goes to the main menu, shows statistics and hints that a few more victories are needed to open new member states of the "nuclear club". And from that moment on, the impressions already remain ambiguous, because the game, for all its unusualness, is monotonous.

Yes, it is possible to build a Trident system capable of placing a satellite into low orbit and launching missiles at nearby enemies from there. You can create a "dirty bomb" and strike it at the territory of the enemy, but such that no one will ever live there in principle.

That's only after six hours of passage to do it all the more difficult. Technologies are still the same for the most part, the number of countries participating in the conflict is finite, but there is no global goal. Unless one considers such a complete opening of all countries.

Nevertheless, the game attracts to the monitor with its spontaneity and complete lack of political correctness. Over the defeated territories, the Geiger counter crackles like Spanish castanets, alliances break overnight, and yesterday's friend is able to send a rocket to the most important regions of your state... But the main thing: look at the nuclear winter after a nuclear attack in the game and involuntarily think about the real situation. I wouldn't want to face this in person.

First Strike: Final Hour- a unique project that shows a nuclear war without embellishment. The game manages to escalate the atmosphere of the complete inevitability of a nuclear conflict hanging over the native planet, like an old apple tree over the beds. And if you have ever dreamed of sending a nuclear "guest" towards the West, then you will not only enjoy the game, but will also become the main project of the month.

The delivery package of the Strike is quite good: in addition to the device itself and the battery, you will find a network charger, a USB to micro-USB cable, a wired stereo headset, headphones, as well as a warranty card and instructions in a thick red cardboard box. On the device, by default, it is pasted protective film.

Appearance

If the “face” is a novelty and resembles the usual products of the Android smartphone market, then the sidewalls and the back panel are attractive and individual. The structure of the smartphone is as follows: the screen and the entire core of the device are inserted into the body-forming aluminum bath. The solution is not new, but it has proven itself well and the design is strong, and there can be no backlash-gaps (although we noted some creaking when squeezing). The smudgeiness of the design is moderate: if there cannot be fingerprints on the back panel, then the front panel, due to glass and blackening, practically attracts them.

The dimensions of the Strike match the screen: it is medium in size, and the weight is slightly above average, but you quickly get used to it. In the hand, the design lies well due to the smoothed edges of the case.

It should be noted that the device does not slip in the palms, and corrugated inserts at the top and bottom add charm to the design. As for the colors, we had a light green modification in our editorial office, and you can also find black, dark gray, gold, red and rose gold on sale (recall, the “bath” is replaceable, but there are no cases in the free sale).

The filling of the case is familiar and we will start with the dominant - the front panel. Here, in addition to the display, about which a little later, there is a block of touch control keys, "return", "home" and "menu" - from below, as well as a speaker surrounded by a front camera, position / proximity sensors and an operation indicator - from above.

The left end of the case is devoid of elements, and the combined volume swing and the lock key are placed on the right end (the movement of both elements is tangible and expectedly tight - you won’t accidentally press it).

At the bottom end of the Strike there is only a microphone, and the top one is given over to the micro-USB connector and the 3.5 mm audio jack.

On the rear panel, in addition to the manufacturer's logo and the model name, we are waiting for a horizontal slot for the call speaker and the rear camera lens console with a flash bulb to the right of it.

To remove the "core" of the smartphone, a ledge is provided in the upper part of the case. Lifehack: for ease of manipulation, you can press on the rear camera module - then it will be easier to remove the filling.

Inside we are waiting for the battery in the appropriate tray, which in turn covers the slots for micro-SIM and mini-SIM. To the left of the cards is the micro-SD slot.

Screen

The device uses a 5-inch IPS matrix with HD resolution. In general, the screen is pretty good for a budget solution: it has natural colors and sufficient brightness.

The picture is clear, there is no graininess either in the textures or in the texts, and the viewing angles, if not the maximum, are generally acceptable.

Capacitive sensor, supports up to 2 simultaneous touches. If everything is clear with text input, then there were misses with command input (perhaps because of the film). When exposed to direct sunlight, the picture fades, but remains readable.

Software and interface

The device works on Android based 6.0 without any additional launchers. It is worth noting that Strike is one of the first devices from the company with "six" out of the box, and this is a significant advantage over the competitor even within the manufacturer's line.

The lock screen is standard: in addition to the current date and time, incoming notifications are displayed here, which can really be encrypted or hidden. Above is an unchanging status bar, and below, in addition to the “unlock lock”, there are icons available for the phone and the camera.

Desktops are familiar in content, though without circular scrolling. Here, in addition to changing the wallpaper, you can place widgets, folders and application shortcuts. The bottom row of screens is reserved for the changeable "dock" that follows the red thread through all desktops, and the top one is the status bar. Flipping the top curtain down, we will get access to incoming notifications, brightness settings and shortcuts for launching modules.

The main menu is matrix, 4 x 6, although the inscriptions of the lower row do not fit, but there is a search bar on top.

The settings menu is unadorned: a vertical lined list of options and a monochrome icon to the left of the inscription.

The Dual-SIM service is implemented quite competently: at the first installation of cards, the device offers to set defaults, which can later be changed in the settings menu. In addition, you can change the name of the map and the color of the display, although the event indication itself is very visual.

As for applications, along with the standard ones, you get social service Fund "give life", conductor, backup, Yandex services including the browser and the Apps Press hub with various services and games that require additional installation.

Hardware and Performance

The hardware filling of the novelty matches the price tag: a quad-core “stone”, a gigabyte of RAM and eight flash-memory. In this case, micro-SD cards are present and the smartphone offers to store either multimedia content on them, or mounts them as a full-fledged memory for software (although in this case, the speed of the memory card itself greatly affects the speed of the memory card - we would not recommend using slow ones).

Geekbench 3 (Single core/Multi core) 322/1009
AnTuTu Benchmark v6.1.4 24248

Epic Citadel (High Quality) 43.6 FPS

Somehow it happened that everything on the shelves of stores more smartphones sold under domestic brands. And although they are all going to China, one does not cancel the other. After all, the iPhone is considered an American phone and no one is buzzing.

But, for example, there is such a smartphone - BQ Universe BQ-6015L, the latest development of a Russian company that assembles its gadgets in China. And we also have it in the test lab, so we will test it.

In the package, oddly enough, does not contain anything unusual. It's just there cardboard box on which is printed detailed description specifications, inside the smartphone itself, instructions, charging, USB cable and warranty card.

BQ Universe BQ-6015L comes in two colors - golden and gray-blue with a steel sheen. The body is metal, it fits nicely in the hand, the corners are rounded, there is no backlash, the build quality does not cause any complaints. Although, of course, some owners of exacting tastes may be upset due to the fact that fingerprints somehow remain very strongly on the rear mirror panel. But even the most sophisticated owners of sensitive taste can buy a phone case in our time, and this will not spoil their communication with a good smartphone at all.
